For people just starting the Lantern Rite, heres a guide for Xiao Lantern Crafting.
Lantern Fiber: Obtained from Plants that you can collect. ( Berries, Sweet Flowers, Violetgrass, )
Fruits actually count, so make sure to collect those.
Wick Material:
Hilichurl-type monsters, and Fatui elites like Cicin Mages and Agent.
By Hilichurl types, Mitachurl and normal ones are those, they will drop.
Plaustrite Shards:
From Ores, ( Ex. Iron, White Iron, Crystal, Magical Crystal Ores )
Or Geovishaps ( not from primo. )
You need 1 of each to craft 1 Xiao Lantern, Xiao Lanterns are used to play Theater Mechanicus, a event which uses 1 Xiao Lantern. ( A Tower Defense game, but you can use characters to knockback, inflict elemental effects for certain elemental reactions. )

Do the " The Origin Of The Lanterns " Quest, where you talk to a certain NPC called Jingming to learn to craft a Xiao Lantern, and also, you get a Freebie Xiao Lantern.
