Elysian Realm Character Guide (Starry Impression)

From Spyduck's ER Collection

This guide aims to teach the basics of handling the Valkyrie. The ability to tackle higher difficulties depend on your personal loadouts and acquired advantages at present.

Set-up

Core Playstyle

Paint-swap attacks on the Ultimate key on repeat. Though not a focal point of Stars signets, Griseo is reliant on her cooldown reductions through paints to continuously use her abilities from Ultimates, to evasions, to weapon actives.

There is a minor strategic, yet conflicting method involved when playing Griseo. To maximise damage output, you want all 3 colours to be present (regardless of amount) on her Colour Marker palette. However, to specifically aim at an ability for cooldown reduction, you will want to fill only one colour of paint, and will thus execute a weaker Combo Atk. (The difference in power is 650%-400% = a difference of 250%).

Whether that percentage matters is up to you. For a fuss free experience, simply let the colours flow naturally, and make do with what you get.

Usage Difficulty

Handling: Easy - Moderate

  • With Griseo, you simply need to stay in her Ultimate state and attack.

Power Ramping

  • Griseo's abilities are able to sustain her completely from SP support, evasions, to gather ability, so just focus on a complete colour palette and her attacks will do the job.

Power Drought Situation(s)

  • The difference between an incomplete colour palette and a complete one is significant in damage. If power is indeed your focus, then simply chain the [ULT] command for all 3 colours on repeat, regardless of cooldown concerns for your abilities.

Equipment

Special Adjustments

Exclusive Signets

[River Forest -> Starry Night] -> Cloud Valley -> Feathers / Azure Wind

Since Griseo's damage is reliant on the number of Colour Markers consumed, River Forest and Starry Night make for the best starting combination, giving you quick access to 5 Markers and then multiplying the damage inflicted. This combination is important for providing the large amounts of cooldown reductions needed for Griseo, especially her Ultimate.

  • While not stated clearly, each paint marker reduces only their matching ability's cooldown. Red for actives, Yellow for Ultimate, and Blue for Evasion. Every marker of the respective colour, reduces that said ability by 1s each.

With damage out of the way, Cloud Valley provides utility by means of a strong gather, well suited for the melee-using Griseo, who attacks mainly in a straight line out. To create a shortcut to this attack, simply evade first and then attack, which allows you to reach the 4th attack on the second attack move. This method works for both Normal and Ultimate attack commands.

The last two depends on your need for utility, as Azure Wind is meant for Evasion-trigger, and Feathers for Bleeding damage (basically Damage over time)

If you have Setsuna's Core (II), Azure Wind can be a viable signet due to the on-demand trigger for quick Colour Marker boosts. While it looks useless at first glance, it is supported by River Forest's ability with Seq 3, which recovers 2 markers, giving you a quick 5-colour marker maneuver through regular evade and attack.

Signets

Priorities

Key Signets - Stars, Daybreak

Sub Signets - Decimation, Setsuna, Discipline

There are two ways to build Griseo's signets based on your weapon.

  • Those with her Elysian Astra have the benefit of the Evasion bonus, which heals and toughens her. This allows her to focus on passive strength, and fight healthily in risky situations.

  • Those without Elysian Astra will not have easy access to her Evasion bonus, and thus need to either reach for Setsuna's aid or depend on manual action

Core Contributions

Stars (I) / (II)

  • Griseo's signets complement her by functioning twice its duration compared to most other users, whereas her Colour Markers reduce cooldowns of her abilities significantly, helping to close the duration gap (This makes the "Grey" signet unnecessary for Griseo). When your attack cycle is optimised she stays in a state of enhanced power. Combined with the huge damage multipliers, Griseo can inflict significant punishment against any enemy she faces.

Fortunately for her, all crosses come with a usable active. Hence players will have no problem using any cross, substitute or otherwise. Even with the high cost of some actives, Griseo's SP gain and low Ultimate cost (75 SP) poses no issue for players.

  • You must acquire her respective signets first for the paints to work. Her Colour Markers are NOT a replacement trigger for Taint - they merely help reduce cooldowns for their respectively-linked abilities.

Setsuna (II) - (Bonus: Time Mastery)

  • As Griseo has a trigger for Ultimate Evasion, she can get a power boost from Setsuna.
  • The Core (II) will be important to players without Elysian Astra.

Daybreak (I) / (II) - (Bonus: Bleed)

  • Griseo gets secondary support via Bleed dmg and is able to handle either Core safely. Because Griseo is naturally cycling through her attacks and maneuvers quickly, Rend is easily reapplied to enemies new and old.

Decimation (II)

  • Since Griseo has enough fortitude and some healing to match, she can stay in low HP state and lend more power to the already devastating Mr.Knight slashes.
