I haven't got Yelan yet because of bad luck, so all my analyses below used are based on my friend's Yelan. I hope this is helpful to you all!
I'm gonna talk about three types of Yelan (by gacha difference)
1. Basic Yelan (constellation 0 + Favonius Warbow)
Compared to Xingqiu, Yelan attacks 3 times per sec, DPS being around 20000, while Xingqiu attacks 4 times per sec, DPS being around 21000.
2. Advanced Yelan (constellation 0 + Aqua Simulacra)
Is the energy recharge bearable with constellation 0? The answer is yes if there are multiple enemies. DPS will be around 25000.
3. Ultimate Yelan (constellation 6 + Aqua Simulacra)
DPS becomes around 45000,
In conclusion, as long as the energy recharge is ensured:
1. Basic Yelan can hit a maximum DPS of 20000, almost equal to that of Xingqiu (constellation 6).
2. Advanced Yelan can hit a maximum DPS of 25000, about 20% more than the the basic Yelan.
3. Ultimate Yelan can hit a maximum DPS of 65000 (with charged attack) or 45000 (without), over 200% more damage compared to basic Yelan.
Overall, basic Yelan is around the middle tier, and she may be a better choice than Xingqiu in some team comps, but not amazing. However, Yelan in constellation 6 is really strong, worth all the primos!
