Zibai is a 5-star Geo Sword character who specialises in sustained on-field DPS through reaction-driven Normal Attacks and DEF-scaling mechanics. Her kit revolves around Lunar Phase Shift, a special stance that converts her attacks into Geo DMG and enables the Lunar-Crystallize reaction, allowing her to deal higher reaction damage.
Zibai’s playstyle is defined by maintaining her special mode uptime and repeatedly triggering Lunar-Crystallize through coordinated Hydro and Geo application.
Unlike traditional Geo DPS characters, Zibai is heavily reaction-oriented, relying on Hydro teammates to convert standard Crystallize into Lunar-Crystallize and unlock the bulk of her damage potential. She performs best in teams that provide consistent Hydro application, Geo resonance, and off-field support.

Lunar-Crystallize teams focus on converting standard Hydro Crystallize into Lunar-Crystallize, a unique reaction that periodically deals scaling Geo DMG instead of generating shields. Zibai acts as the central on-field DPS, repeatedly triggering Lunar-Crystallize through her enhanced Normal Attacks and special Skills while Hydro teammates maintain consistent application.
In the current version, team compositions are highly restricted, as Zibai relies heavily on Illuga and Columbina to provide stable Hydro application and enable frequent Lunar-Crystallize triggers. Without them, reaction uptime and overall damage fall off significantly.
Below is an example of a Lunar-Crystallize team with Zibai as the Main DPS, Illuga and Columbina as the Sub DPS’, and Zhongli as the Support.
Zhongli can be swapped in this Lunar-Crystallize team for:

A F2P version of Zibai's Lunar-Crystallize team, which has significantly less damage output, has Zibai as the Main DPS, Illuga and Gorou as the Sub DPS’, and Aino as the Support.
Illuga is important to a Zibai team as he provides stronger Hydro uptime and higher reaction frequency. Without him, the reaction frequency can drop and the Lunar-Crystallize burst windows are weaker. You can still make a consistent team without him, but the damage will be slightly less. Below is an example of a Lunar-Crystallize team with Zibai as the Main DPS, Columbina as the Sub DPS, and Xilonen and Zhongli as the Supports.

Here is a showcase on how to use the first Lunar-Crystallize team composition presented in this guide, containing Zibai, Illuga, Columbina, and Zhongli.
We begin by preparing with the support characters. Zhongli's Elemental Skill (E), Columbina's Elemental Skill (E) then Elemental Burst (Q), and Illuga's Elemental Skill (E) then Elemental Burst (Q).
We can that swap in Zibai. Using her Elemental Skill (E) once switches her to the Lunar Phase Shift mode. Four Normal Attacks (4N) causes the fourth hit to deal additional Geo DMG. During this, Transit Luminance will accumulate allowing her to use her special Elemental Skill (E).
Before Zibai's Lunar Phase Shift mode expires, use her Elemental Burst (Q).

- Reaction Reliant: Without consistent Hydro application, Lunar-Crystallize uptime drops sharply, significantly lowering her damage.
- On-Field Commitment: Zibai requires extended field time, reducing flexibility in teams that prefer frequent swapping.
- High Stat Requirements: Reaching optimal DEF thresholds (around 2,000) can be restrictive without proper weapons, artifacts, or Geo teammates.
