It's great that when MiHoYo makes a goof they just roll with it. This little event for Lantern Rite was supposed to net us 3 Intertwined Fates. But now thanks to the goof we essentially get a 4th out of nowhere.
Moves like that are par for the course around here. Every single update we get a 300 gem maintenance reward and then a 300 gem "sorry for taking so long" reward. (even though I can't remember an update that actually took longer than stated)
That makes it also feel sus. If this was any other company I would totally call them out on some publicity stunt. But we know from so many previous incidents that MiHoYo doesn't know how to do that kind of stuff. Thankfully they do know when a goof cannot be taken back. People are perfectly fine with getting more freebies they didn't expect. But nobody is ok with having anything (even if they weren't supposed to get it) taken away.
This psychological concept called Loss Aversion is actually why most other companies are sus for these kinds of moves. Sometimes they don't even try to hide it. For example those "oops the factory messed up and now there's double the chocolate chips in these cookies we made! Get 'em while they last!" [emoji]
Anyway with 80 Fates so far, 3200 primogems in the bank, 1 more day of events for 120 primogems counting the Dailies, 4 total Fates from this event, 600 primogems coming on update day along with 60 from Dailies and finally 4 more days of v2.4 left for a total of 240 primogems that all adds up to 110 gacha pulls going towards Yae Miko at 0 to pity because Qiqi dropped in 28 pulls on Shenhe's banner. So a guarantee at 90 pity with 110 Fates to work with? I'm liking my chances. [emoji]
