Some time ago, someone sent me an inquiry about the livestream redemption. It struck me that most newbies probably don’t know about this.
This guide is specially made for those who usually have conflicting schedules with livestream time. Worried you might miss the expiration date? Don't have time to watch the livestream? Afraid you might forget to check the date? Worry no more with these simple steps! ୧⍢⃝୨
Quick Redeem:
It doesn’t matter what time you watch the livestream, what matters is if u can redeem the codes on time. Usually 1 hour after livestream time, all the codes should be out. What you need to do, if you don’t have the time to comb through the livestream just yet, is to find a summary post like these:

- takagg on youtube
Bookmark their page / channel for later use in advance (or just subscribe to them for convenience).
Then go to mihoyo’s website: https://genshin.mihoyo.com/en/gift to redeem the codes.
Assuming you’re already logged in, the whole process will take less than 1 minute. It’s all just:
1. copy-paste → click 'redeem'
2. copy-paste → click 'redeem'
3. copy-paste → click 'redeem'
And you’re all set! You can even claim the mail tomorrow when you play the game again, if you don't have the time to log in.
Date Prediction:
You can also approximately guess when the next livestream is going to be. Typically it is 12 days after the last banner of the patch.
The last banner this patch is Itto, which is on the 14 of December (Asia server). Twelve days after that is 24th of December. So just make a little reminder / alarm in your calendar for around this time 🔔
You can also calculate the next livestream the same way.
The following is an approximate calculation on future patches. The patch numbers are just placeholder (guesswork), not an actual schedule. You can use the fanmade example below to practice counting.
General Rule
□ New banner is always on Wednesday.
□ Livestream is always on Friday (1 week before new patch).
□ Patch update is always on Wednesday.
