Hello everyone~ This is a post regarding the above subject which I think I should highlight after experiencing it while distributing latest WGA's prizes~（´∇｀''）
I'm not sure if you know but it seems that the UID for Hoyoverse's games are now region locked. It's not only for GI but ZZZ and HSR as well. Region locked means I cannot use 3rd party top-ups (with exception for locked accounts in Malaysia) for the prizes in my giveaways. I usually use MaMaSlap for prizes and my own top-up but some cannot be top-up from there. The locked ones are all top-up using LootBar (which I also use before I stayed with MMS) and are successful.
Now the important part. I can use the official top-up center (not sure about Codashop since haven't been there after MMS lol) but I'll be honest; who didn't like discounts? And more discount means more prizes (since we can stack the discount for another hoho) and it didn't risk anything of the account being top-up there (〃´𓎟`〃) I will still use MMS as my main top-up place but it will be ugh if one transaction failed due to region locked UID so to make things smooth, I'll add in another option in Google Form starting next GA, whichever it is. As I type this, I don't know how to check whether your UID is region locked or not but it is required to answer in the form so I appreciate if you can check yours for future reference.
This thing actually dampened the interest to host GA and that never happen since I started hosting in April 3rd, 2023....Oh, wow. It's been that long, huh? Ahahaha~ ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵) But anyway, we'll see how it goes. I hope Hoyo will cancelled the region locked system ( ˶>˶˶<˶)
EDIT: You can checked if your UID is locked or not as per stated in the snapshot from MMS below:-
The links given are for Indonesia region. Just proceed until payment page but don't proceed with the payment (paying it). I don't see EU in the list so it's probably still in Global (╭ರ_•́)
EDIT #2: Codashop also impose the same thing:-

Top-up Center will require login (not in-game) to purchase. I think Codashop got link to specific country so I'll have to have said info for future GAs too. Hoyo, why---- ( ◞ ⌓ ◟)＝3
