[Luna V] Special Interactions: Varka

From Characters' Unique Interactions

Hello, Travelers!

With Luna V release, we have some new content with Varka! Let's check it together!

World Quest: Nameless Bloodstained Monument

After completing Archon Quest Prologue: Act III "Song of the Dragon and Freedom" and defeating the local legend, "The Homesick Lone Wolf," Varka can touch the sword and complete the high-difficulty challenge "Nameless Bloodstained Monument." After completing it, Varka will receive the weapon appearanceUnbreakable: Durandarte. It can be used only for Varka.

Varka: Is this the power of the Wolf of the North? Strange, though — I'm also getting more than just a hint of the Falcon of the West...

Varka: Hmm... Whatever it is, I'll get to the bottom of this!

Varka: An ancient battlefield... Who could've sealed this place off?

Bloodstained Knight: ...Leave now...

Bloodstained Knight: ...Do not disturb... their peaceful slumber...

Varka: A manifestation of Andrius? Now I've really gotta figure out what's going on...

Distant Voice: ...With this unyielding ice, upon this inscribed stele...

Distant Voice: ...Take... the unextinguished flame of battle...

Distant Voice: ...With this biting gale, here I mourn the lost...

Distant Voice: ...Continue... your knightly journey...

Varka: Huh, a manifestation of the Wolf Spirit... A piece I didn't know about?

Varka: Who left you here? And what are you guarding? Answer me... Tell me more.

Roland: ...How many times do I have to say it — this blood-soaked path is mine alone to walk. No one need follow in my footsteps.

Roland: Hah, then let's just call it "fate." Who's to say we didn't just happen to be following the same path, all the way from Mondstadt to Nod-Krai?

Nameless Knights: A "fate" wherein we revere a certain knight, who simply happens to have saved us countless times. Under such circumstances, could we be blamed for embarking on a similar path?

Nameless Knights: Should we not fully understand, we would still stand by as witnesses... Even if in the end, there were only us few left.

Wolf: Awoo!

Roland: If this is truly how you see it... I have no right to deny you.

Nameless Knights: Are those cursed monsters... all dead? And the residents nearby... Are they safe?

Nameless Knights: *cough*... Good... Just a shame we lack the strength to watch you make it to the end... Would that it were not so!

Nameless Knights: From here on out, you must walk this path alone...

Roland: ...When all is said and done, my sword could not protect them all.

Roland: ...In the end, only one remains to walk the path... Perhaps, the way it was always meant to be.

Roland: At the very least, let these swords, and the Wolf Spirit in this place, serve as your guardians — to prevent the dark aberrations from disturbing your eternal rest.

...

Varka: So that's how things were... The Knights of Favonius's records say that when the Bloodstained Knight departed, there were knights who chose to follow him — but they were never mentioned again.

Varka: To think that they perished here fighting monsters... A worthy end for true Knights of Favonius.

Varka: But was this truly all they wished for?

Varka: The unextinguished flame of battle, the longing that dwells within your swords... Tell me, Knights, of your resolve.

Roland: I shall use the power left here by Boreas to seal off this battlefield... And that little wolf will stand vigil for you outside.

Roland: To never be disturbed, to enjoy eternal peace, and forever be spared from witnessing the injustice of this world... If anyone is worthy of such protection, it is you, my friends.

Roland: So here we are — farewell, my final comrades.

Nameless Knights: ...No...

Nameless Knights: ...Let us fight...

Nameless Knights: ...Once more...

Varka: That's the spirit! Surely your wishes and ambitions weren't meant to just wither away in a place like this?

Varka: Join me! And return once more...

Varka: To battle!

...

Varka: The Bloodstained Knight's final comrades in this mortal realm... Once they were gone, I guess Roland really was on his own.

Old Sword

Varka can touch a sword near Amsvartnir and get a unique dialogue.

According to legend, when the Bloodstained Knight left the Knights of Favonius 500 years ago to embark on the path of demon hunting, some knights chose to follow him, leaving Mondstadt together with the champion they revered.

To this day, their names are still recorded in the archives of the Knights of Favonius, though what happened after their departure remains unknown.

Is it because of the unique influence of the Ley Lines here, or was their longing and willpower so intense that these voices still linger...?

(If you haven't found 3 wolves and notes of the knights yet)

Unless I'm mistaken, this must be their final destination.

Though they had left the Knights, they fought bloody battles to uphold the chivalry in their hearts, until all that was left was one lone wolf...

No one can fault you for your deeds. Every action you took was truly befitting your knightly titles.

But it seems that the Bloodstained Knight could not return from the end of his path. It's an ending full of sorrow.

No matter what, the Knights of Favonius won't forget you. Your deeds ought to be celebrated by the world, and your spirits should be returned to your homeland.

Heroic wolf, lead me to their bones.

(If you have already found the notes)

No matter what, the people of Mondstadt won't forget these heroes.

Don't worry — I've already found their grave. Their final wish has been entrusted to me.

Judging by your appearance, I can see you won't be returning home with me, but at least your long vigil is finally at an end.

So rest, heroic wolf... I'll carry your story back to your homeland.

World Quest: Stories to Sate the Glass and Scroll

Varka can also complete the new Witches' Homework quest to become a Hexerei character. In this quest, Varka makes a drink from "wood chips struck by knights," feathers of Timmie's pigeons, and "medicinal broth brewed in a large cauldron." After brewing this drink, the Grand Master nearly dies.
