Version 5.7 Beta late overview

From Honkai Impact 3rd. Meow's guide collection

Important: Although version 5.7 is already live, the intel used have been taken from the beta version and kept as unaffected by the live version's data as possible. Therefore, this article may include details that differ from the real state of things. For the currently available content, please refer to in-game descriptions. For the unknown content, it's still fine to refer to this article.

Greetings, Captains!

The new version goes on air, and here's some intel on what you would expect from it, all collected with care by yours truly.

Version 5.7 brings us some new functions and experiences, and following is a list of some of those things:

• New story chapter

• New and old events

• New S-rank and A-rank SP battlesuits

• New weapons

• New stigma sets

• New outfits

• Challenge activity updates

Let's have a closer look at what they are.

~New Story chapter~

The new chapter leads us to the real Deep End of Elysian Realm - to a place where souls of eternal warriors rest.

Elysium Everlasting features a new Open World stage. Its action takes place on a miraculous island, the shape of which looks quite familiar. You will be able to deploy three Valkyries and an ELF of your choice to explore the map. It's a truly beautiful and glorious place that represents all the greatness of humanity. Or not? Find out for yourself!

This new activity is basically separated into two modes:

• Story

You will proceed with the main story together with Mei, meet the Flame-Chasers and reveal more details about the ultimate fate of the world. You will be able to choose the difficulty before entering.

• Exploration

Take a walk around the same area, fight monsters, solve puzzles and take on various challenges to satisfy your thirst for discovery, battle, or riches.

To aid you on your journey, a system of magical enhancements called Weapon Cards was added. You can obtain those cards from packs found in treasure chests and given for completing challenges and missions. Combine the cards you find suitable into a deck to make your time there more exciting. Deck options are being unlocked while progressing, and you can switch between them. Each deck provides you with an additional skill of the corresponding type, which has powerful effects that are certainly going to be helpful.

You can also get a bunch of tools that will help you to solve puzzles, open shortcuts, and find hidden objects. See if you can obtain them:

• Master Key opens every door before you. Almost. This tool will allow you to open new passages and shortcuts that can save your time, but for certain locks, you'll need a more powerful tool.

• Multipurpose Glasses allow you to see hidden objects and interact with them. There is always something that's hidden from unarmed eye. Don't even try to use them to see under people's clothes.

• Multipurpose Lens is vital to solving certain puzzles found in Exploration mode. They aren't really difficult, but don't forget to take it back when you finish.

You may be wondering what the special challenges in Exploration mode are. There are three Anomalous Beacons, each featuring a certain theme. Activate them to take on powerful enemies and get rewards. Every Anomalous Beacon has 6 rounds of battle, and you can complete them all together or leave after completing a round - your progress will be saved so that you can get back to it later. It is recommended to use appropriate card decks to better cope with these challenges.

On top of that, there's a special shop in this activity. In its main section, you can spend special currency called Film Reel obtained throughout playing to buy card packs with better chances of getting specific card types. In its time-limited event section, you can spend Shiny Coins to buy a variety of items, including a Honkai Shard, Bringer of Light Stigma Option, Crystals, and up to 40 Golden Diva Fragments!

~Version's Events~

Beside the special Elysium Everlasting event, there are three more events that will be happening throughout the version, including one event from the past, a mission completion event, and a brand new open map event. More than that, the next Spending Event will also take place.

Immortal Hymn

Immortal Hymn event features a special Immortal Seal currency, which can be obtained by completing certain time-limited missions. Immortal Seals can be exchanged in the corresponding shop section to get a variety of useful items, including Crystals and Honkai Shards.

Rosemary's Floriograph

Rosemary's Floriograph event returns in this version, waking old memories or creating new sweet ones. This event's special item Rosemary can be exchanged in the corresponding shop section to get useful materials, Coins, Crystals, a special gift box, and up to 20 Golden Diva Fragments. The special gift box offers you the choice between an outfit for Black Nucleus and a decent amount of Asterite.

Shattered Dimensions

Shattered Dimensions is a new event that features two multi-storeyed maps that resemble the Open World mode.

Your final goal for each of them is to defeat a so-called Hunter. Those are powerful enemies warping and wandering all around the map. They have an Alertness scale that fills up as you engage into fights with regular enemies and interact with certain objects. If you happen to provoke a Hunter by raising their Alertness to maximum or directly run into them early, you'll have to break their dimensional shield to win the fight, but they cannot be completely defeated that way and will retreat to another area of the map.

In order to finally defeat the Hunters, you must gather data about their weaknesses stored in special devices and engage into the final battle at a designated place.

Prepare to explore an unknown dimension and make the Hunter your prey.

This event also has its shop section, where its special items can be exchanged for materials, Coins, Crystals, up to 40 Golden Diva Fragments, and the new outfit for Bright Knight: Excelsis!

~New Battlesuits~

This time, two more Flame-Chasers are going to join our ranks. Tender and dangerous Aponia, the Third Flame-Chaser, whose past is shrouded in mystery and whose reticent speech and unimaginable abilities make her colleagues feel in awe. Beafiful and nostalgic Eden, the Fifth Flame-Chaser, admired by all, whose charming song faded along with the Previous Era. Greet them on board Hyperion.

Disciplinary Perdition

Disciplinary Perdition is Aponia's BIO-type Lightning DMG S-rank battlesuit that utilizes ranged attacks to deal with enemies.

As the most powerful phychic MANTIS, she has all the resources to conquer the battle without having to lift a finger. She is the second character to use Chakram as her weapon of choice, however, as a ranged attacker, she turns it into a halo that serves as a conduit for her power. In a team, Disciplinary Perdition plays the role of the main damager, for most of her skill bonuses are self-targeting.

• Personal space, untouched (ranged attacks): Aponia attacks enemies from distance, making it possible to wound them before they even get close to her.

• Universal approach, pervasive (high AoE damage): Aponia's reach extends far enough to vanquish multiple enemies at once without having to gather them if they're scattered.

• Self-containment, fated (comprehensible skill rotation): When on the field, Aponia can reliably maintain an action cycle that allows her to sustain high damage levels.

• Persistency, undoubted (easy resource recovery): Aponia's Charged attack requires her special resource Redemption and depletes it, while weapon active can fully restore it.

• Atonement, timeless (time mastery): Aponia's QTE triggers Global Time Fracture, making it possible to trigger various bonuses and characters' QTE, as well as act without losing time, get a better view on the situation, or retreat.

Disciplinary Perdition Chibi left her corner in the Deep End to pay a visit to the Dormitory and maybe stay there for a while. Are you ready to accept her?

Disciplinary Perdition Character Card and/or her fragments can be obtained from her special Expansion Supply.

Golden Diva

Golden Diva is Eden's IMG-type Lightning DMG A-rank SP battlesuit that uses ranged attacks and provides useful effects for her team.

The most musical character to ever join the Hyperion is here. Due to not being a real fighter even despite being one of the Flame-Chasers, she doesn't boast destructive powers or absolute battlefield control, but her abilities are still a force to be reckoned with. In a team, Golden Diva plays the supporting role, however, she is also capable of dealing considerable damage.

• Enthralling performance: Eden can quickly build up Paralyze Trauma with her Combo attacks, Ultimate, and SP skill.

• Fantastic chorus: Eden's skills can recover SP for the whole team or for herself even when she's on standby.

• Enduring melody: Eden's SP skill can recover her HP, making it possible for her to hold better while waiting through a rotation gap or when fighting on her own.

• Resonance: Activating a team member's weapon active can trigger Eden's QTE attack, therefore making it easier to control.

Golden Diva Chibi is also here and is ready to shine as the new Dorm star.

Golden Diva Character Card and her fragments can be obtained from another special Supply that goes on air with the version.

Golden Diva Fragments also were, are, or will be available for purchase through a variety of sources:

• Past: Finality Prayers Login Event

• Permanent: Battle Arsenal

• Time-limited events: Elysium Everlasting special event, Shattered Dimensions, Rosemary's Floriograph.

~New Weapons~

Three new weapons appear in this version, including a new chakram and its PRI-Arm form!

Lost Conviction

Lost Conviction is a new Chakram-type weapon with strong base stats that features a special effect Lightning Butterflies, which appear upon using weapon active and fly towards enemies to deal Lightning damage, also increasing the Lightning damage further dealt to them by the user. Its second effect provides an additional Lightning damage bonus, and an exclusive bonus for Disciplinary Perdition that increases her Charged attack's Lightning damage.

Lost Conviction: Damnation is the PRI-Arm form of this weapon. In addition to raising the bonus rates of all the aforementioned effects, it gives an extra Lightning damage bonus, as well as an exclusive bonus for Disciplinary Perdition that increases the Total damage dealt by her Ultimate.

Lost Conviction can be obtained from the corresponding Supply. Good luck with your supply draws!

Lost Conviction: Damnation can be forged in the Foundry after the former is obtained. Bring your Einstein's Torus, SC Metal-H2 and Nanoceramic!

Echo of Paradise

Echo of Paradise is a new Pistol-type semi-supportive weapon with decent base stats. It provides team-wide moderate Lightning and Total damage bonuses, as well as an additional Lightning damage bonus for the wielder's teammates upon using Ultimate. Giving it to Golden Diva will put exclusive bonuses to work, allowing her to automatically cast weapon active on QTE and activate her special state Performance, or Fascination if Performance is already in effect.

Echo of Paradise can be obtained from the corresponding Supply.

~New Stigma Sets~

Two new stigma sets arrive with this version. Mostly preferred by Lightning teams, they still leave some room for use in other cases.

Paradoxical Philosophy

Paradoxical Philosophy is a 3-piece set that consists of three Zeno stigmata (T, M, B).

It's a great choice for Lightning characters who utilize Combo and ranged attacks, and it's especially good for the battlesuits able to land numerous hits within a short period of time.

Its Top and Middle pieces grant permanent considerable Lightning damage bonuses. In addition, the Top piece moderately increases Total damage after dealing Lightning damage with a Combo attack, and the Middle piece significantly boosts Evasion Skill recovery. Its Bottom piece tremendously increases the damage dealt by ranged Combo attacks, granting a Total damage bonus for ranged attacks and a Lightning damage bonus for Combo attacks. The whole set features a special effect Butterfly Mark that can be applied with Lightning Combo attacks. Hitting an enemy with Butterfly Mark triggers explosions that deal moderate Lightning damage and restore a small amount of SP to the bearer. Additionally, triggering Ultimate Evasion Skill significantly increases the damage dealt to marked enemies.

This stigma set is recommended for DIsciplinary Perdition, however, it can also be utilized by such battlesuits as Infinite Ouroboros and Golden Diva. Its pieces separately are more flexible and can be given to a wider variety of battlesuits.

Zeno (T, M, B) can be obtained from the special Supply.

High Baroque Maestro

High Baroque Maestro is a set that consists of three Handel stigmata (T, M, B).

It's a relatively universal semi-supportive set for Lightning characters.

Its pieces grant moderate Lightning and Total damage bonuses. Its Middle piece provides even higher Lightning damage bonus upon landing a weapon active, and its Bottom piece slightly increases Total damage and restores SP over time upon landing Combo or Charged attacks. Its Top piece additionally increases the Lightning damage dealt by teammates upon landing QTE. As a set, it gives moderate Lightning and Total damage bonuses to the bearer and teammates respectively, as well as allows to activate all pieces' effects at once upon using Ultimate and makes enemies more susceptible to Lightning damage.

This set is recommended for Golden Diva, but can also be efficiently used by other supporting characters, such as Prinzessin der Verurteilung, and a little less efficiently by non-supporting characters. Its pieces separately are relatively versatile themselves, but a little less flexible in use.

Handel (T, M, B) can be obtained from the special Supply, or made in the Foundry by transmuting corresponding Ishikawa Goemon stigmata (Pure Purple Crystalytes and other matz required). Also, one stigma of your choice can (or could) be obtained from High Baroque Maestro Stigma Option from the special Login Event.

~New Outfits~

Our wardrobe might need some expansion, for there are two more new outfits coming with this version. Hyped Spectral Claws for our beloved MANTIS scout Reverist Calico, and trendy Gale Hunter for Bright Knight: Excelsis can be a nice addition to your collection.

Spectral Claws

It's Haxxor Bunny... It's Umbral Rose... It's Pardofelis! This mixed-style outfit combines luminescent details, a futuristic jacket and a holographic pawprint with waitress' costume parts, and it also features altered special effects. Can has a new look too!

Spectral Claws can be obtained from the special Spending Event shop.

Gale Hunter

A modern look for a classical knight. Practical and stylish.

Gale Hunter can be obtained from the Shattered Dimensions event shop.

~Memorial Arena update~

In this version, Memorial Arena gets updated with two things:

• Captains in the Exalted division meet a new challenge - SSS-rank Tonatiuh.

This QUA-type boss undergoes a modification and obtains new daunting abilities and new mechanics. Its looks now better fit its superposed nature, while its abilities are now more befitting of its name. Phase change involves a spectacular scene, so don't miss on it.

Tip: Certain mechanics suggest deploying a melee character.

• A new recording system is being added. It will allow you to make recordings of your fights and share them with other Captains. It can be switched On or Off, and if On, a window will appear after the battle asking if you wish to save the recording. Remember that the replays are initially saved locally, so you must have free storage space on your device. After saving your replay, you can see it appear in the replay menu's Saved tab. There you can browse your replays and upload them to the Cloud for other players to see.

Other Captains' recordings can be seen in the Recommended tab. For your convenience, there's a couple of functions that allow you to filter those replays by bosses and change their view method on the list.

~Superstring Dimension update~

More challenges await in one of the parts of the Infinity Abyss.

Three new stages appear, including a regular stage with new modifiers and two boss stages, and one of those bosses joins Challenge activities for the first time!

Prepare to take on another manifestation of IMG-type False God Otto and a PSY-type master of martial arts from Mount Taixuan Li Sushang, also known as the Jade Knight!

Otto's stage environment provides a damage bonus for IMG-type Valkyries. To overcome the Jade Knight, you will have to use characters able to inflict Paralyze Trauma.

~Elysian Realm update~

Playable characters

Elysian Realm welcomes two new battlesuits: Disciplinary Perdition and Golden Diva. They will also have increased Memory Fragment acquisition rates.

Disciplinary Perdition's mechanics are noticeably altered so that she can be active most of the time. Instead of sending her into Conviction, weapon active summons an illusion that deals damage to enemies and provides useful effects while being present. Her exclusive signets focus on the summoned illusion, as well as on such aspects of her gameplay as Combo attacks and Ultimate, making it possible to cast them with minimal pauses. Also, as one of those who share the Flame-Chasers' fate, she can choose two exclusive signets on the first floor.

Golden Diva's exclusive signets provide bonuses for her Combo attacks and her Ultimate's effect Sound of Nature, triggering additional hits, granting more SP, and increasing the damage done. Being one of the Flame-Chasers, she also gets to choose two exclusive signets on the first floor.

Support Valkyries

Another newcomer in Elysian Realm is Starlit Astrologos Support Valkyrie.

She can gather enemeis and deal Physical damage, while also increasing your character's survivability and Physical damage. On top of that, while present, she also slightly increases the Physical damage of your character's Ultimate and Burst mode.

Functions

One more thing that changes in Elysian Realm is the sigil slot. There are two of them now, allowing you to obtain signets of increased levels faster or combine different Flame-Chasers' blessings more efficiently.

You can equip one of the regular sigils in the first slot. These are the Sigils obtained from Elysian Realm's story, missions, and Remembrance Vessels at levels 4 and 8. The second slot can hold one of the sigils that grant Flame-Chasers' active support skills. These sigils can be obtained from Remembrance Vessels at level 11.

~Other updates~

• Universal Mirage expands with another floor in Roaring Palace. Clearing Floor 7 awards the new material Pure Purple Crystalyte required to make Handel stigmata. This material is also added to the Mirage Store shop tab.

• Something ominous is afoot. Ai-Phone's theme is being replaced by a new one. AiPonia is here. Is it a blessing or a curse?

• A new Guide system arrives! You can check the information that interests you, be it bosses, Valkyries, or something else. It doesn't only contain the recommendations but also has some video materials. The design of the new Guide system is pleasant, and it isn't hard to navigate through, but it takes some time and resource to load. The new Guide system can be accessed via the button that appears in certain places (e.g. character menu), opening the corresponding Guide page.

That's all about what yours truly was able to explore before the release. Hope this version overview will be useful to Captains despite being late to the party.

Stay safe and enjoy your time on board Hyperion!
