This recent event made me think about another real world parallel. I don't know how many of you guys love reading manga but if you dive deep enough into otaku territory you end up reading some meta mangas about mangaka.
I think it's already well known how harsh the working environment is in Japan. They have a very big problem that's affected many people's daily lives. And that same issue extends to the mangaka.

The picture above is a schedule for a mangaka at Shonen Jump one of the most popular weekly manga publications. The little blocks in gray are for sleep. The 3 blocks of white on Saturday is the only free time each week. Everything else is some kind of work. And the red blocks are all the times the mangaka is so swamped with work they need assistants to be working with them. And that's because this is Shonen Jump and these guys can afford assistants who have it even worse.
It's no wonder Asagiri fell ill! Come on Yae! What about guiding humanity? ![]()
Speaking of which the event itself is also a part of the real job of being a mangaka. You know all the backgrounds in the panels of your favorite manga? Unless it's totally fantasy or sci-fi chances are they are based on real places that the mangaka went to and took copious amounts of pictures to work off of.

So this is why Asagiri needs her Kamera and since it broke she needed to quickly find someone to help her take the pictures she requires.
I wonder if this event will lead into tomorrow's event. After all a major part will be Xingqiu's book signing and that could use plenty of Liyue art which has been the majority of places we needed to take pictures of. Guess we'll find out tomorrow!
