I dunno. I haven't noticed anything perilous just yet. I mean it's probably coming but for now I'm just drooling too much to think about being in peril.
From the amount of cleavage Yelan's showing to the low-cut super short shorts of our new kunoichi I just can't really concentrate on the perils. It's like MiHoYo got fed up with the people talking about censorship so they went all out. First with the new Fischl bday art using her only attire that's literally just lingerie and now making sure to show off these new character's assets it feels just like a loud "bruh" by MiHoYo to the conspiracy theorists.
But anyway I'm dropping a guess right now and saying we haven't encountered Xiao yet.

No that's not him. I feel like the way we encountered him is just weird and he's not someone to be like "huh so you're here too?"

This is coupled by the fact that we only saw Xiao a short while ago. We know he's in the Chasm and somehow he can't hear us? Sus. (Remember how we were supposed to be able to call him from anywhere on Teyvat and he'd know to teleport to us?)

Hmmmm teleporting. See that's a continuity error imo. We've seen characters teleporting before. I mean

So just because they fell a long way should mean nothing in Teyvat. And in fact even if these specific characters are trapped we canonically use the Teleport Waypoints so all we'd have to do is go get Mona to teleport everybody out. Done. Quest over. So MiHoYo should have looked into it deeper and just give these guys a reason not to immediately look for an exit.
But after the Domain Yanfei does say it looks like they can't get out the way they came. (again doesn't help when we can still just teleport out) And I think that means we did exit in a different place after the Domain. I think we ended up in something like a dream world or a Labyrinth.
And when you're stuck in a Labyrinth like this wouldn't it be fantastic to have a compass point you in the right direction?

Anyway even though this Archon Quest-Event is happening really quick and also my track record with these hasn't been the best I'm still going to drop my predictions. So I think it's a red herring that this story will be about the Electro Yaksha. Of course I have my own personal reasons for saying thisbut I think we won't even really see Xiao until the very end. And when we finally see the real Xiao we'll realize the Xiao we've been seeing the whole quest is an impostor. And not just any impostor but the Electro Yaksha assuming his fellow yaksha's appearance. This will be just like Azhdaha where his soul is split. 500 years ago the Electro Yaksha fell against the Abyss but part of him was twisted and turned into a hellbound soul and his sheer force of will created something like one of those Enkanomiya ghosts. The ghost is the one we meet and is trying to atone for his past sins. One day in the future we'll finally find the condemned part of the yaksha and that'll be my Demon's Lament theory. Fingers crossed!
And that ghost is going to help guide us and the person who brought the compass down here in the first place together. That way we can rescue that person/put their soul to rest and then use the Fantastic Compass to get out/destroy it to end the Domains. It might be that the compass is generating this Labyrinth and that's why we can't get out. (even though we totally can)
And I'll see you guys tomorrow to see if we get any hint of that in Part 2!

PS: Which is another thing right? As an Archon Quest it makes sense for it to be a long quest. But also because it's an Archon Quest it really doesn't lend itself well to a time-locked event does it? Again because of the "trapped" idea since we literally have to teleport out each time to get our daily stuff done in between days. So having a story about "being trapped" across multiple days just doesn't work. It just ends up looking like we're horrible people who teleport out at our leisure to do other stuff while leaving these guys to rot down there until we decide to come back for more story.
