Intro

Hi! This time, I'm gonna share my analysis on artifacts and weapons for Rosaria. Rosaria is the brand-new 4-star character in Genshin Impact. It has been a while since we've seen a new 4-star, with Diona and Xinyan being released on 1.1.
Honestly speaking, I totally forgot that she's released today. My boyfriend has been bugging me to work on her for the past few days, and I'm like, but she won't be released soon!

Conclusion (TL;DR)
For the "I'm just here for the conclusion" readers, this is specially made for you:
Best Artifact for Rosaria:

Artifacts for DPS Rosaria:
1. 4-Blizzard Strayer
2. 4-Gladiator's Finale
3. 2-Gladiator + 2-Bloodstained Chivalry
4. 2-Bloodstained + 2-Noblesse Oblige
5. 2-Gladiator + 2-Noblesse
6. 2-Blizzard + 2 Noblesse
Main stat: Attack/Physical/Crit
Artifact for Support Rosaria:
1. 4-Blizzard
2. 2-Blizzard + 2 Noblesse
3. 2-Gladiator + 2-Noblesse
Main stat: Attack/Cryo/Crit
Best Weapon for Rosaria:

Weapon for DPS Rosaria:
1. Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (5★)
2. Staff of Homa (5★)
3. Skyward Spine (5★)
4. Vortex Vanquisher (5★)
5. Crescent Pike (Physical DPS)
6. Blackcliff Pole (Full-stack)
7. Deathmatch
8. White Tassel (3★), Dragonspine Spear (Physical DPS)
9. Blackcliff (Zero stack)
10. Favonius Lance
11. Prototype Starglitter
Weapon for Support Rosaria:
1. Staff of Homa (5★)
2. Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (5★)
3. Vortex Vanquisher (5★)
4. Blackcliff Pole (Full-stack)
5. Deathmatch
6. Skyward Spine (5★)
7. Blackcliff Pole (Zero stack)
8. Favonius Lance
9. Prototype Starglitter
Choosing the Weapon
11 different weapons will be tested for Rosaria:
1. Primordial Jade (5★)
• Will be assumed to be in a full-stack (+22.4% attack), with the +12% bonus DMG active.
2. Vortex Vanquisher (5★)
• Will be assumed to be in full-stack and always active (Shield is always present), giving Rosaria a +40% attack.
3. Staff of Homa (5★)
• Rosaria will be assumed to have +20% HP off artifact substat, and be above 50% HP.
4. Skyward Spine (5★)
• Attack speed bonus is considered. Passive is assumed to proc every 4 seconds.
5. R5 White Tassel (3★)
6. Blackcliff Pole
• Will be assumed to be in a full stack on the calculation. Zero stack results will not be displayed but will be stated.
7. Deathmatch
• +24% attack bonus is active.
8. Dragonspine Spear
• Passive is assumed to proc every 15 seconds, with the enemy affected by Cryo.
9. Crescent Pike
• Passive will be assumed to proc on every hit (7 times on every normal attack sequence).
10. Favonius Lance
• Passive will be considered.
11. Prototype Starglitter
• +8% extra normal attack DMG bonus is always active.
Rosaria can easily keep up the passive of both Crescent and Dragonspine Spear. Her skill can generate energy particle, and the Cryo application still last until her next use of skill.

Main stat assumption
4 different main stat will be tested. For this test, I will not consider artifact sets yet.
1. Attack/ Physical / Crit
2. Attack / Cryo / Crit
3. Attack / Attack / Crit
4. Energy Recharge (ER) / Cryo / Crit
Choosing the Artifact
6 different artifact sets will be tested:
1. 4-Blizzard Strayer
• For this one, I will consider both non-freeze comp (20% Crit Rate) and freeze comp (40% Crit Rate)
2. 4-Gladiator's Finale
3. 2-Gladiator + 2-Noblesse
4. 2-Blizzard + 2 Noblesse
5. 2-Gladiator + 2-Bloodstained Chivalry
6. 2-Bloodstained + 2-Noblesse Oblige
Final Stat
Stat overview without considering artifact sets:

Simulation and assumptions
Disclaimer: I am not a frame expert so the numbers in this section are an approximate amount. I'm also aware that animation canceling is a thing, but unfortunately, my potato phone doesn't support such research.
1. To finish her normal attack sequence, she needs 3.5 seconds. Charged attack will not be considered.

2. Burst DoT happens every 2 seconds, 4 times in 8 seconds.

3. Rosaria is lv90.
4. The enemy is one lv80 Hilichurl.
5. Talent lv8, C0.
6. All hits crit.
7. Crit Rate is targeted to be 60%. Any excess will be converted into Critical Damage.
Artifact Main Stat and Weapon Test
First, I will test the 4 main stats with the 11 weapons. I will be using this table for the burst cooldown calculation:

Damage Overview

Note:
Burst DoT = The Damage overtime of her burst (Every 2 seconds)
Simulation Result

Note:
Normal = 1-hit to 5-hit divided by 3.5 seconds
Skill = Skill divided by 6 seconds
Burst = Burst + Burst DoT divided by Burst CD
Total = Normal + Skill + Burst + Passive
Supp. Total = Skill + Burst
Here you can see that Attack/Physical/Crit has the highest damage output on "Total", compared to the other main sets.
As for "Support Total", Attack/Cryo/Crit takes the lead, beating ER/Cryo/Crit by a small amount.
So we can conclude that Attack/Physical/Crit is the best main stat for DPS build, and Attack/Cryo/Crit is the best main stat for support build.
Results Overview
Now, putting all the results side by side and we have:

"DPS" table is the "Total" from Attack/Physical/Crit.
"Support table is the "Supp. Total" from Attack/Cryo/Crit.
From here, we obtain the result that can be seen in the conclusion. Although, of course, those are assuming they're all in full-stack. Without stack, this is how it will look like:
Best Weapon for DPS Rosaria:
1. Primordial Jade (Full-stack)
2. Staff of Homa
3. Skyward Spine
4. Vortex Vanquisher (Full-stack)
5. Primordial Jade (Zero stack)
6. Crescent Pike
7. Blackcliff Pole (Full-stack)
8. Deathmatch
9. White Tassel (3★)
10. Vortex Vanquisher (Zero stack)
11. Dragonspine Spear (Physical DPS)
12. Blackcliff (Zero stack)
13. Favonius Lance
14. Prototype Starglitter
Best Weapon for Support Rosaria:
1. Primordial Jade (Full-stack)
2. Staff of Homa
3. Vortex Vanquisher (Full-stack)
4. Primordial Jade (Zero stack)
5. Blackcliff Pole (Full-stack)
6. Deathmatch
7. Skyward Spine
8. Vortex Vanquisher (Zero stack)
9. Blackcliff Pole (Zero stack)
10. Favonius Lance
11. Prototype Starglitter
For support build, keeping stack from hits and kills might not be practical. So it's important to keep that in mind.
Surprisingly, Dragonspine Spear does not perform as well as most thought it would be, where White Tassel is capable of out-performing it for DPS build. I also tried to make the Dragonspine's passive proc every 10 seconds instead of 15, and Dragonspine became on-par with White Tassel, but not that much better.
Artifact Set Test
For the artifact test, I decide to exclude Attack/Attack/Crit because there are better alternatives to it. So I'll be testing 3 different main stats with 6 different artifact sets.
Other than that, I will only be testing 7 weapons out of the 11.
I try to keep a representative from each category, Jade for 5★, Blackcliff for F2P weapon, Deathmatch for BP spender, Favonius Lance for ER gameplay, and White Tassel for 3★. I also included both Crescent Pike and Dragonspine spear to directly compare their physical damage potential.
Damage overview

Simulation Result

You can see that the weapon's rank is pretty stable for most of them, with Crescent, Blackcliff, and Deathmatch switching a few times on DPS build.
We can also see that Physical build results in a higher damage output than Cryo for DPS build. But of course, Physical is irrelevant for support build.
Results Overview
Putting all the results side by side, and we have:
4-Blizzard without freeze comp (+20% Critical Rate)

4-Blizzard with freeze comp (+40% Critical Rate)

Since Primordial Jade is the top on all of them, I'm gonna use them for comparison of every set:

Here you can see that on DPS build, 4-Blizzard is ahead of 4-Gladiator with freeze comp, and ~0.6% lower without freeze comp.
But on support build, 4-Blizzard remains on top even without freeze comp.
P.S. Thank you to Oddwan for merging these two tables for me xD
Note:
4-Blizzard 40% = Freeze comp (+40% Critical Rate)
4-Blizzard 20% = Non-freeze comp (+20% Critical Rate)
Personal Opinion
Considering the abysmal difference between 4-Gladiator and non-freeze 4-Blizzard, I'd recommend 4-Blizzard over 4-Glad. Although, of course, playing with 4-Blizzard means you will not build Rosaria with Critical Rate.
Which means, her passive 2 (+15% of her total Critical Rate for the whole party) will be irrelevant. This might not be a problem for DPS Rosaria, but you might want to consider it further for support build.
For her weapon, Crescent seems to be the BiS for DPS Rosaria. With Deathmatch being Deathmatch, a weapon that you can slap on anyone and produce satisfying results.
Although I included White Tassel and Dragonspine Spear in the calculation, I personally won't recommend them for Rosaria, mostly because Crescent is far more superior as a F2P choice.
As for ER weapons, I'd say you know your character better. I've always loved Favonius because it regenerates energy for everyone, but I think ER matters are always personal at the end of the day.
Polls!
Hi! Still here with me? I hope you enjoyed the analysis! And if you're pulling for Rosaria, then I hope the RNG God blesses you and brings her home.

Since you're here, maybe you can help give me your opinion about this analysis?
31 of the voters in my previous Noelle analysis say that the post was better but too detailed.
So I want to ask about the amount of information in this post.
P.S.
I know I said I'll be doing Sucrose, but I've been busy with work it's kinda hard to make time for it. I have done the analysis for Sucrose, but haven't gotten the time to make the piece publishable yet.
