Hi guys, since the Raiden Shogun banner is going away in about 1 day left, I thought I'd make this short review of what my impression on her so far after playing with her everyday for the last (almost) 3 weeks. So people who are still hesitant on pulling her will hopefully get more information from this post [emoji]
So this is my Raiden's stat and kit: (look at my copium 1000+ def) 😥
Attack: 1809
EM: 65
Crit Rate: 52.8%
Crit Dmg: 151.1%
Energy Recharge: 209.6%
Electro dmg bonus: 90.4%
Weapon: The Catch R5 (I'm so tired at fishing the puffer fishes..)
Artifact sets:
4 piece Emblem of Severed Fates
If you are running your Raiden with Bennett/Kujou Sara, Electro dmg goblet will always be the preferred choice instead of Atk% Goblet. I also have tested her with Atk% goblet too, and I consistently deal about 10% less damage compared to using Electro dmg goblet. Therefore Electro dmg is my preferred choice.
If you are one of those lucky people with Engulfing Lighting as her weapon, Energy recharge sands will be the preferred choice.
With the current setup, my Elemental Burst Damage bonus will be:
90.4% (electro dmg) + 32% (the catch R5) + 52.4% (4 pc emblem bonus) = 174.8%

Talent levels: who cares about her normal attack right..
Constellation:
*DISCLAIMER: I was fortunate enough to be blessed with C1 Raiden. However, even if I were to own a C0 Raiden, I would've still done this testing with full stack on her burst, thus resulting in no difference in damage dealt at all.
C1 will just help you accumulate resolve stack faster.
Testing:
Done in spiral abyss floor 12 Chamber 3. Against the 2 ruin gurads, because it's the easiest to repeat in there. Keep in mind, I have selected no buff cards that are related to attack / crit rate / crit damage, so if I were to actually pick buff cards like "Attack +20%" Or "Crit Rate +8% / Crit Dmg +15%" She would do even more damage.
Party Setup:
- Zhongli with Milelith (20% attack bonus + 20% resistance shred)
- Mona with Lv. 9 Burst (58% dmg bonus)
- Bennett with 4 noblesse set
Elemental Skill dmg (E) : no bennett buff
Initial proc: 9,616
Coordinated attack: 3,614
Assuming within 10 seconds window, you can proc the coordinated attack at max 10 times: total dmg dealt will be
9,616 + (10 * 3,614) = 45,756
Elemental Skill dmg (E) : with bennett buff
Initial proc: 15,399
Coordinated attack: 5,787
Bennett's burst lasat for 12 seconds. Assuming within 10 seconds window (which is still pretty realistic), you can proc the coordinated attack at max 10 times: total dmg dealt will be
15,399 + (10 * 5,787) = 73,269
Elemental Burst Damage: at full 60 stack without bennett + mona buff (only zhongli's shield)
Initial slash: 113,273
Charge attack dmg: 18,021 + 16,077
Elemental Burst Damage: at full 60 stack with bennett + mona buff + zhongli's shield
Initial slash: 182,798
Charge attack dmg: 30,162 + 33,808 = 63,970
Normal attack hit 1/2/3: 25,344 + 25,120 + 27,939 = 78,403
If you haven't checked out iWinToLose video (linked below) on how to optimize Raiden's burst I highly suggest it, but essentially, the best combo to perform during her 7 seconds of Burst is: 3 x ( 3 Normal Attack + 1 Charged Attack ) + 1 Charged Attack

So during her burst, with this current part setup, you can essentially dish out a total of:
182,798 + (3 * (78,304 + 63,970)) + 78,403 = 688,023

One last important point that I want more people to realise:
Her Elemental skill boost your team's Elemental Burst dmg:
At talent level 8: boost 0.29% for every Energy required
If burst needs 40 energy --> boost by 11.6%
If burst needs 60 energy --> boost by 17.4%
If burst needs 80 energy --> boost by 23.2%
If burst needs 90 energy --> boost by 26.1% (Raiden's own burst)
Do you guys realise that this is essentially like almost the equivalent value of a FREE 2-pc Noblesse Bonus...?
This is buff is so good and it should not be taken lightly.
Some examples:
1. Zhongli (40 energy): 53,243 --> 56,765 (+6.6% actual increase in dmg)
2. Tartaglia (60 energy): 45,162 --> 49,289 (+9.1% actual increase in dmg)
3. Xingqiu (80 energy) per rainsword dmg: 4105 --> 4578 (+11.5% actual increase in dmg)
My Verdict:
1. I truly enjoy playing with Raiden. She's been very fun and has one of the most satisfying burst in the game (on par with Zhongli's meteor). She's a great assett to the team, and can restore energy to everyone. For context. at burst lv. 10 and 209% energy recharge, she can restore a total of 21 energy during her 7 second burst.
2. Her design.. especially with her kimono/yukata from the back. 100/100!
3. I would've rated her with perfecto score if only her synergy with Beidou is fixed. I hope Mihoyo can listen. Her Constellation 1 enforces you to use electro character even more, yet, Beidou's burst doesn't work together.
4. Recommended teammates:
- National team: Raiden, Xingqiu, Xiangling, bennett
- Phys superconduct: Raiden, Eula, diona, bennett
- Electrocharged team: Raiden, Mona, Sucrose/Kazuha, Bennett
- Max Dmg for Raiden as Main DPS: Raiden, Kazuha/Sucrose, Bennett, Kujou Sara (I actually tried doing similar team with Zhongli instead of Sucrose, with 3 buff cards in the spiral abyss, floor 12 chamber 3 against perpetual mechanical array, at full stack, I did 227.000 on my initial slash burst.. But this is a bit unrealistic since I got +20% attack 2 times and Crit rate/dmg buff cards along the way.
- Overload team: Yoimiya/Hutao, Raiden, Xingqiu, Xiangling
- Tartaglia Tazer: Zhongli, Raiden, Tartaglia, Fischl/Beidou (only use beidou's ult if you are going to use Tartaglia, not before Raiden's burst)
5. I wish everyone who wants Raiden to get her before her last banner day tomorrow!
