2. Look for Anisa
After the quest was completed, Miss Kumi told us that a scholar named Anisa from Sumeru went to the beach in the west where there was hilichurl activity the other day, and she hasn't returned yet. Kumi is a little worried about her safety, so she wants us to check it out because she's not good at fighting.
The hilichurl camp is not far to the northwest, just follow the quest indicators.
As soon as we arrived at the target location, we saw Anisa surrounded by the hilichurls, and then we fought with the hilichurls.
3. Help Anisa
After the fight, Anisa told us that the statues of Watatsumi here were the object of her research, and solving puzzles left by those who came before and seeking the "desires of the heart" were rituals of worship or divination.
Then enter the puzzle-solving part. The puzzle is right next to Anisa, and it will be triggered when you stand on the slate where the pillar of light is located. Just like the common one-stroke mechanism, it requires us to light up all the slates without repeating them.
After solving the puzzle successfully, there will be an exquisite treasure chest, and Anisa's first research also comes to an end. We decide to go back with her to visit Miss Kumi.
Go back to where you started and talk to Kumi.
After the dialogue, the quest is completed. You will be rewarded with: Adventure EXP x 300, Primogem x 40, Hero's Wit x 4, Mora x 30,000, and unlock the hidden achievement [A Mermaid’s Tale].
Summary:
This quest has clear indicators throughout the whole process. Although there are puzzles and fights, it is not complicated overall. It takes about 15 minutes to complete.
