In this post, we'll be focusing on the pull recommendations for Cipher~
Cipher's Role and Strength
Cipher is a Quantum Nihility Sub-DPS/Support.
● Full-Time Team-Wide Vulnerability: Cipher's Bonus Ability enables her to apply high vulnerability to all enemies as long as she's on the field. Works in nearly any comp.
● Frequent Follow-up Attack: Cipher can mark enemies as [Patron]. When allies attack a [Patron], Cipher performs a Follow-up Attack 1 time per turn.
● True DMG: Cipher accumulates team DMG and converts it into True DMG via her Ultimate.
● Self Buffs: Through her Bonus Ability and Skill, Cipher gains CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG and ATK boosts.
● Enemy DMG Reduction: Cipher's Skill debuffs enemies, lowering their DMG.
● Excellent Exploration Utility: Cipher's Technique grants invisibility and movement speed boost. She can also collect consumables when near enemies, great for map exploration.
Cipher offers team-wide vulnerability, Follow-up Attacks, True DMG conversion, multiple self-buffs, and excellent exploration tools. She's highly versatile.
Ability Features
1. Persistent Vulnerability Debuff. With the Bonus Ability [Sleight of Sky], Cipher increases DMG taken by all enemies by 40% as long as she is on the field.
2. True DMG Conversion
① Talent: Cipher marks an enemy as a [Patron] and records a portion of all non-True DMG dealt by allies to that [Patron].
② Ultimate: After dealing Quantum DMG to a single target, Cipher deals 25% of the recorded value as True DMG to that enemy, then deals Quantum DMG and 75% of the recorded value as True DMG to that enemy and its adjacent targets.
3. Follow-Up Attack
When no [Patron] exists, Cipher automatically marks the enemy with the highest Max HP as [Patron]. Casting Skill or Ultimate marks the target as the new [Patron]. When allies attack a [Patron], Cipher performs a Follow-up Attack (1 time per turn). This resets at the start of her turn.
4. Skill. Cipher's Skill reduces the DMG dealt by a single target and adjacent enemies, boosts her own ATK, and deals Blast DMG.
5. Bonus Ability Bonus & Technique Bonus
① CRIT Rate Buff: With the Bonus Ability [Empyrean Strides], Cipher gains +25%/+50% CRIT Rate when her SPD reaches ≥140/170.
② CRIT DMG Buff: With Bonus Ability [Sleight of Sky], Cipher's Follow-up Attacks gain +100% CRIT DMG.
③ True DMG Scaling: With Bonus Ability [Empyrean Strides] and [300 Rogues], the value of recorded DMG increases. During Technique activation, Cipher deals Quantum DMG to all enemies and gains extra recorded DMG from that instance.
④ Invisibility + SPD Boost, & Consumables: Cipher becomes invisible and gains increased movement speed. Approaching enemies in the overworld/Simulated Universe/Divergent Universe may grant random consumables.
Usage Scenarios
● Acheron Team: As a Nihility unit, Cipher fits perfectly into Acheron comps. Her vulnerability debuff synergizes well with Acheron's kit and boosts total team DMG.
● Feixiao Team: Cipher's high SPD and frequent Follow-up Attacks allow her to rapidly trigger Feixiao's Ultimate. She enhances both Feixiao's and the team's overall output.
● Other Comps: Cipher's True DMG conversion and constant vulnerability debuff (a rare multiplier that isn't easily diluted) make her compatible with all current DMG types. Her Skill also lowers enemy DMG. Extremely versatile.
Pull Recommendations
● Should You Pull for Cipher?
Cipher is a limited 5-star Support who offers a rare vulnerability multiplier and excellent flexibility. Her Follow-up Attack and True DMG mechanics also give her notable personal DPS potential. Her Technique grants stealth, movement speed, and consumables—making exploration much easier, especially for new players. If you're lacking Support, want to boost team DMG, or are new to the game, Cipher is a highly recommended pull.
Cipher has strong synergy with Acheron and Feixiao, so if you main either, pulling her is a great investment.
● Eidolon Priority
Cipher's core Eidolons are E1, E2, E6. E1 enhances the True DMG dealt by her Ultimate and grants an ATK boost after each Follow-up Attack. E2 gives her a chance to inflict vulnerability on enemies upon hitting them. E6 greatly boosts both her Follow-up Attack DMG and the True DMG dealt by her Ultimate. Players with a bit more resources can consider pulling her E2. Heavy spenders or Cipher mains can go for E6.
● Should I pull the signature Light Cone? Cipher's signature Light Cone provides a valuable SPD stat that eases the pressure on Relics stats. It also applies a powerful DEF reduction to enemies on hit, further enhancing Cipher's Support role. Players with resources are recommended to pull for it.
● Pull Priority: Signature Light Cone > E1.
