I’ve been pretty happy playing with ganyu aka cryo amber, and here i’m sharing some 5head things about some builds that I think fits her the most [emoji]

Main DPS: Wanderer’s troupe aka The artillery

I built her with wanderer’s troupe since it gives the bigger multiplier to her charged atk, you are using your taunt to reposition yourself and when you can’t atk faster than the enemy, your burst you should be used for some combos when there are too much enemies (with xianling burst, sucrose burst, anemo mc burst for example) or to dodge some attacks

Main stats: hp atk atk% cryo bonus% crit dmg%

Sub: crit dmg>crit rate> EM = atk%

The maths (Lvl 90 ganyu and lvl 90 amo’s, neither amo’s passive nor crits are taken in cue)

2414 atk and 38.7% cryo dmg bonus (one multiplier), 205% + 348% atk ratio from talent lvl 8 (second multiplier) and 35% charged atk bonus dmg from Wanderer’s 4 set (third multiplier). This one is a total dmg multiplier so it goes at the end

2414*1.387= 3348.218 atk

(3348.218*2.05) + (3348.218*3.48)= 6863.85 + 11651.80

(6863.85*1.35) + (11651.80*1.35)= 9266.16 + 15729.92 of cryo dmg

It multiplies after melt and crits, so the dmg will be even higher

With 15% cryo bonus from cryo set

2414*1.537= 3710 atk

(3710*2.05) + (3710*3.48)= 7606.15 + 12911.91 of cryo dmg

As main dps, your elemental support will be reacting with your cryo so you won’t be getting the 20% crit rate bonus from cryo 4 set often, unless you run a frozen comp, however you get 10% + 20% crit rate for your charged atk passively at lvl 60 so you will only need to roll for atleast a 15-25% more crit rate as substat, so you will end with too much crit rate

Even though, wanderer’s set is lot harder to get since it only drop from bosses, so don’t hesitate to adjust the build as you like

SubDPS/Elemental Support

1. Wanderer’s troupe 2 set + cryo 2 set ( 80 EM + 15% cryo dmg; hp atk atk% cryo bonus% crit rate/dmg)

2. Cryo 2 set + noblesse obligue 2 set ( 15% cryo dmg + 20% burst dmg; hp atk atk% cryo bonus% crit rate/dmg)

3. Cryo 4 set ( 15% cryo dmg + up to 40% bonus crit rate; hp atk% atk/ER% cryo bonus% crit dmg)

The maths here are complex to do since but easier to understand

First set has one multiplier and offers a bit of EM, but is hard to roll because of Wanderer’s troupe pieces, but if your comp plays around reactions, is pretty good

Second set has 2 multipliers but one only applies to her burst, tho she gets energy easily so thats not a big deal

Third set has just one multiplier and gives less dmg IF crits are not take in cue, since it passively gives you up to 40% crit rate, you can totally focus on crit dmg and get an insane amount of it, but you will need to play very specific comps to get the most of it, like sucrose + xingqiu + ganyu + fischl/xianling/bennet, barbara + xianling + ganyu + fischl/anemo mc/kaeya, mona/childe + venti + ganyu + klee/fischl/lisa/kaeya. They all need a catalyst as enabler (childe with his e deals hydro dmg), but the dmg is INSANE and the fun is even bigger
