Fun fact:
They set it in ancient Greek and called it Era Nova which is NOT Latin nor ancient Greek but it's Volgare. The language bridge to Latin and Italian, spoken during the Middle age from upper and low classes who had no knowledge of Latin, was spoken by church men and kings/warlords sometimes.
new era:
Neos Evo in Greek
Fuit Novum in Latin
Era nova in Volgare
Mihoyo may have chosen a language completely unrelated because it sounds poetic. However, I found Neos evo more intriguing, which makes you breathe a mix of futuristic vibes and ancient culture, as Starail it is in most cases. would have been better with Neos Evo instead of Nova Era, as Italian MYSELF "Nova Era" sounds silly and out of place for me because there is 2'000-3'000 years difference between the Greek gold era and the Middle age when even the Greek language was changing (ancient to modern).
