Chronicled Wish Banner Mechanics

Comparison Table: Chronicled Wish vs Regular Limited Banners

Profitability Comparison: Chronicled Wish vs Regular Banners

Mondstadt
Heavy standard flood → lowest value

Liyue
Moderate standard dilution → medium-high value

Inazuma
Zero standard dilution → highest value

Sumeru
Moderate standard dilution → high value

Fontaine
Zero standard dilution → very high value.

Natlan (projected: 2027)
Expected to be very high value (clean pool like Inazuma/Fontaine). The projected date is based on current Fontaine's Chronicle debut, which distance is 2 years after Fontaine release as a region.

Nod-Krai (projected: 2028)
The projected date is based on current Nod-Krai's Chronicle debut, which distance is 2 years after Nod-Krai release as a region. Since Nod-Krai cast is not complete yet, I will update this part in future posts, for a more accurate range. But for now, here is the closest estimation:

Conclusion:
No, the Chronicled Wish banner is not universally more advantageous than the regular limited banners.
But it also depends on the situation.

.
Situation 1: Players Looking to Expand Their 5★ Weapon Roster
(Goal = get as many different/old 5★ weapons as possible, efficiently)

Bottom line for weapon collectors: Regular Weapon Event Wish is strictly more profitable. Chronicled Wish is only a backup when the exact old weapon you want appears there.
Situation 2: Players Want More 5★ Characters
(Goal = collect as many different/old 5★ characters as possible, efficiently)

Bottom line for character collectors: Chronicled Wish is the clear winner when you want old limited 5★ characters you missed. Regular Character Event Wish is only better when the newest limited character is your target.
Important Note ✉️
Just remember that any 4☆ and 5☆ pity you have as leftover will 🚫 not be carried over to the next chronicle banner, so if you want to be really frugal, do single pulls only, and accept that wasted 4☆ pity is pretty much a guarantee.
