Hello Travelers! After the 4.2 Fontaine update, the second half of November’s Spiral Abyss is now live. The Challenge is not too hard this time, and in this guide, we’ll be focusing on the tactics for Floor 11 and Floor 12. I hope this will help you all~![]()

Blessing of the Abyssal Moon

The Abyssal Blessing this time synergizes very well with characters that utilize HP recovery/consumption mechanics, especially Fontaine characters. Of course, Melee parties with a healer instead of a shielder is also a recommended build.

Abyss Floor 11
The Leyline Disorder on Floor 11 grants 60% Electro and Hydro DMG Bonus to all members in the party.

You most definitely need to bring a character that can reliably apply Hydro Aura on the enemy for the first half of Floor 11. Freeze or Bloom setups are recommended here. For the second half, there’s no fixed party setup, but we recommend bringing characters that can group enemies and going for the Electro/Dendro Catalyze setup. If you have enough DMG, you can pretty much ignore all setup limitations.
11-1

First Half:
In the first Chamber, we are defending the Ley Line Altar’s defense progress. Below is the order and types of enemies that will spawn:
Wave 1: Sternshield Crab*2 + Pyro Whopperflower*2 + Large Pyro Slime*2.
Reinforcements: Sternshield Crab*2 + Pyro Whopperflower*2 (keep the number of enemies present on the field for Wave 1 at six, defeat them one by one and in order).
Most enemies in the first half are Pyro-aligned, so Dendro characters are discouraged in your setup. If you have characters that can vacuum and group enemies, bring them, and Hydro/Cryo characters that have AoE attacks are recommended.
Second Half:
Wave 1: Ruin Scout*1 + Ruin Destroyer*2.
Wave 2: Ruin Grader*1.
Go to the Ruin Scout at the start of combat and Normal Attack it once to draw aggro. The Ruin Destroyer will follow you on its own, then pull them away from the Ley Line Altar. You can down the Ruin Grader normally afterwards.
11-2

First Half:
Wave 1: Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames*2 + Dendro Samachurl*1.
The Dendro Samachurl has very low HP in the first half so prioritize getting rid of it first.
The Abyss Lector is relatively further apart, you can use Kazuha, Venti, or Sucrose to CC and group the enemies, then simply get them down and break their Pyro shields. If you have Neuvillette in the party, you can run to the side of an Abyss Lector and use Charged Attack to attack all three targets simultaneously and break shields easier later on.
Second Half:
Wave 1: Primal Construct: Repulsor*1 + Primal Construct: Reshaper*1 + Primal Construct: Prospector*1.
Wave 2: Eremite Stone Enchanter*1.
For the second half the same strategy applies. Immediately head to the edge of the arena to group the enemies at the start, then take out the enemies.
11-3

First Half:
Wave 1: Veteran Frost Operative*1 + Veteran Wind Operative*1.
The Frost and Wind Operatives in the first half have high Anemo/Cryo RES. Pull and group them then defeat them normally.
Note: The duo deals a lot of DMG, so be sure to dash to avoid incoming DMG. You can wait until they are done with the lunge + triple attack combo to group and defeat them.
Second Half:
Wave 1: Primordial Bathysmal Vishap*2.
There not much to say about the Bathysmal Vishap, you can beat this encounter with any decently built party.

Abyss Floor 12
Difficulty Summary
This is yet another reset with multiple Boss encounters at medium difficulty. All enemies and enemy combination have come up in previous Abyss resets. As long as you have the sustain or proper play, you’ll have no problem getting full stars in this reset again.
Recommended Party Setup
The three Chambers in the first half come in waves of enemy groups. You’ll need a lot of Hydro here, and breaking the Pyro shields is the critical strategy in the first half.
The second half are three Boss fights. You can use any character with high single-target DMG. We’re recommending Electro characters so you can utilize the paralyze mechanic on the Bosses.
- First Half:
① Neuvillette Hydro Team: Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Charlotte
Neuvillette + Furina + Jean + Zhongli
② Hydro Core Team: Kokomi + Furina + Yelan + Kazuha
Kokomi +Furina + Raiden Shogun + Nahida
③ Nilou Bloom: Nilou + Kokomi + Nahida + Dendro Traveler
④ Ayaka Shenhe: Ayaka + Shenhe + Kazuha + Kokomi
⑤ Nahida Xingqiu Kuki: Nahida + Xingqiu + Kuki Shinobu + Yelan
- Second Half:
① Electro/Dendro Catalyze: Cyno + Furina + Nahida + Baizhu
Keqing + Fischl + Nahida + Zhongli
② Quad Element Team: Neuvillette + Nahida + Xiangling + Zhongli
③ Raiden National Team: Raiden Shogun + Xingqiu + Xiangling + Bennett
④ Raiden Kujou: Raiden Shogun + Kujou Sara + Kazuha + Bennett
⑤ Hu Tao Xingqiu: Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Zhongli + Yelan
⑥ Nahida Xingqiu Kuki Fischl: Nahida + Xingqiu + Kuki Shinobu + Fischl
Strategy
12-1

First Half:
Wave 1: Pyro Abyss Mage*1 + Dendro Samachurl*1.
Wave 2: Pyro Abyss Mage*1 + Thundercraven Rifthound*2.
Wave 3: Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames*1 + Large Overgrown Breacher Primus*2.
Recommended Strategy: The first half is relatively easy. Prioritize downing the Dendro Samachurl in the first wave to avoid having Dendro applied to your character; Prioritize Pyro Abyss Mage in the second wave to avoid having Overloaded triggered on you; The third wave has fairly high DMG, so pay attention to your dashes. As long as you have characters that can reliably apply Hydro, you won’t have too much trouble clearing this one.
Second Half:
ASIMON has 1.82m HP and starts combat with 110% All RES. It will immediately release parts and turn invisible, during which it will have 210% All RES.
Recommended Strategy: Trigger Electro/Dendro Catalyze Reaction on its main body to force it out of invisibility and paralyze it for some time. Use this window to DPS. After 10s of paralysis, it will cast some abilities while visible, then turn invisible again.
12-2

First Half:
Wave 1: Recon Log Mek - Pneuma*2 + Nimble Harvester Mek - Pneuma*2
Wave 2: Annihilation Specialist Mek - Ousia*1 + Assault Specialist Mek - Ousia*1
Wave 3: Construction Specialist Mek - Pneuma*1 + Geological Survey Mek - Pneuma*2.
Recommended Strategy: The first half is not hard overall. You can trigger Annihilation on Mek enemies to paralyze them, or you can brute force your way through the old-fashioned way.
Second Half:
Jadeplume Terrorshroom has 1.80m HP and has permanent 80% Dendro RES.
Recommended Strategy: The Jadeplume Terrorshroom is the easiest encounter. Using an Electro character will Activate it, it will perform attacks until it becomes paralyzed, then DPS it down during this window.
12-3

First Half:
Wave 1: Kairagi: Fiery Might*1 + Kairagi: Dancing Thunder*1 + Fatui Skirmisher - Pyroslinger Bracer*2.
Wave 2: Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames*2.
Recommended Strategy: The Kairagis and Fatui in the first wave are relatively spread out. You can use Venti, Kazuha, or Sucrose to help group them up. Note that you need to down both Kairagis at the same time.
For the Abyss Lector in the second wave, simply do the same as you did on Floor 11. Group them up then bring them low and break the Pyro shields.
Second Half:
The final showdown of this Abyss reset – the Icewind Suite: Dirge of Coppelia. They have 2.08m HP and 60% Anemo and Cryo RES. They will enter Climax immediate at the start of combat and gain +25% to All RES.
Recommended Strategy: Using Pneuma-aligned attack is recommended here, and performing it three times will end the Climax immediately and remove the RES buff on the Boss. Parties with good sustain are recommended here. Coppelia deals a ton of DMG, so dash and dodge carefully.
And that’s all for our guide today! I hope this helped and please let me know if you have any corrections and suggestions. I wish you all an easy-breezy Spiral Abyss clear, Travelers~
