In version 5.0, the brand-new event "Of Thorns and Crowns" is officially live! This event features combat gameplay with challenging stages. To claim all the rewards, players need to build their characters to a certain level in order to get enough points. Making good use of the bonuses provided in the stages can help players complete the challenges more effectively. So let's take a look at how to complete the challenges and claim all the rewards together!
Gameplay Introduction
Basic Gameplay
The challenge is divided into two combat modes: "Trial of Thorns" and "Canticle of Crowns."
In "Trial of Thorns" challenge, players are not required to defeat a large number of enemies but rather need to achieve specific trial objectives. By completing the objective through specific mechanics, buffs can be provided for players in the subsequent "Canticle of Crowns" challenge. The better you do in "Trial of Thorns," the more buffs you'll receive. In the "Trial of Thorns" challenge, players will also be provided with certain trial characters to help them better complete the challenge and obtain more buffs.
In "Canticle of Crowns," you must use the special buffs you gained to defeat as many foes as possible within the time limit to earn the highest score you can.

Trial of Bedrock, Song of the Fireflies
"Trial of Thorns"
Trial Objective:
Break the Praetorian Golem's Geo Shield
Team Recommendations:
The trial objective is to break the Praetorian Golem's Geo Shield. The more shields are broken, the stronger the buffs provided. Thus, it is recommended to use Geo characters in this challenge. For example, the trial characters, Navia and Kachina, provided in the stage have very good shield-breaking abilities, and with the addition of Zhongli, the team's ability to resist interruption can be enhanced.
"Canticle of Crowns"
Team Recommendations:
The buffs provided in the stage can increase the team's Dendro DMG and Elemental Mastery, so it is recommended to bring Dendro characters to deal damage. Additionally, using Normal Attacks can deal massive True DMG and reduce the enemy's Dendro RES. Kinich, after using his Elemental Skill, relies on Normal Attacks to move and stack buffs, making him well-suited for this challenge. The bonus of a 300-point Elemental Mastery boost for the entire team also provides considerable benefits for the Bloom System.
Trial of Blossoms, Song of the Chilling Wind
"Trial of Thorns"
Trial Objective:
Trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions
Team Recommendations:
In this stage, the trial objective is to trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions. The more times these reactions are triggered, the stronger the buffs obtained. Therefore, it is necessary to bring Hydro and Dendro characters, including at least one Electro or Pyro character. In addition to the trial characters, Raiden Shogun and Yaoyao provided by the stage, we can also use characters like Xingqiu and Barbara to apply Hydro to enemies. It is recommended to bring a Dendro character in the team; otherwise, the frequency of triggering Bloom reactions may be low.
"Canticle of Crowns"
Team Recommendations:
The buffs provided in this stage, after triggering the Swirl reaction, can help characters in the team regenerate energy and reduce the enemy's DEF. It will also increase the CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG of our Hydro and Cryo characters. Therefore, it is necessary to bring an Anemo character; Kaedehara Kazuha is an excellent choice, and if not available, characters like Sucrose or Venti can be substituted. As for DPS characters, it is recommended to use Hydro and Cryo characters.
Trial of the Wayob, Song of Lightfall
"Trial of Thorns"
Trial Objective:
Break the Wayob Manifestation's Shield or Elemental Shield
Team Recommendations:
The trial objective for this stage is to break the shield or elemental shield of the enemies. The more shields you destroy, the stronger the buffs you will gain. The enemies' shields do not have element types, so you can choose a team that can deal massive damage. Note that the enemies will absorb the energy of the characters in your team when they appear, so it is not recommended to use characters that rely on Elemental Bursts for the challenge. Alternatively, you can unleash all Elemental Bursts at once when the enemy's shield is broken and energy is returned.
"Canticle of Crowns"
Team Recommendations:
The buffs provided in this stage can enhance the damage of Elemental Bursts and provide a shield after they are unleashed. Therefore, it is recommended to use characters who can frequently use Elemental Bursts and rely on them to deal damage. Raiden Shogun can help characters in the team regenerate energy, and her own Elemental Burst damage is considerable, making her a good choice.
Trial of Thunderous Roars, Song of Swift Advances
"Trial of Thorns"
Trial Objective:
Utilize the Thunderous Loops in the challenge and defeat enemies in synergy with your character's rapid movements
Team Recommendations:
The trial objective of this stage is to utilize the Thunderous Loops to defeat enemies; the more enemies defeated, the stronger the buffs obtained. The Thunderous Loops surrounding the character can directly defeat enemies that touch the loops, so you can bring characters that can move quickly. In addition to the trial characters provided in the stage, you can also bring characters like Yelan or Sayu.
"Canticle of Crowns"
Team Recommendations:
The buffs provided in this stage can enhance the damage dealt by Pyro and Geo characters in the team, and each wave will mark a unique enemy. Defeating the unique enemy will eliminate all enemies in that wave and further increase the character damage. Therefore, it is recommended to challenge with a team centered around Pyro and Geo DPS character. The difficulty of this stage is relatively low; just choose a team that can deal massive damage.
Trial of Shattered Fragments, Song of Melting
"Trial of Thorns"
Trial Objective:
Break the Abyss Mage's Elemental Shield
Team Recommendations:
The trial objective for this stage is to break the Abyss Mage's elemental shield. The more shields you destroy, the stronger the buffs you'll receive. Since different elemental types of Abyss Mages or Slimes will appear simultaneously, you can use Anemo characters like Kaedehara Kazuha, Shikanoin Heizou, and Sucrose for their Swirl abilities to quickly break the shields. If you encounter Slimes that are tough to defeat, it's advisable to save Shikanoin Heizou's Elemental Burst for handling them.
"Canticle of Crowns"
Team Recommendations:
The buffs provided by the stage can enhance both DMG and DEF after triggering Vaporize or Melt reactions, and they will also create a Vortex to group enemies together. Therefore, it’s recommended to include both Pyro and Hydro or Cryo characters in your team for the challenge.
Rewards
In the stage challenge, defeating enemies will earn corresponding points. To obtain all the Primogems, players need to obtain 2000 points in each challenge. To get all the rewards, a score of 12,500 points is required.
Completing all the event objectives will reward you with a total of 420 Primogems, 15 Hero's Wit, 200,000 Mora, some Weapon Enhancement Materials and Ascend Materials.
