Linnaeus Stigmata Guide by Reinbex

Hey, Captains! Today we are going to be taking a look at the Systema Naturae set: Linnaeus introduced in v5.2. The Linnaeus set is a Lightning DPS set designed for Lightning Valkyries who can summon entities. In this guide, we will review the set’s functionalities and where it excels best at. For the sake of convenience, the stigmata set will be referred to as “Linn“ and Mobius’s battlesuit “Infinite Ouroboros” will be abbreviated as “IO” in this guide.

Stigmata Details
※ Stats below are all Lv.50 figures.

Linnaeus (T) - [HP: 367; ATK: 116; DEF: 66]

The T-pc provides Total DMG and is best suited for those who can summon entities as well as land Combo ATKs often and quickly.

Note that Combo ATKs are not the same as Charged ATKs.

Linnaeus (M) - [HP: 483; DEF: 199; CRT: 8]

Provides Lightning DMG bonus to the host and her summons while also protecting the host from faraway enemies.

Linnaeus (B) - [HP: 362; ATK: 64; DEF: 66; CRT: 16]

In addition to the Lightning DMG bonus, the B-pc promotes sp-regen. This is ideal for characters who can summon often/multiple and/or have a summon that stays on-field for long periods of time. Note that multiple summons at the same time still results in only 1 sp/s, not 1 sp/s per summon. This effect only works while the host is on-field but the summoned entity can be from any team member.

Set Bonuses

Provides a refreshable and long-lasting 60% Lightning DMG upon summoning an entity and Move Speed bonuses. Extremely recommended for the host to summon an entity before initiating any other forms of DMG.

Provides ranged-only 40% Total DMG. The other bonus provides a max of 30% Total DMG (together 70% Total DMG). Since it’s easy enough to equip an ELF, it will always be at least 6%.

Stigmatas Comparison

Team Composition(s)

Since the only character who specializes in Ranged Lightning DMG, summoning entities, and Combo ATKs is Infinite Ouroboros, she will be the only DPS testing her signature gear. Fischl was not incorporated into the team to avoid using multiple Zhenyi sets in the same team (which wasn’t provided in the testing phase anyway).

Test Results

From the test results, IO performs best with Linnaeus TMB, with the Zhenyi TB + Benares set falling behind by about 5.4%. However, since Fischl tends to utilize Zhenyi and can be teamed up with IO, it’s unlikely for players who lack enough Zhenyi sets to utilize such a team.

Linnaeus' set is obviously best designed for IO herself. As a DPS-oriented Ranged Lightning character who utilizes Combo ATKs and summons, Infinite Ouroboros is the best choice of host for the stigs to equip onto. Due to the nature of the set, it’s recommended that the host summons an entity and performs a Combo ATK first to best optimize her DMG output.
Provided are sample video gameplays of IO utilizing Linnaeus:

Closing Thoughts
In conclusion, the Systema Naturae set: Linnaeus provides a lot of Lightning and Total DMG buffs as well as SP-regen for its host. If you wish to strengthen your Ranged Lightning DPS valkyries who utilize both summons and Combo ATKs, in particular Infinite Ouroboros, then I highly recommend this set for you!
