Kazuha's Role

On a purely subjective level, Kazuha is best suited to be used as a quick-swap support character alongside Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo teammates. The reason for this is because of the way his

Skill, Burst and Ascension Passives are designed to support others.

Appreciating Kazuha's Supportive Abilities

Skill - Kazuha's Skill: Chihayaburu, especially when held, provides excellent crowd control while also dealing Anemo DMG. He can effectively group enemies, allowing other main DPS characters to easily

focus their attacks on a more concentrated area. Holding his skill, as opposed to

tapping it, sends Kazuha higher, increasing his plunge attack's DMG

over a greater area at the cost of a higher Skill cooldown.

Burst - Kazuha's Burst: Kazuha Slash can deal infused Skill DMG on top of the AoE Anemo DMG it already deals. Casting his Burst, and then infusing it with the element of a Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo

DPS would be an ideal way to maximise his capacity to deal DMG.

First Ascension Passive - Kazuha's First Ascension Passive allows his plunging attack to deal a large amount of elemental damage corresponding with the element it comes into contact with upon being cast (Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo). This passive can be triggered by attacking elemental enemies,

such as slimes, or thanks to a party member's application of Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo.

Fourth Ascension Passive - This ascension passive determines one of the most important aspects of a support Kazuha. If a Swirl reaction is triggered, party members with the respective swirled element

acquire an elemental DMG% bonus depending on Kazuha's Elemental Mastery.

Different elemental DMG% bonuses can exist at once, but each last 8

seconds and must be triggered again after they end.

Choosing Artifacts + Weapons

By now, hopefully the importance of Elemental Mastery for Kazuha's kit has been demonstrated. The more Elemental Mastery Kazuha has, the higher elemental DMG% bonuses he can provide to his Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo teammates. It comes as no surprise that Kazuha's Elemental

Mastery should be maximised. This can be done by equipping the following:

1. Sands of Eon with Elemental Mastery as its Main Stat

2. Icon Goblet of Eonothem with Elemental Mastery as its Main Stat

3. Circlet of Logos with Elemental Mastery as its Main Stat

For artifacts that cannot have Elemental Mastery as their Main Stat, the following Sub Stats would be ideal to have and upgrade (by chance) from most to least preferred: Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, ATK% and Crit Rate/DMG to maximise Kazuha's Burst up-time and his overall DMG. Elemental Mastery can be ignored for artifacts with Elemental Mastery as their Main Stat.

Optimally, weapons that share the Secondary Stat Type Elemental Mastery are preferred to be used with Kazuha, assuming that Kazuha has a reliable source of Energy Recharge, such as that provided by Anemo Resonance or a battery character. In the instance that this Energy Recharge is unavailable, other weapons such as those that provide the Secondary Stat Type Energy Recharge can help increase Kazuha's Burst up-time.
