Early stage draft of Jade Knight & Original art of Jade Knight

Early stage design of Jade Knight
Plan 1

Jade Knight belongs to Schicksal, and it becomes the keyword for a design that adopts the traditional definition of European knight to be more aligned with the style of Bright Knight: Excelsis and Argent Knight: Artemis. The silk on her back is a highlight because silky ribbons are often seen in the costumes of ancient fairies or the traditional costume design. Therefore, we added this element and put in the concept that the power of her in combat will materialize as colorful satin ribbons that circle around her body.
Plan 2

Compared with other designs, this is a more dynamic and lighter design. It's one of our explorations going beyond the stereotype that a battlesuit has to be thick enough. Therefore, we added the elements of Magic Girl to her battlesuit while retaining the elements of the knight.
Final design draft of Jade Knight

Why was it chosen?
This is the first design draft, but also the final one after some modifications. As a Schicksal Valkyrie, Li Sushang is symbolic of many conflicting concepts. For example, modernity vs antiquity, tradition vs innovation, the European knight style vs the Asian swordsman style. We incorporated a strong combination of Chinese and western elements into the design draft to accommodate the contrast of different concepts and styles.
