Thoma 100% ruins Xinyan though. Since both of his attacks are shields he's a much better shielder than most shield characters including her. You can keep refreshing his shield too as long as you can keep up the alternating between his Burst and skill. His damage is meh though but he's meant to be Support anyway and Xinyan's full shield Pyro application can actually hurt you in the end if you trigger it while on grass and the shield expires. Also the man knows how to use his polearm. Doing his normal attacks it feels like his last hit rolls really well into his first hit leaving less delay than most characters who pose at the end of their sequences.
This actually messes up the free Xinyan we just got because how valuable does it make her? She was already nobody's favorite character to use and now with Thoma releasing so soon afterwards she's not going to be anybody's favorite. That flies in the face of all the other freebies we've gotten recently since they were all very competitive characters: Fischl, Diona, Beidou.
But I can't get mad about that event. I still love it, story, freebies, Shiki Koshou, Domain and all. [emoji]
