Hoyo, it’s late 2026—why on earth is multiplayer inaccessible when starting certain quests, even after leaving the quest area?
I completed two of the "Eye of Graeae" quests, and as soon as I finished the second one, the third started automatically. In the area where the second quest took place, multiplayer was unavailable the entire time, though it was available outside that zone. After finishing the second quest, I immediately returned to Shenzenograd and discovered that multiplayer was still unavailable—this was due to the third quest that started automatically. I haven't even visited the area for the third quest yet, but now I have to finish it before the current event ends in three days, because it’s a multiplayer event.
This isn't the first time I've started a quest and found multiplayer disabled—even when I wasn't anywhere near the quest area. Why? What’s so difficult about not disabling multiplayer across the entire world just because of a quest taking place in one specific location?
