(Wanderer x M!Reader)
"Achoo!"
The cold at Dragonspine brought you shivers. Even with numerous layers of thick clothes, the piercing wind managed to reach the bone. Ahead lay a dense, white haze, with only one figure wearing a huge hat.
"You can't stand the cold, yet you're venturing out alone," the person said, without even turning around.
"I… I'm fine…" you replied, trembling legs pushing you to sprint faster. Nonetheless, you almost fell and injured your nose.
Fortunately, the person in front of you stretched out and caught you as quickly as a blast of wind.
"T-Thank you, Wanderer…" you said.
"Go home," Wanderer said coldly. "If you get lost again, I'll just let you be buried under the snow."
You grabbed your scarf and brought it up to your face. You didn't want him to see you in such a miserable state.
"I didn't call you to rescue me, did I?"
You merely said it to mask your joy at Wanderer's arrival in the midst of this snowstorm. Wanderer just snorted and yelled back, "Don't slow me down!"
Despite continuously grumbling about being delayed down by you, Wanderer had waited for you ahead. You knew Wanderer was acting tough, but in truth, he was easily moved. Otherwise, he would have left you alone in the snow as soon as he landed in Dragonspine.
Both of you came here for a new research project at the Akademiya. You were assigned to work with Wanderer, but disputes turned into an argument. Then you left first and got lost in this snowstorm. Wanderer had no trouble tracking you down. At the Akademiya, he was was an outstanding figure, but not not a pleasant person to be around. No one wanted to befriend someone who could point out countless inconsistencies in their proud research and make them feel utterly stupid. But perhaps, you were an exception, the only one who could tolerate that kind of personality.
It would not be fully truthful to say you two were friends. You had just happened to be researching several of the same objectives as Wanderer. And there were numerous moments when you had fought danger together. You weren't sure if it was enough to call Wanderer a friend, but you did regard him as a dependable companion. He wouldn't leave you here alone, no matter how sharp-tongued he was.
Wanderer soon sought a shelter and lit a fire, which served as proof for being reliable.
"How long are you going to stand there?" he said to you. "Come here and dry yourself off first. I am unwilling to carry your frozen corpse back to the Akademiya."
Your cold feet were eventually pulled to the fire. Wanderer had taken out some food and a new coat from his luggage. He threw the coat at you.
"For me?" you asked. Just then, your outer coat was soaked with snow.
Wanderer did not reply. You gladly took the incredibly warm coat, which also emitted a unique scent, one that belonged only to Wanderer. This made you slightly embarrassed, but quickly changed into the new coat to stop the cold. Wanderer's body was not human, hence he was resistant to Dragonspine's Sheer Cold. You discovered this by coincidence during an adventure with him. Thinking back, you had crossed many different lands together, experiencing all kinds of weather. Each time, it was Wanderer who prepared extra supplies for you. You cast a discreet peek at him from your corner. He plainly stated that he did not enjoy traveling with you, but everything, from this coat to the food supply, was something he had planned for you.
By the firelight, you got even closer to Wanderer. Words would be useless; actions alone spoke louder. You always enjoyed traveling with Wanderer, and Wanderer had grown accustomed to your presence; whether in the verdant Akademiya, at the depths of the ocean, or in this place where snow never ceased to fall…
Perhaps the bond between you and Wanderer couldn't be considered friendship, but rather a deep kindred spirit.

(Nahida x M!Reader)
"It's snowing!"
Nahida looked up at the sky, thrilled to see the pristine white snowflakes fall. A few of those touched her small, outstretched hands. Chilly.
"It's like the heaven is whispering its secrets to all things."
Sitting beside Nahida, you paid no attention to the snow, only to her smile. It was Nahida's first time outside Sumeru, her first time witnessing snow.
"Be careful, it's cold." You paused, holding the coat in your hand, half wanting to present it to her, half holding back. The atmosphere was uneasy.
"I'm fine," Nahida responded. "I'm just thrilled to see the snowfall. Thank you for allowing me to accompany you on this adventure!"
Previously, Nahida had been caught in an unending dream. Her soul may have traveled far and wide, learning about the world. But her body remained confined to a closed room. That was why you offered to take her around Teyvat, so she could experience it with her own senses, not just through the eyes of others.
On the snow-covered path, your large footprints followed Nahida's smaller ones. The night grew colder as you noticed her small shoulders seemed to tremble. Without any thought, you hastily placed your coat over her shoulders.
"Thank you…" Nahida responded, her nose slightly pink.
"It is getting late. Shouldn't we go back to rest? We need to depart early tomorrow."
Nahida looked up at you, pondering. Then she bolted ahead. She turned back and said:
"How could I miss out on such beautiful snow like this!"
Her laughter faded into the trees ahead. You hurried after her.
"Wait, Nahida!"
Entering the forest, you chased Nahida to a clearing where the snow was thick enough to form a white blanket. Nahida's hair was completely coated in snow, but despite the cold, she leaned down and rolled it into a little ball.
"I've wanted to play this for a long time."
As soon as she finished speaking, the snowball flew directly toward you. You didn't dodge, allowing it to hit your shoulder and shatter into a million small snowflakes.
"Seems like you've just declared war on me, Nahida."
And so your little game started, culminating with you pretending to collapse to the ground after Nahida's snowball struck you in the chest.
"Ouch!"
Nahida rushed towards you, calling your name and shaking your back.
"Did I throw it too hard? Are you okay? Hey?…"
You couldn't help but chuckle as you turned and tossed the snow in your palm into the air, just above Nahida's head, leaving her utterly bewildered.
Nahida stared up at the snow, then her gaze returned to you.
"Sneaky, aren't you?"
She softly smacked your chest before laughing and rolling into the area next to you. You both giggled as you watched the snow fall on you for quite some time. Two little angels had formed on the snow, one big and one small, together. A moment later, Nahida sat up and pulled your coat tighter around her, letting it embrace her body, which was trembling from the cold.
You sat up beside Nahida, gently taking her gloved hand and breathing your warmth into it.
"And yet you still don't want to go back," quietly you said.
Nahida smiled as her hands were held in yours. She inclined her head slightly, and the small cloud of smoke from her breath merged with yours.
"If only I could… I would want this moment to last longer… So I could stay here with you a little more…"

Somehow you were stuck outside your rented house with the mysterious landlord.
You had only recently moved to Snezhnaya. The place was fairly old, supposedly once belonging to a noble family. Aside from you, there were a few other people renting rooms here for the holidays, but it seemed they had all gone out to enjoy the winter festivities in this icy kingdom. And when you hurried to buy some pastries, you happened to have left your front door key inside.
As you were fumbling around attempting to find your way inside, I noticed someone approaching. It was a man with long, dark blue hair holding a lamp that emitted an unusual blue flame. You wondered who still used such a lamp nowadays. His attire appeared to be from a bygone age. Suddenly, you realized that the other tenants had mentioned the owner to you. They said he was eccentric, rarely showed himself, and dressed like he was straight out of a period drama.
Anyway, it was none of your business to judge other people's tastes. Besides, even though you had been here for a week, you never had a chance to officially meet the owner. You warmly extended your hand and said:
"Hello! You must be Flins, right?"
He looked at you for a moment. Then, unexpectedly, he placed a hand on his chest and bowed down in front of you.
"Hello, miss. I am Flins, the one you mentioned. It is such an honor to meet you."
"Oh…" You were slightly taken aback and withdrew your hand. This greeting was far more formal than you had imagined. "Ah… Yes… Pleasure to meet you…"
"May I presume you are one of the esteemed guests who have rented a room here?" Flins asked.
"I am…" You nodded.
"Please forgive me for not being able to welcome you thoroughly," Flins said again. "My schedule is... not ideal for hosting parties. But I trust you do enjoy the festival?"
You nodded again. Then, you suddenly remembered something crucial.
"Oh, by the way, Flins… You have the key to open this door, right?"
Flins's eyes widened. You had to explain further: "Well, I might have gone out without my key… And my phone just ran out of battery so… It would be great if you had a key."
"I'm afraid I must let you down. I do not carry any key with me."
It was your turn to widen your eyes at Flins. He replied nonchalantly, "A key is not required for me to enter this place."
While you were wondering what he meant by that, you caught the blue flame flash in his hand. Surely the owner of this place wouldn't need to carry a key around, you thought.
"How about your phone?"
Flins shook his head. "Phone? I do not own one."
You were startled to learn that even in this day and age, some people did not use smartphones. However, you said nothing and simply sat down on the stairs, toying with the snow to pass the time. Flins initially observed you, but he became increasingly interested in what you were doing.
"Could you tell me what you're doing, miss?" he asked.
"I'm making a snowman, of course!" you replied. "While we wait for someone to come home and open the door for us, you could give me a hand, if you'd like."
Flins agreed. It was then that you realized he had never built a snowman before. However, with your attentive guidance, a tall, impressive snowman quickly developed in the front yard.
Just as you finished, it began to snow. You drew Flins back onto the porch and sat, admiring the snowman you had built together. A strange kind of happiness grew. You had come here to forget all the worries and stress from your previous place, so these moments of putting aside the phone, leaving the bustling world outside behind, and immersing yourself in the white snow became so precious.
That was when you noticed your box of cupcakes on the porch. Those tiny, frost-themed cupcakes looked so delicious as you took them out. You handed one to Flins.
"Here you go. Thanks for helping me build the snowman!"
Flins took the cupcake. He picked up the snowflakes decorating it and examined them with a mixture of surprise and delight that was hard to hide. You smiled. It seemed that you needed to take this mysterious landlord out more frequently.
