I think we've all heard about it now. Nipping the heels of our naive shadow of an Electro Archon the "Chinese Archon" has now slapped its region with a Gaming Hunt Decree severely limiting the "ambitions?" of people on grinding and farming in games like Genshin Impact.

I'm sure plenty of people will just jump on the bandwagon of something along the lines of "freedom" or blah blah but some of the more cultured and intelligent will understand why they did this. After all the subject is pretty hot worldwide and especially in our own Genshin Community.
"Games (gacha especially) are addicting!"
And I have no problem with people siding with that. (Even if I don't agree that we should blame games for our own personal problems lol) Many countries have gone the legal route to stop gaming addiction in their children. Countries like Belgium flat out banned gacha's more-******ic-younger-brother lootbox games. For its part MiHoYo's gone to great trouble to prevent addiction in Genshin.
As a result though I think it means China's massive gaming market is no longer as attractive so hopefully this will allow these innovative Chinese developers to focus more on outside markets that don't really care as much about gaming addiction.
If that happens it should wave a big flag in front of MiHoYo to learn and better promote their games for the wider international audience. What may have worked on Chinese gamers can fall flat on us so MiHoYo will have to learn and learn quickly.
I really hope that means they'll finally address the one glaring issue of their operations which is marketing and pr.
Anyway what's your opinion on all this? You guys think MiHoYo will be forced to work better on building relations with its playerbase now that it can't rely on its home market to fall back on?
