So before I start, I don't know how unpopular/controversial these are, so forgive me in advance
So, Genshin Impact. A popular game on here that thousands (including myself) play. I'm here to talk about the age rating, which is 12+
In my opinion, it should actually not be that. On the surface it can seem kid friendly, if you've seen like a trailer, videos the YouTube channel's posted, etc.
The game has a TON of fanservice, which is, of course, not kid friendly. Especially with the certain movements most call "jiggle physics." Now you could say I'm s*xualising the game, but tons of people do that in the first place.
One of the biggest cases for triggering s*xualization is Varesa. (I am aware things regarding her have already been covered before.) You see, the problem with her is that people talk about her fanservice a lot, and she has WAY too much of it. As for what started this strange behavior (as in s*xualising her) I don't know.
Now you might be asking, "Esmeralda, how does this exactly connect to the topic?" I was stating an example of the things that can prove this game is not for kids.
"But that's mainly the community's fault, not the developers!"
Yes, I am aware of that too. The devs (miHoYo) have little to no control of what the community can think. But there still could be a reason for this behavior, and I can't change people's opinions at all, especially since I'm only one person.
In my opinion, the age rating for Genshin should be for more mature audiences. (it doesn't have to be 18+ exactly though, just make the game for teenagers at least)
