Intro:
"So fight me. How long do you think your body will last against my blows?"
Well, Xiao, that depends on whether we have you on your best potential or not!

What's in this analysis?
1. Comparison between 5 different weapons:
- Primordial Jade (5★)
• Will be assumed the +22.4% attack passive is active, along with the +12% damage.
- Blackcliff Polearm
• Will be assumed the +36% attack passive is active from killing enemies.
- Deathmatch
• Will be assumed the +24% attack passive is active.
- Prototype Starglitter
• ER substat will be disregarded, but I have tested a DPS simulation, and Starglitter still fall behind all the other weapons.
I also tested Skyward Spine on the same method, and Skyward Spine falls behind Primordial Jade and Blackcliff, but is ahead of Deathmatch.
- R5 White Tassel (3★)
Not in this analysis but I have tested:
1. Crescent Pike: Performs less than White Tassel. Not recommended.
2. Vortex Vanquisher: Performs 3-5% less than Jade. Good choice.
2. Comparison between 3 different artifact sets:
- 4-Gladiator.
- 2-Gladiator + 2-Viridescent Venerer.
- 4-Viridescent Venerer.
No, Noblesse does not affect his burst.
Yes, I have tested it.
3. Comparison between "Plunge" gameplay and "Normal attack" gameplay.
Assumptions:
The calculations below will follow the following assumptions:
1. Xiao is lv90.
2. The enemy is one lv80 hilichurl.
3. Talent lv6, C0.
4. It'll be assumed that all of the hits crit.
• The crit goal will be 60%, anything above that will be considered an "overflow".
5. Both of his Passive Talents will not be considered.
6. Simulation will be done in a ~23 seconds field play, where he will do:
Normal attack:
Skill = 4x
Burst = 1x
Normal Attack Sequence (Enhanced by Burst) = 4x
Normal Attack Sequence (No burst) = 1x
Plunge Attack:
Skill = 4x
Burst = 1x
Plunge Attack (Enhanced by Burst) = 10x
Normal Attack Sequence (No burst) = 1x
P.S. You might not be able to do full 10x plunge attack in actual game because you'll have to constantly reposition, and if you're in mobile, his plunge is actually quite a hassle.
Also a little tip: If you're plunge attacking, don't spam the jump button as it will bring him to "Gliding" state.
7. Swirl Simulation:
Since I'll be testing 4-VV, I naturally will have to simulate the artifact at its potential.
So I'll be simulating C0 Xinqiu and C0 Xiangling to burst with Xiao.
Please note that this simulation has other factors to account for, but I will only test individual burst damage.
Xinqiu's burst doesn't proc on plunge, so I will only test him on "Normal attack" gameplay.
I will calculate his burst to proc 15 times during the duration of his ult.
While I'll be testing Xiangling on both Normal attack and Plunge attack.
I will calculate her burst to hit 10 times on Normal attack, and 6 times on Plunge attack.
These numbers will also represent the amount of "Swirl" that will happen.
WARNING: Super long excel ahead. Skip to the bottom if you don't like numbers.

Stat overview:

P.S. I made a mistake on the first version that cause 4-VV to look way under the other sets. But it's fixed now. Thanks to OJ of Steel on Discord that made me notice the mistake.

Swirl Simulation Damage Overview:

Swirl Simulation Result:
P.S. The one that doesn't have Xinqiu is the Plunge attack simulation.

Surprisingly, 4-VV barely catch up in damage with the resistance reduction.
Now, taking the best from each category, and we have:

Conclusion:
1. The best weapon for Xiao from best to worst:
- Primordial Jade, Vortex Vanquisher.
- Blackcliff Polearm (Full stack)
- Deathmatch, Skyward Spine (Refer to "What's in this analysis?").
- Blackcliff Polearm (0 stack)
- White Tassel.
- Prototype Starglitter.
2. The best artifact set:
- Normal attack gameplay: 4-Gladiator.
- Plunge attack gameplay: 2-Gladiator + 2-Viridescent Venerer.
Personal Opinion:
If you ask me, I'd recommend going for 4-Gladiator above the rest. This is for a rather simple reason: Gladiator is more "stable" than the other 2 sets.
4-Gladiator provides great normal attack damage, while being only slightly behind in plunge damage.
Not only that, it's also easier to play with normal attack rather than plunge (Especially for mobile!).
l don't intend to pull him on my main since I want Hu Tao more, but I am pulling for him on my alt!
Best of luck to everyone who's pulling for him! I hope you get cons without pity.

P.S. For those who are scared their pity reset: They won't. I got this Xiao on my soft pity.
