Note: This post was revised to compile the additional Investigation spots throughout Teyvat that can still be obtained after getting 100+ investigation limit. This post will be updated as soon as a new location is found. Be sure to check, especially when a new map area is released.

"Activate First" Investigation Spots.

A Special Artifact Investigation that requires interactions before the 100th investigation starts. You need to activate the investigation spot first. I suggest doing these locations and collecting them later. The investigation spot will remain and not be removed even if you teleport out.

Note: These investigation spots won't appear if the interaction/activation is done after the 100th investigation limit. Hence the name "Activate First" Investigation Spot.

Firing the three Kamuijima(electro) Cannons, Inazuma.

These cannons are located around Tatarasuna, caution markers, two of which are near the waypoint. A bright glow will appear if the target is hit.

Note: Fire the cannons first before the 100th investigation limit is reached.

Destroying the large vase, Sumeru Desert

By destroying the large vase, an investigation spot will appear.

Touch the Bird Investigation Spot, Natlan

This is also part of the Natlan Unique Artifact Investigation spot indicated below. But this one needs to be touched first until the investigation spot appears. Careful, you might accidentally interact with the investigation when you spam touch.

Marked in a circle is the location of the Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant birds.

"Activate Later" Investigation Spots

These are artifact investigation spots that can still be collected over the 100th investigation limit. It means they can still be obtainable despite the limits and only appear after certain conditions, such as breaking barrels, bubbles, vases, or canisters.

Natlan Unique Artifact Investigation Spot.

During exploration, you might have encountered these Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant birds and Unique Sigils, which are only available in the Natlan Region.

Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant

During v5.0, you might encounter these Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant during explorations. A flower-like bird with its head buried in the ground. Once they are touched, an investigation point will appear containing 1-2 artifacts, and sometimes ores, crystal flies, and fruit or vegetables will appear.

Also, during v5.2, you may have encountered these Unique Sigils near the Masters of the Night-Wind. Indwelling an Iktomisaurus and scanning(Spiritspeaker state), the Sigils have different effects. Either a full recovery of HP, energy, or phlogiston, and sometimes artifacts.

I have marked all current known and confirmed to have artifacts within them.

v5.0 Artifact Investigation spots, Stadium, Canopy & Echoes area.

In v5.0, there are 7 Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasants. If touched, an investigation point will appear. It turns out that they are immune to attacks if they haven't been touched.

Steps to reach the spot.

1 - Teleport to the nearest waypoint, and the first spot is just below the Yumkasaurus.

2 - From the Scions of the Canopy camp glide down. Immune to attacks, so plunge away.

3 - Near the waypoint guarded by a baby Yumkasaurus. After touching the Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant, a Coilgrass sigil will also appear that leads to the above plateau.

4 - Located above. From the previous spot, grapple to reach above and into the next. Caution: You might fall if you use the Yumkasaurus ineffectively. But if you have Kinich, the better.

5 - 6 Jump to the next plateau from the previous location.

7 - Glide down or use the nearest waypoint to reach the next spot near the falls.

v5.2 Artifact Investigation Spot, Masters of the Night-Wind area.

In 5.2 there are 1 Thick-Feathered Ruffed Pheasant and 8 unique sigils near the Masters of the Night-Wind camp and 5 in Ochkanatlan areas that have artifacts once interacted. Indwell an Iktomisaurus to scan the sigil or use Ororon charge attack.

Steps to reach the spot.

1 - From the nearest waypoint, move to the east side of the mountain and indwell a Qucusaurus to enter the phlogiston wind tunnel to reach the top of the plateau.

2 - 4 From the topmost waypoint of the Masters of the Night-Wind camp indwell an Iktomisaurus and glides down below the cliff. There are three sigils on the spot to scan. Just above the tribal enemy camp on the ground.

5 - Continue gliding to the next spot east of the Master of the Night-Wind.

6 - Continue to the next spot with flags.

7 - Next spot on top of the broken cart with Iktomisaurus nearby.

Note: You can use other materials that have phlogiston within, such as ember core and candlecap mushrooms, to boost your jumping ability of Iktomisaurus.

8 - Use the boost and wind current(graffiti) to reach the next spot near the ember core.

9 - Scan the ember core to boost your jump to the next spot.

v5.2 Artifact Investigation Point, Ochkanatlan area

Steps to reach the area.

1 - From the west side waypoint of Ochkanatlan, glide down going north until you reach the broken bridge with an Iktomisaurus indwell nearby.

2 - 1 and 2 are nearby, just the elevation difference. Glide to the side to reach it.

3 - Near the waypoint (you need to complete the puzzle below or just fly/glide your way to the spot to unlock).

4 - Glide down below the broken tower.

5 - Located on the tip of the rock.

Popping the Water Bubbles, Apam Woods

Note: Using Varuna Contraption, switch to Rainy to drain the water in Apam Woods.

I included the Mora Bubbles as we move from point to point in Apam Woods.

From the waypoint glide down to the lowest level. Pop all the water bubbles you can find.

Breaking the Wood Barrels, Underground Chasm

Upon breaking the wooden barrels, a vase will appear. Break it again, and an investigation with an artifact will appear.

Breaking the Canisters, New Fontaine Research Institute

Like the underground chasm, breaking the canister/vases will reveal the investigation with an artifact. Two new spots containing 1-2 1star artifacts and some Mora.
