► Elemental Skill: Skyward Sonnet
O wind upon which all hymns and songs fly, bear these earth-walkers up into the sky!
- Press
Summons a Wind Domain at the opponent's location, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and launching opponents into the air.
- Hold
Summons an even larger Wind Domain with Venti as the epicenter, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and launching affected opponents into the air.
After unleashing the Hold version of this ability, Venti rides the wind into the air.
Opponents hit by Skyward Sonnet will fall to the ground slowly.
Skill DMG: 173.26%.
Cooldown: 16 s.
Particle generation: 3 Anemo particles when pressed, 4 if held.
► Elemental Burst: Wind's Grand Ode
Fires off an arrow made of countless coalesced winds, creating a huge Stormeye that sucks in opponents and deals continuous Anemo DMG.
- Elemental Absorption
If the Stormeye comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.
Skill DMG: 433.92% ×3.
Cooldown: 15 s.
Energy Cost: 60.
Note: It deals 20 instances of Anemo DMG within 8 s. The element absorbed deals 50% of damage.
► Passive Talent (A0): Windrider
Decreases gliding Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.
► Passive Talent (A1): Embrace of Winds
Holding Skyward Sonnet creates an upcurrent that lasts for 20s.
► Passive Talent (A4): Stormeye
Regenerates 15 Energy for Venti after the effects of Wind's Grand Ode end.
If an Elemental Absorption occurred, this also restores 15 Energy to all characters of that corresponding element in the party.
Talents priority: Venti has two playstyles: one focused on elemental reactions (centered around his character level and Elemental Mastery), and another focused on Anemo Damage (prioritizing ATK, CRIT, and Anemo DMG stats). For his first and most recommended playstyle, Venti doesn’t need to level up any of his talents—only his character level. However, it’s still recommended to level up his Elemental Burst to add a bit of personal damage. His Elemental Skill can also be leveled, though it has a much smaller impact in combat. Lastly, his Normal Attacks aren’t used and can be left unleveled.
Constellations
► C1: Splitting Gales
Fires 2 additional arrows per Aimed Shot, each dealing 33% of the original arrow's DMG.
► C2: Breeze of Reminiscence

Opponents launched by Skyward Sonnet suffer an additional 12% Anemo RES and Physical RES decrease while airborne.
► C3: Ode to Thousand Winds

► C4: Hurricane of Freedom

► C6: Storm of Defiance
Targets who take DMG from Wind's Grand Ode have their Anemo RES decreased by 20%.
If an Elemental Absorption occurred, then their RES towards the corresponding Element is also decreased by 20%.

Builds
Weapons

Although the level of his Elemental Burst isn’t particularly important, being able to use it every rotation is. That’s why the key stats to prioritize are: ER > EM, along with Support abilities.
For his Anemo DMG playstyle, the priority shifts to: (ER) > CRIT > Anemo DMG > ATK.

Teams and Rotations
General recommendations

Following his Elemental Reaction-focused playstyle, Venti can be paired with any PHEC character, especially those with low cooldown abilities. It’s important to ensure that his Burst absorbs the right element to get the most value out of it.
On the other hand, for his Anemo DMG playstyle, it’s best to pair him with Faruzan and another Anemo DPS like Xiao or Wanderer. The 4th slot is flexible and will largely depend on the specific scenario. Generally, this playstyle is not recommended without his higher Constellations.
Synergy
Thanks to Venti’s powerful crowd control, it’s possible to significantly boost the damage of certain characters like Ayato, Ganyu, and Tartaglia.
All PHEC characters have good synergy with Venti, especially those with shorter cooldowns. His synergy with other Anemo characters depends on his chosen playstyle, as running him in Mono Anemo teams is generally not recommended.
Finally, Venti has little to no synergy with Geo and Dendro units, although he can still have a collateral impact in certain setups—such as Quicken teams.

Morgana 15 ❖ Ganyu - Mona - Venti - Rosaria

Mono Hydro ❖ Ayato - Venti - Xilonen - Furina

Quicken ❖ Raiden - Venti - Kuki - Nahida

Vaporize ❖ Arlecchino - Bennett - Yelan - Venti

Final assessment
Positives:
- Fully self-sufficient at C0
- Excellent crowd control, ideal for multi-target scenarios with standard enemies
- Strong elemental application
- Useful for exploring high or hard-to-reach areas
- Potential user of the Viridescent Venerer set
- Reduces energy needs for other characters
- Requires minimal on-field time
Negatives:
- Limited to multi-target situations with groupable enemies
- His damage is no longer as competitive as it once was
- Burst has a short duration and can be tricky to aim effectively
So, is Venti worth it?
Overall, the answer is no. Venti is an off-field DPS designed for multitarget scenarios, and being a 1.0 character, it’s expected that he’s no longer competitive in version 5.5. There are many other Anemo supports that offer better overall value.
That said, in pure multi-target scenarios, Venti still shines as an excellent unit for grouping enemies and applying elemental damage—especially in Frozen, Electro-Charged, and Quicken teams.
In any case, we recommend saving your primogems for more universally useful support units.
