I am here to bring you a complete breakdown of everything new in Patch Luna VIII. This was a huge patch. There is a brand-new region, a massive summer event, QOL changes, new TCG cards, and, of course, new achievements. Let's get started.

In total, Luna VIII has added 224 chests in Nod-Krai III (not including domains). In the open world for Nod-Krai III, there are 4 time trials. (This is accurate as of 7/6/2026.) I will be explaining how this works below.
Total Dunanna Pit and Frost Moon: 13 lux, 32 precious, 103 exquisite, 76 common, and 0 remarkable.
(This does not include the new domains.)
Luna VIII Domain Chests
In version Luna VIII, there were 0 domains added. The new World Quest and following Event quests all do not have special chests or domains. There are 68 Mora Chests in the new region. (All of these count toward exploration %.)
Luna VIII Luna Sigil Count:
Total: Luna Sigil Left Over: 434
(These Luna sigils are found in chests and statues of the 7 rewards.)
We have earned a total of 1798 Luna sigils so far. There were 538 new Luna Sigils from overworld chests. Before this version we had 360 sigils leftover. It takes 300 Luna Sigils to lvl up the 2 new meeting places on the Frost Moon. The new Sigil shop in Nod-Krai is now open after you finish the 2 meeting places. It takes 164 Luna Sigils to buy all the limited items. You are left with 434 Luna Sigils.
Luna VIII Exploration Stuff
The patch also added Radiant Spin Crystals 183-188.
The total number of Lunoculi is 271. There were 79 new Lunoculi in this version. This is enough to get to max Level 10: Moon Statue, with 1 left over.
The total amount of world exploration that is possible is now 100% This version added 26% exploration.

Luna VIII Maximum Chest Count
Prior to patch Luna VIII, the maximum chest count was:

I am missing 6 exq and 12 common from old story quest domains that we cannot go back to. Please write in feedback to let us revisit old domains.

Luna VIII New Achievements
I have earned a total of 39 new achievements since the Luna VIII update.
The current maximum number of achievements is 1759. There are a couple of achievements that are not yet possible, such as obtaining all the Lunar Arcanum. There are no new daily commission achievements in the Nod-Krai III region. The highest possible right now as of 7/6/2026 is 1757.
Luna VIII View Points:
There are a total of 2 new Nod-Krai viewpoints in Dunanna and 17 new viewpoints in Frost Moon.
This makes the total in Nod-Krai 41.
Luna VIII Serenitea Pot:
In Version Luna VIII of the Tea Pot, there are 6 new blueprints in the tea pot shop that you can buy. 10 new blueprints from the Nod-Krai Sigil Shop. A total of 16 new blueprints.
The battle pass teapot item this time is a giant statue. It is the biggest in the game. Apart from that, it isn't anything special.
Luna VIII Books:
In Version Luna VIII there are 2 new books. You can find these during the world quest, on the dark side of the moon.
The total number of archive entries unlocked is 261.

Luna VIII My Favorite New TCG Deck:
A fun TCG deck featuring some of the new TCG character cards from the new patch. Three hot mommies—what else can you ask for? Ok in all seriousness, this deck is pretty strong. It is a combo OTK kind of deck. The idea is you generate cards and reduce their cost. Once you get enough 0-cost cards, you can OTK your opponent. Hard to master.

Common questions:
How long did you play?
I started my session on Patch Day, the world quest took about 3 hours. Exploration of Frost Moon took about 5 hours. The flagship event, Sunny Summer Fontinalia along with Sandrone quests, took about 4 hours.
How come you have 31 more lux chests than the max?
Back when the max chest count for lux was 69. We got a patch that introduced us to Bennet Hangout. For about 4 to 5 days, doing the hangout will lead to an extra lux chest count. This was patched after 5 days. I did not like my ugly number of 71, so I made it an even 100.
Are there any Co-op Chests in the new region?
No, there were no new Co-op Chests in the new region.
How many Primogems can we expect to get if we finish everything in the Patch?
I was able to earn close to 6.5k Primogems from completing everything Luna VIII has to offer up to 7/6/2026.
(Keep in mind this includes Daily Activity and Events.)
Where can I find Pulonia?
You can revisit Sandrone's house after you finish the Summer Event and find Pulonia and play the Pagoda Stack minigame.
Fun Easter Egg. After finishing the world quest, you can come back here and find some snacks Paimon left.
Any special interactions with owning Sandrone?
You get a special dialogue when talking to Katheryne with Sandrone. You will also be able to get 1 of 2 special foods when you claim daily commissions.
You will also be able to get a special gadget called the Sandrone's Portable Tea Table. There will be 16 interactions you can do every 20 hours and finally getting the special tea pot item when you finish.
Owning Sandrone will also let you play the Piano, provided you have finished the Summer event. There is a special cut scene of her playing.
I have noticed a 2,590 primogem Top-Up bonus in my Hoyolab. What is it?
In this version, Hoyoverse has a promotion on their top-off website!!! They are offering 5 coupons where you get 8% primogems of whatever top-off you choose. For example, if you purchase the 99.99 dollar pack, you will get 518 primogems extra.

Anything new with the TCG?
In Version Luna VIII we got a lot of new TCG character cards. They are Wayward hermetic Spiritspeaker, Black Serpent Knight: Windcutter and Nefer.
Are there any QOL changes in Luna VIII?
Yes, as of version Luna VIII. We have a new series of Emote to use in chat.
7 character buffs along with their mini quests.
There is a new album in the Repertoire of Myriad Melodies. There is also 1 more theme you can purchase.
