Hey, Captains! Today we are going to be taking a look at the 5★ Gauntlet weapon, Final Form: Destiny, introduced in v6.3. Final Form: Destiny is an Physical-DMG Gauntlet-type weapon designed for fighting against IMG-type enemies. In this guide, we will review the weapon’s functionalities and where it excels best at. For the sake of convenience, the following will be abbreviated in this guide:

“Final Form: Destiny” to “FFD”

“Weapon’s Active” to “WA”

“Herrscher of Sentience” to “HoS”

“Starry Impression” to “SI”

“Sweet ‘n’ Spicy” to “SnS”

“Palatinus Equinox” to “PE”

The latest model in the CAS line of armor. Having eschewed a number and instead referring to it as “Final Form”, it’s clear its developer is confident in its capabilities.

“Amid the endless cycle, a seed begins to bud. It is the closing of a long story, and the beginning of a new.”

✦ WEAPON COMPARISON ✦

As a Physical weapon, FFD will be compared against other viable Physical Gauntlets. Since FFD is designed for quick sudden bursts of DMG against the IMG, the tests will also revolve around this idea. Due to the nature of FFD, the tests will showcase team performance against a Nihilus’s Shell and Seed at the same time.

*While these are DMG tests, they don’t account for the SP-regen that both DoS and CD provide.

✦ Team Composition(s)

Since the only viable Physical IMG DPS is PE, she will be the DPS. Since FFD needs a team member to apply Bleed, teammates will be narrowed down to SI and HoS.

✦ Test Results

With a brief look at the raw DMG numbers, there’s a significant jump between MKP and FFD. PE’s Ult clearly dealt the most DMG to the Nihilus Shell when Hos had FFD.

MKP’s Passive effect

However, the best DMG for Nihilus Seeds also appears to be the case with FFD. After HoS ults against the bleeding IMG-enemy test-target, both MKP and FFD should only be (on paper) able to provide 35% Team Physical DMG for PE’s Ult against the IMG-Seed.

So in theory, both DMG numbers against Nihilus Seed for MKP and FFD should’ve been roughly the same. The Raw Numbers show that FFD’s Seed DMG number is much higher than MKP’s. (Go to the next chart).

In this chart, the Relative DMG percentages are respective to their own categories (Shell and Seed). Yellow percentages are only respective to the highest Yellow DMG number, similar to Grey.

This chart shows that the results for both Shell and Seed are the same. Since all conditions were fulfilled (cast WA, bleeding IMG enemy, wielder casts Ult, and dealing DMG within 5s) and are the same during all tests, it goes to show that the 5s of 30% Physical Vulnerability also affects Nihilus Seed. If the debuff only applied to the Nihilus Shell, then the Seed Percentages should have been much higher (thus closer) to FFD’s Seed result.

✦ How to Obtain ✦

FFD is free to obtain in the Alien Planet Armory, an v6.3 event Shop lasting until April 13th, 2023 3:59 AM (server-time).

Participate in the Main Story Chapter 34’s Chaotic Dimension event to earn Dream Shells. After completing Main Story stage 34-15, you can exchange 2000 Dream Shells for this weapon.

Keep in mind that most of the Dream Shells are gated behind an event-only stamina. Don’t wait till the last day to do this event if you want the weapon!

Writer’s Note: Since FFD is similar to Cerulean Flare, another 5★ Weapon that was obtainable via event and later only via gacha, it’s likely FFD will later be only obtainable via gacha as well. (This is only speculative, not confirmed!)

✦ Recommended For ✦

Herrscher of Sentience (HoS)

FFD can be wielded by both Physical Supports HoS and SnS. FFD requires Bleeding and SnS requires Impair for QTE. There lacks a Bleeding IMG-DPS, [SnS with FFD] would want [HoS or Celestial Hymn with a Bleed-Weapon]. However this is not a viable setup.

The best Bleeding Physical Support is currently only Starry Impression, defaulting HoS as the only and best FFD wielder. For rotations, it’s recommended to apply Bleed via SI before casting Ult with HoS. Immediately follow-up with your DPS’s Ultimate (within the next 5s).

Provided below are some teams that you can use FFD on, despite only minute differences:

✦ Closing thoughts ✦

FFD is the new Physical support pair of gauntlets of v6.3! The weapon provides powerful Physical-DMG and 30% Physical Vulnerability bonuses when facing Bleeding IMG enemies! While extremely powerful, its abilities can only be used by a specific team against specific enemies. Since the weapon is F2P (in a v6.3 event), I highly recommend players to at least obtain Final Form: Destiny. For players who have the right team, I highly recommend players to also upgrade this weapon to use!
