[5.8] Bennett - COMPLETE GUIDE

Introduction

General information

Bennett is a small-sized male character from Mondstadt (born in Natlan), with Pyro as his element, and a Sword as his weapon.

At Lv.90, his base stats are 12397 HP, 191.16 ATK, and 771.25 DEF.

His special Ascension stat is ER%, which increases by 26.6% at the 6th Ascension.

Ascension and Talent materials

  • Agnidus Agate jewels
  • Windwheel Aster
  • Everflame Seed (dropped by Pyro Regisvines)
  • Treasure Hoarder Insignia, Silver Raven Insignia, and Golden Raven Insignia (dropped by Treasure Hoarders)
  • Resistance Talent Books (avaliable on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday)
  • Dvalin's Plume (Stormterror Challenge Reward)

Talents

TL;DR

Bennett’s kit shines thanks to his Elemental Burst, which creates a field that heals the active character (based on his Max HP), infuses them with Pyro, and grants a strong ATK Bonus (based on Bennett’s Base ATK — which depends on his character level and weapon Base ATK).

How to use

Bennett’s Burst lasts 12s, which is generally enough for the DPS to unleash their full combo. As a result, Bennett is usually placed right before the main DPS during a rotation.

His Elemental Skill has a short cooldown (5s), making him a reliable Pyro battery — it’s common to use it more than once per rotation.

Example: Other supports → Bennett EQ → DPS unit → (Bennett E again).

Talent Priority

Bennett’s Elemental Burst is by far his most important talent, but its effectiveness depends on his Base ATK, which can only be increased by leveling up the character or using a high Base ATK weapon.

His Elemental Skill adds some damage and generates particles, so it’s optional to level it up. His Normal Attacks can be left untouched.

Builds

Weapons

Bennett’s stat priority is: (Energy Recharge) > Weapon Base ATK > CRIT > Pyro DMG > Burst DMG > ATK > HP.

Since Bennett provides massive healing per second when the active character is below 70% HP, you don’t need to invest in HP or Healing Bonus, as most of it would just overheal.

Equipping characters on standby can still trigger this effect.

Teams and Rotations

General recommendations

The only real limitation to using Bennett is that his ATK buff only benefits teams that scale with ATK. This excludes reaction-focused teams like Hyperbloom, Quickbloom, Bloom, or Electro-Charged.

In nearly every other team, Bennett is an outstanding QoL and ATK support.

Synergy

Bennett has excellent synergy with all DPS that scale with ATK, especially Pyro units, since he can also battery them and enable Pyro Resonance.

  • Pyro DPS: Mavuika, Arlecchino, Yoimiya, Lyney, Klee, Xiangling, Gaming, Yanfei
  • Other DPS: Ayato, Tartaglia, Clorinde, Keqing, Raiden, Varesa, Eula, Freminet, Ganyu, Ayaka, Wriothesley, Chasca, Wanderer, Xiao, Itto, Navia, Ningguang, Kinich

Mavuika - Citlali - Bennett - Xilonen

Arlecchino - Bennett - Yelan - Xilonen

Gaming - Citlali - Bennett - Xianyun

Chasca - Citlali - Bennett - Furina

Kinich - Xiangling - Bennett - Emilie

Varesa - Xiangling - Bennett - Chevreuse

Raiden - Xingqiu - Bennett - Xiangling

Wriothesley - Xiangling - Bennett - Xilonen

Navia - Bennett - Furina - Xilonen

Final assessment

Positives:

  • Top-tier ATK Buffer: One of the best universal ATK buffers in the game thanks to his Elemental Burst.
  • Strong healing: Provides consistent healing over time, easily sustaining most teams.
  • Fast Pyro particle generation: His low cooldown Elemental Skill helps battery Pyro units.
  • Flexible team fit: Fits in nearly any ATK-based team, regardless of element.
  • Low investment needed: Works extremely well even at low investment (C1, 4★ weapon, talents 6+).
  • Scales with Base ATK only: You can focus on ER and utility, without needing CRIT or EM stats.
  • Enables Pyro Resonance: Boosts team ATK further when paired with another Pyro character.

Negatives:

  • Buff is ATK only: Doesn’t benefit teams that scale with EM or HP.
  • Overhealing potential: His healing can easily overheal.
  • Weapon-dependent scaling: Requires a high Base ATK weapon to maximize his buff potential.
  • Can interfere with reactions: The Pyro infusion from his Burst at C6 can overwrite elements needed for other reactions.

So, is Bennett worth it?

Yes. No further discussion needed.

A Genshin account without Bennett is not a real account.
