I usually upload these trial videos and this time I decided to spice things up by finally changing the language while I played since everybody is a rerun. Also I thought it would be fun since 3 out of the 5 banner characters are on my team.
But after finding Zhongli still sitting at Third Round and with different dialogue I went on an adventure to find the other characters and find them I did. (especially since Xiangling is right in her kitchen) So I wanted to include them in my video too not realizing everybody knew about them already lol. So that would have been Thursday but then I looked it up and Zhongli has multiple days of cameos and today's happened to be exactly where I had decided to do the trial part of my video. So I just had to bookend my video with it. [emoji]
I really like what MiHoYo did with his cameos in particular. He is still the oldest Archon and MiHoYo's pretty much turned him into a walking history lesson so it's cool to get a few more details on Teyvat's past. Tomorrow's is already listed on the wiki and I already spoiled myself on it. Chi in the books was killed by Morax and supposedly his body made Qingce fertile. This would in part be a call back to a few world creation myths (and Venti actually mentions some of them in the manga) but this cameo does us a service. This is as far as I can remember the first time we get first hand confirmation that the stuff written in the books can be total bs sometimes and that was something I brought up recently about Sumeru right? At the same time it pushes the message further that this game is about the Human Age. Qingce was really made fertile by the hard work of its people.
Now I'm just wondering how many cameos this guy is going to give us. Was Qingce the last? He didn't mention where he'd go this time but it wouldn't be the first time he didn't and we do still have many areas he could visit. (and give us a lore drop) It would make sense to have a full week. It might also make sense to just keep popping up until the update. In fact it might even make more sense to stick around until the update because here's a fun fact for you guys: Did you know Chinese New Year goes for 15 days? On that last day there's another holiday (mini-holiday?) called the Lantern Festival. This year that day is Tuesday, Feb. 15. That's update day!
