[V3.3] Genius Invocation TCG Card Information | Character Skill Origins That Gets You Ahead of the Game! (Part Two)

Continuing from part one, we bring you more character card origins. Since the Genius Invocation TCG card mechanics are mostly ported from their counterparts in the open world, many information can overlap. The number on the upper left corner of the card shows HP and the number of Elemental Dice needed, we’ll keep everything simple from here on.

This time we’ll take a look at the skills of [Dendro] and [Electro] characters, let’s jump right into it!

①   [Collei]

[Character and Talent Card]: On the Character Card we see Collei appearing with Cuilein-Anbar as just the cutest duo~ On the Talent Card we see a very recognizable combination of Collei’s namecard design and the icon of her 1stAscension Passive.

The Talent Card pretty much falls in line with how the Ascension Passive works in the open world, dealing 1 point of Dendro DMG if a Dendro-related Elemental Reaction is triggered in the same round her Elemental Skill is used, and can be triggered once per round. This is similar to how the Floral Brush deals DMG in the open world. By playing this card, Collei will immediately use her Elemental Skill.

[Normal Attack]: Deals a fixed 2 points of Physical DMG.

[Elemental Skill]: No changes, deals 3 points of Dendro DMG.

[Elemental Burst]: More or less the same as the open world version. Cuilein-Anbar’s continuous damage has been converted to: dealing 2 points of Dendro DMG on round end, can be triggered twice.

②   [Keqing]

[Character and Talent Card]: On the Character Card we see Keqing holding the Lion’s Roar, and on her Talent Card we see the signature element of her outfit [pea**** feather] encircling the card. The floral design of her hair accessory also makes an appearance, nailing Keqing’s character with symbolic details.

The Talent Card reflects her 1st Ascension Passive in the open world, it’s original effect grants Electro Infusion after recasting her Elemental Skill. In the TCG, playing this card will cause Keqing to immediately use her Elemental Skill, granting additional effects to the Electro Infusion buffExtending Infusion Starting Duration by 1 round, and grants +1 to Electro DMG dealt by Infused characters. Personally speaking, I think this is a buff to Keqing.

[Normal Attack]: Deals a fixed 2 points of Physical DMG.

[Elemental Skill]: The skill has been changed from its original form, it now generates a Lightning Stiletto while dealing Electro DMG. This Lightning Stiletto will be added to your hand, which immediately calls Keqing to the active character field, casts her Elemental Skill, and infuses her with Electro Infusion on play (this effect does not generate another Lightning Stiletto). If you already have a Lightning Stiletto in hand when Keqing uses her Elemental Skill, you will not gain another Lightning Stiletto and the one you have will be discarded. Pay great attention to this detail during battles and organize your strategy accordingly.

[Elemental Burst]: The AoE skill in the open world has been adjusted in the TCG to deal 4 points of Electro DMG to the opponent’s active character and 3 points of Piercing DMG to their inactive characters. The change is similar to Ganyu’s Charged Attack.

③   [Cyno]

[Character and Talent Card]: On the Character Card we see Cyno figure in the desert like in the storyline, while the Eye, Runes, and Jackal Head dominate his Talent Card design. These are all elements in his transformation during combat, and the Jackal Head is the same as his Elemental Burst icon.

The Talent Card again reflects Cyno’s 1st Ascension Passive, which originally grants the transformed Cyno periodic DMG increase effect. On playing this card, Cyno will immediately use his Elemental Skill, and the effect of the DMG buff after his transformation is linked to the level of his transformation to reflect the sense of “randomness”.

[Normal Attack]: Deals a fixed 2 points of Physical DMG.

[Elemental Skill]: Same as the open world, deals 3 points of Electro DMG.

[Elemental Burst]: Deals 4 points of Electro DMG and grants +2 to the level of [Indwelling] for his transformation.

[Passive Skill]: Cyno has a unique passive which enters him into the transformed state at the start of battle, and adds 1 point of [Indwelling] at the end of each round, akin to the level of his transformation. When the level of Indwelling is greater or equal to 2, Cyno gains either Electro DMG conversion or DMG increase effects based on the level of Indwelling. This passive comes from Cyno’s 1st Ascension Passive where he gains a periodic DMG increase effect, in the TCG it has been broken down and integrated into Cyno’s character passive, with the same level-dependent trigger and randomness.

④   Fischl

[Character and Talent Card]: Can you spot the [Mitternachts Waltz] in the Prinzessin’s hand on the Character Card? Try again with a magnifying glass~ the Talent Card looks to be a mystical raven surrounding an arrow.

On play of the Talent Card, Fischl will use her Elemental Skill immediately, the summoned Oz will deal 2 points of Electro DMG when Fischl uses a Normal Attack. This is almost exactly the same as the open world Ascension Passive, only the open world version requires Fischl to hit with a Charged Attack (removed from the TCG) in order to trigger Oz’s additional Electro DMG.

[Normal Attack]: Deals a fixed 2 points of Physical DMG.

[Elemental Skill]: Works the same as the open world skill, with Oz dealing continuous passive DMG.

Elemental Burst]: The AoE Burst DMG in the open world has been converted to dealing Piercing DMG to all inactive characters of the opponent in a reasonable way.

⑤   Razor

[Character and Talent Card]: Razor’s Talent Card is also composed of the Electro Wolf possessing him during transformation and his Ascension Passive icon.

On equip of the Talent Card, Razor becomes the active character and immediately uses his Elemental Skill once, also providing 1 point of Elemental Recharge for a friendly Electro character. The change here is interesting because in the open world, his 1st Ascension Passive reduces Elemental Skill CD and resets the Elemental Skill on Elemental Burst use, while in the TCG, the passive Recharge from his Elemental Skill has been integrated into his Talent Card to provide Elemental Recharge for his Electro teammates.

[Normal Attack]: Deals a fixed 2 points of Physical DMG.

[Elemental Skill]: Removed the distinction between Press and Hold effects in the open world. Now deals 3 points of Electro DMG.

[Elemental Burst]: The card effect reflects the open world description of [The Elemental Burst summons the Wolf Within, which deals Electro DMG and strikes alongside Razor’s Normal Attacks], it also extends the synergized attack over to his Elemental Skill, giving players more options during battle.
