Teleport to the Teleport Waypoint of Toyac Springs, Natlan.
Enter the newly added cave in version 5.1 from the southern direction of the Teleport Waypoint to reach the challenge area and unlock the new underground Teleport Waypoint.
Mechanics
Core Mechanics
The Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device has two states during the challenge. In its normal state, it gains high All-Type Elemental RES and Physical RES. During this time, players have very limited damage output against it.
After maintaining its normal state for a period, it will enter a special state, generating two Solid Phlogiston columns around itself and placing two cores on top of the columns. Players will need to utilize the special abilities of the members of Children of Echoes to climb the columns and break the cores at the top up close. Once the cores are broken, it will enter a weakened state, providing players with the best opportunity to deal damage.
However, to trigger its special state, players need to wait a while. They can use characters from the Natlan region with the ability to use Nightsoul to make it enter the special state sooner.
Recommended Teams
Mualani + Furina + Xiangling + Kachina
Strategy: First, activate the Elemental Skills and Bursts of Furina, Xiangling, and Kachina in sequence. Then switch to Mualani, using her Elemental Skill to charge at enemies and gain stacks, enhancing Normal Attacks every three stacks. When the boss enters its special state, switch to Kachina and hold the Elemental Skill to ride Turbo Twirly. Climb to the top of the Solid Phlogiston column and break the core to induce its weakened state.
Kinich+Xiangling+Kachina+Bennett
Strategy: Bennett, Xiangling, and Kachina activate their Elemental Skills and Bursts in sequence. Then switch to Kinich, activate the Elemental Burst, and use the Elemental Skill to lock onto the boss. Use Normal Attacks to gain Nightsoul points, and once the limit is reached, unleash enhanced Elemental Skills for damage output. When the boss enters its special state, switch to Kachina and hold the Elemental Skill to ride Turbo Twirly. Climb to the top of the Solid Phlogiston column and break the core to induce its weakened state.
