Hi all! I'm back this time with some interesting lore! Guuji Yae's rerun is happening very, very soon, so I figured it would be a good time to post about her. I might do a Childe one next too if this post is popular! Do note that I'm still a student, so I don't have much free time in my hands.

Yae Miko Personality and Background
Miko is the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the boss of the Yae Publishing House. Miko has a mysterious demeanor around her whenever she assumes her duties as the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine. When she assumes her duties as the boss of the Yae Publishing House, she is known to be very kind and enjoys reading books and stories, although she also shows an obsessive side in making profits at the same time. She has an enigmatic air around her, with her friends growing used to it. When speaking with outsiders or close friends, she shows a blunter and more cynical side to her. Miko does not mince words, even towards her friend and master Ei. Being a kitsune, Miko is fond of fried tofu. She despises pickled foods of all sorts.
Yae Miko based on Her Character Stories
- The popular genre at the time doesn't matter to Yae's published books. Instead, she wants them to 'surmount the tide'. She believes that things such as 'top sellers' and 'genre fiction' were naught but fads that would come and go every decade.
- For her, boredom becomes her greatest foe. As such, looking for fun things to do in every nook and cranny can only be the most reasonable and necessary course.
- For someone who enjoys studying humanity like her, "perspectives" and "virtue" play distant second fiddles to "fun."
Even a great shrine maiden of a different faith or an enemy general might pique her interest.
That said, this appreciation can sometimes lead to some innocuous trouble.
- She likes transforming into an ordinary Inazuman lady and have a day out.
- When the Raiden Gokaden failed at their work (version 2.6), The Shogun was about to give the final judgement when Yae interceded and rescued the Kamisato Clan in their hour of peril.
- Yae personally said to the traveler that she got her vision after a battle- wait, or was it a ramen duel?
