But as for me I'm a little worried. I hope I'm wrong here but the main event to me looks like the Electro Yaksha. Xiao being there doesn't help. Xiao going "but why?" and turning into that monochrome version of himself doesn't help. But that said Xiao just protects Liyue so it still could be anything and why a yaksha thing should include Yelan and 2 Inazuman tourists would feel like a misstep in my eyes.
Speaking of missteps it looks like even my Kazuha prediction was as accurate as the leakers lol It's so weird why MiHoYo is keeping him away.
And worse is that we're getting Xiao's rererun already. I mean MiHoYo we just got his first rerun 2 updates ago. He was there for v2.4. And you did him dirty that time too by putting him with the new character severely impacting his earnings potential. Now again here you've coupled him with Yelan. Come one MiHoYo what do you have against this guy?
Now that might have broken my prediction but the rest of it is still good. Itto being my first pick for rerun based on Kuki and this is actually a smart move by MiHoYo by NOT placing the new 4* with the new 5*. This way if people want both they'll have to spend primos on a rerun banner. (but that should have been where Xiao was placed MiHoYo 
)
It does benefit me to some degree. I'm already at soft pity for Yelan so now I'm just going to spend a tiny amount to get her to drop before waiting it out at very low pity for Kuki. (Now I just hope Yanfei is on that Itto banner too because I've been flubbed so many times now for her C4 
)
Speaking of Kuki
I'm going to need to do another "Which Ninja" topic on you aren't I? What are you doing girl? Ninjas don't reveal their faces!
But ok this is Genshin after all and it would suck if we never got to see her real face. I just hope they do it tastefully so it doesn't ruin her ninja potential. Also since they're comfortable removing her mask I hope this means we will get some covert Danton no Jutsu missions during her Hangout. As a Kunoichi Kuki would usually go on espionage campaigns to gather intel from targets that can't help but stare at her googly-eyed. Can't do that without showing off that gorgeous smile.
She definitely needs to take a page out of Yelan's playbook though. Known as the one with a thousand faces Yelan doesn't even need to hide hers because nobody knows who she really is. And her skill where she Suiton's and goes invisible? Now that's a ninja.
As for the events I'm most excited for Itto's.
We've already gotten a few musical instruments in this game but they're just midi players. Hopefully this one with all its customizations will finally be what I suggested a long long time ago.
I mean they just did a music contest so if the tone-deaf bug doesn't sting them in the butt again they should be thinking about this stuff. Imagine being able to make original compositions in game and have your characters playing it. There are plenty of Genshin creators that have made things like music videos and even when it was just the simple instruments we had there were creators that came up with some very cool compositions. Nurture that MiHoYo!
We're getting more Sumeru lore again and it's another continuation. I wonder if we'll be talking to Hosseini again or if it'll be a Pursina. We already know a Pursina who is already researching in the Chasm so maybe he'll lead the expedition or a fellow member and we'll learn more about what these Pursina Spikes really are. Btw in Chinese they are actually called Pursina's "Light Nails" so I'll just leave you guys with that haha.
Next is this little steampunk critter who's coming along with likely a nice dose of Fontaine lore. It's interesting we're learning more and more about that region when Sumeru's still not out yet. While Inazuma was waiting in the wings we learned next to nothing about Sumeru. Could that means Fontaine will be a turning point in the series? It would be halfway through.
But the event I'm worried about is that first one they brought up.
I'm getting hot flashes from v2.4 and that Potion event. You couldn't use the same team for consecutive battles so that made getting the rewards much more difficult. The Trial Characters they provide were garbage. That was the only event so far where I don't think everybody got all the primogems and even if you did it took so much effort. Not the best idea for an event.
Finally outside of the update we got something new too.
Haha so MiHoYo listened at least once to me so far. When we heard about the v2.7 delay I gave MiHoYo some feedback in game. I mean I told them about how they could solve for this long-term but doesn't look like they're interested. So in the meantime I said they might want to run more rounds of the Ley Line Overflow events to give players something to do. And here it is.
Overall I'm satisfied with v2.7. The fact that we'll have an Archon Quest means I can take my time with it. That also means not having an event quest spanning a whole week. The banners while not the smartest decision for MiHoYo does work out since we'll have that extra day on Yelan and then rebuild your pity while going after Kuki. I'm hoping the new drum thing means something more than the other interactive stuff we've gotten before.
