✦ INTRODUCTION

Shigure Kira [SUGARY STARBURST] is a SP MECH type Ice support.

• She is SP valk, which means she's farmable.
• Her gear has 30 pull guarantee in 6.7

Imagine if everything good about Pardo get bundled into one Ultimate skill. That is exactly what Shigure Kira is!

RANK UP SKILLS

Kira probably has one of the most skill unlock and upgrades of all SP valks. In short, SS-rank is where Kira starts to shine.

HP LOSS MECHANIC

Kira's Charged ATK also deal this extra HP loss damage, which is required to deal with the new black HP bar mechanic.Currently, only the new Twin Wardens boss and Ice Up Husk have this thing.

CECILIA STIGMA

For stigma: Cecilia stigma is a huge improvement - The Ice DMG buff alone is DOUBLE compared to Bastet and Turgenev. However, Cecilia wants full set as max buff (and duration) is locked behind 3pc. So yeah... full set or just use Turgenev.

✦ SKILL OVERVIEW

Kira's playstyle boils down to using QTE, Ultimate and sometimes Charged ATK. Since QTE and Ultimate effects kinda overlap, we'll start with Charged ATK explanation first.

CHARGED ATK

Charged ATK

Kira has a Cheer meter that can be filled with Basic ATK or QTE. You also start the battle with full meter. When meter is full, you can use Charged ATK. Charged ATK makes Kira aim her gun.

• Deal minor Ice DMG,
• Restore 15 sp to Kira, and
• Deal extra HP LOSS damage.

HP LOSS DAMAGE

HP LOSS

Charged ATK deal additional HP LOSS damage (the grey number). This is what makes Kira a must have on two new bosses in v6.7. Basically the new Twin Warden boss and Ice Up Husk will utilize this black HP mechanic, which can only be dealt with Kira's HP loss attack. Or else you waste time.

QTE and ULTIMATE

Next, let's talk about her QTE. When Kira is on standby, teammate's actions will add an Encore stack, which is used to trigger her background QTE.

• If teammate hits an enemy, +1 Encore.
• If teammate use weapon active, +3 Encore.
• If teammate use Ult, +5 Encore.

At 10 Encore, Kira's icon will glow blue. Tap Kira icon and she will perform background QTE attack.

However, if Kira has enough sp and her ult is not on cooldown, Kira's icon will glow yellow. Instead of using QTE, Kira will

switch in and immediately use Ultimate.

ULTIMATE

Kira will passively gain sp on her own. Basically Kira's gameplay is just alternating between these two switch ins, plus some Charged ATK when necessary. The auto-Ult on switch in can be toggled off, but you will not be able to consume Encore stacks and its buffs.

QTE AND ULT BUFFS

So what do QTE and Ultimate do? What are the buffs? Do they freeze?

So these two actions do a lot of stuff. I'll post a summary at the end, but bare with me as I list everything what these two skills do.

1. SHINY SUGARCOATING

So firstly, both Ultimate and QTE trigger SP skill: Shiny Sugarcoating for 15s, which activates the effects shown above. SS-rank has enemy Total DMG taken debuff. So that's a pretty big skill at SS-rank.

2. WEAPON ACTIVE DMG

Secondly, both QTE and Ult deal extra dmg that counts as weapon active dmg. So why is this important?

Because this allows Kira to activate and refresh Sweet Sound effect from her signature weapon without actually using weapon active. (or any effects that are triggered by weapon active)

3. DEBUFF AND SP RECOVERY

Thirdly, both QTE and Ult make enemies take 8% [A] / 12% [SS] more Ice DMG for 15s,and team recover 2 [A] / 3 [SS] sp. Another great upgrade at SS-rank.

4. QTE: FREEZE

QTE deal minor ice damage and inflict a small amount of 6 points of freeze trauma.

5. ULTIMATE: FREEZE AND SP RECOVERY

Now let's talk about Kira's ultimate. Kira's ult costs 125 sp and consume Encore stack for extra dmg, freeze trauma and sp recovery. Ult stops time during aiming. You can fire three powerful shots.

SP RECOVERY:

Each shot recover 7 sp to the team, that is a total of 7x3 = 21 sp, plus another 3 sp from consuming Encore stack = 24 sp

FREEZE:

Ultimate is your main way to freeze enemies. Each shot inflicts 4 Freeze trauma, plus 6 from Encore stack, that's a total of

4x3 + 6 = 18 freeze trauma. Same amount as Pardo's ult.

BUT if you have the signature gun, each shot deal 4+6=10 Freeze trauma instead. That is a total of 10x3 +6 from Encore = 36 Freeze trauma. That's double compared to no signature gun.

You need the gun to freeze bosses with high Freeze charge,like Hephaestus, Huodou and Kalpas.

6. ULT COOLDOWN REDUCTION

So, does Kira have team ult cooldown reduction like Purana? Well, yeah, kind of.

Each shot of Kira's ultimate reduces ult cd of all team members on the field by 1s (3s total) down to 12s minimum.

Since Kira switches in during Ult, this ult cd reduction will usually only apply to Kira herself, and Sushang if Sushang is using Heart Piercer, since she is still on the field during this attack.

7. HP LOSS DEBUFF

Within 15s after using Ultimate, if any ice valk on the team deal hp loss damage, enemies take 16% more Ice DMG for 5s. So this is pretty much made for Herrscher of Human since she's the only ice dps (and Nyx) right now that can deal hp loss damage. Kira herself can deal hp loss dmg with her Charged ATK, but it will only last for 5 seconds.

✦ HOW TO PLAY

NORMAL TEAM SEQUENCE

Team of Sushang, SS-rank Kira and Herrscher of Human (any Ice DPS).

S-rank Kira will not be able to use Ultimate as often. Just use QTE.

1. Playing Kira is simple. At the start of battle, if you have the signature weapon, use weapon active, then use Charged ATK. If you don't have signature gun, just go straight to Charged ATK.
2. Switch to Sushang.Use her usual sequence: Weapon Active > Tap ATK (Back Wind Slash) and maybe some attack to farm sp > Ultimate > Hold ATK (Heart Piercer)

1. Tap Kira icon and she will immediately enter and use Ultimate. Fire all three shots. Ult activates most of Kira's buffs, as I mentioned in the previous ability overview section.
2. You can use Charged ATK before switching out to recover some sp for Kira. Or to damage black HP bar shield, or to just deal some dmg. If you don't need these, you can skip Charged ATK.

Switch to DPS and use the usual DPS sequence. Whenever Kira's qte icon glows, use Kira's background QTE to refresh Shiny Sugarcoating, weapon and Cecilia stigma buffs. Switch back to Sushang and repeat the rotation.

NOTE: So this is obvious but save your Charged ATK for the black HP bar. If you don't have enough ATK stat, you might need two Charged ATK to finish the black HP bar.

TRIPLE SUPPORT TEAM SEQUENCE

Triple support rotation example.

Pardo: Combo > Weapon > Combo > Predation ->

Sushang: Weapon > Backwind + some atk > Ult > Hold ATK (Heart Piercer) ->

Kira: Ult > Charged ATK -> Pardo: Ult > Combo + Predation x 2 -> Repeat

✦ EQUIPMENT

NOTE:

1. Weapon is important for freezing enemies with big Freeze trauma like Hephaestus, Huodou and Kalpas. Also gives team sp and buffs.I recommend getting the gun if you can afford to pull.
2. ATK is also important for Elysian Realm and to destroy black HP bar with one or two Charged ATKs. You can use any PRI-ARM that you have for high ATK.
3. Cecilia stigma is very strong, the buffs are like double compared to Bastet or Turgenev. Hoyo locked a very important skill behind 3pc, which allows you to get max stigma buffs and duration. So yeah, get 3 piece or just use Turgenev or Bastet.
4. Second best options are Turgenev and Bastet.Reminder that Bastet will not work if the enemy cannot be frozen.
