Overview | Bronya

Bronya assisting a Silvermane Guard defeated by Dan Heng before her battle.
Bronya is the second Boss Enemy that was introduced in Honkai: Star Rail, being added into the game during Version 1.0: The Rail Unto the Stars. Lore-wise, she's the commander of the Silvermane Guards and successor to the title of Supreme Guardian of Belobog, making her the ruler after her mother Cocolia. She is fought during the Jarilo-VI Trailblaze Missions, where she attempts to ambush the Astral Express members after Cocolia deems them to be a threat to Belobog that need to be arrested shortly after they arrive at the city.
There are three versions of this fight, one of which will be covered in this guide:
- Bronya | The standard version of this boss, fought in the Trailblaze Missions of Jarilo-VI. Has the ability to summon Silvermane Soldiers and Silvermane Gunners. Lore-wise, she's the real Bronya Rand.
- Fought during the Trailblaze Mission You Can Run, But You Can't Hide.
This guide will NOT include Bronya (Complete) as she only appears as an enemy summoned by Cocolia (Complete). As such, their guides have been placed together and will release later today.
This guide will NOT include Bronya (Illusion), the event exclusive counterpart of the boss fought in the Virtual Scentventure event during Version 1.6: Crown of the Mundane and Divine. As I mentioned in the Gepard guide, I have no footage of the event.
She is considered a Jarilo-VI enemy and can be considered to be a Boss Enemy counterpart of the Silvermane Guard, Silvermane Gunner, Silvermane Cannoneer and Silvermane Lieutenant enemies. In addition to this, Bronya is also a playable Character on the Path of Harmony.
If you enjoyed the guide or found it useful, don't forget to leave a comment and a like! If you have any further questions about the boss or HSR in general, I'll be quick to answer!

Battle Notes | Team Composition

A 1.0 Himeko DPS team that still works when fighting against Bronya today.
Even disregarding the fact that her Complete form is just a summon used by a later boss, Bronya is probably the least mechanically-intense boss in the game. As such, as long as you bring more than one Character who can hit her weaknesses you'll likely be fine. Still, It wouldn't hurt to prepare a bit before you enter battle.
Bronya deals Wind DMG, which no items currently in the game can counter. If an item is added, this guide will be updated.
Bronya and her Silvermane Gunners are both weak to Physical DMG, meaning that strong Physical Characters such as The Trailblazer (Destruction), Argenti and Phainon are all excellent choices when fighting her. As all of these can deal DMG to multiple enemies, they counter Bronya's team quite well. A strong Physical sustaining unit such as Clara or Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae can also be useful as Bronya's ability to advance her teammates' actions mean you'll be taking more DMG than usual.
Bronya is also weak to Fire DMG, meaning that strong Fire Characters that can deal powerful single-target attacks are also useful when focusing purely on defeating Bronya as quick as possible. Characters such as Firefly, Topaz or Himeko that can deal lots of DMG or attack repeatedly are excellent choices for this battle. Once again, Fire sustain units such as The Trailblazer (Preservation), Lingsha or Gallagher are good choices.
Bronya's final weakness is against Imaginary DMG, which boasts some of the stronger Characters in the game. Dr. Ratio, March 7th (The Hunt) and Silver Wolf LV.999 are all powerful Characters that can deal large amounts of damage, while Sunday, The Trailblazer (Harmony) and Yukong are excellent supports that can help other Characters deal more DMG. Alternatively, Luocha and Aventurine are excellent supports to keep other Characters alive.
Specifically focusing on F2P units, March 7th and The Trailblazer can switch between sustaining and DPS, meaning that you'll always have a flexible option that can weakness break Bronya. Yukong and Asta are excellent supports early-game that can also take advantage of Bronya's weakness, while Natasha is able to heal and break Bronya and some of her allies. Overall, as long as you have good sustaining you can pretty much use any Characters you want.
As always, due to Bronya's focus on acting as much as possible, Characters who can give themselves extra actions (such as Seele) or Characters that can summon other units to help them fight (such as Castorice or Hyacine) can circumvent some of her danger. Characters that focus on follow-up attacks (such as Aha or Herta) can also quickly damage Bronya without suffering from her skills.
Here's a few example teams to give you an idea on what to do.

Early F2P Team: The Trailblazer (Destruction), Herta, March 7th (Preservation), Dan Heng

Writer's Notes | Question of the Day!
Two guides in one day!? Impossible!
Unfortunately this guide's quite short, but at the end of the day there really isn't much to say about Bronya's fight other than... eh? There's not much other than the fact that her bullets hurt in the early game, but she doesn't even receive any new moves in her Complete form (she's actually weaker!) and you can't even fight her on her own anymore!
Still though, she was a fun fight and a nice little fight for a Character we've seen before (speaking of which, when do we get Bronya Zaychik's robot in HSR? Or the motorbike!?) and her storyline with Seele was neat. She was also a neat little segway to the underground section of Jarilo-VI, which was where the story really begins to pick up... Even if Sampo does all the heavy lifting...
Does Bronya do anything!?
Either way, She's fun and the patch was fun, and that's all that matters. I hope you all enjoyed the guide and look forward to the guides coming up in the next few weeks! Here's hoping your Warps go well and you have as much fun as possible! Have a great day!
...I hope you enjoyed the guide...
...does Hyacine count as an expy of Barbara?
Also, there's a surprising number of similarities between Miyabi and Mei, there's no way they aren't related in da lore.
