4.9 Beta Guides
Hi, Marisa Honkai here. In this guide, we will discuss the new gacha Lightning stigma added in 4.9 - Moonwatcher set: Wang Zhenyi. Zhenyi is made for Fischl - a Lightning support that can deal impactful damage. As such, Zhenyi has both DPS and support buffs, similar to Shuijing stigma, so I will split the evaluation into DPS and support sections.
✦ ZHENYI DATA
Wang Zhenyi (T) - Rod Calculus - ATK 113
Lightning DMG increases by 45%. On hit, weapon actives grant Mitternacht status and restore 10 SP. Mitternacht lasts 12s and has a 15s CD.
Wang Zhenyi (M) - Algebra
Host and her summoned entities deal 15% bonus Total DMG. Switching out ends Mitternacht and boosts Lightning DMG dealt by team members and summoned entities by 15% for 18s. Triggering it again resets the duration (cannot stack).
Wang Zhenyi (B) - Lunar Eclipse - ATK 66
Elemental DMG increases by 25%. Weapon actives make enemies hit take 20% bonus Lightning DMG for 20s. Triggering it again resets the duration.
2-pc - Astronomer
Total DMG increases by 25%. Host deals 30% bonus Lightning DMG within 12s after her entry.
3-pc - Female Pioneer
Weapon skills and Ultimate deal 25% bonus Lightning DMG. Fischl equip bonus: Casting QTE during Mitternacht boosts Total DMG dealt by team members and summoned entities by 45% for 20s. Triggering it again resets the duration.
✦ ZHENYI EVALUATION - DPS
Zhenyi DPS on Hawk of the Fog, Fallen Rosemary and Darkbolt Jonin
Highest Multipliers: ZhenyiTB BenaresM beats the other set. It's also the only set with Lightning Vulnerability and SP recovery.
Other Combinations: ZhenyiTM has no Lightning Vulnerability, Zhenyi TM loses 45% Lightning DMG. These options are still good tho.
Mid Stigma: Other middle stigmas to replace Benares M: Mei M, Fuxi M, Rebel M, etc
DPS Check and Score Comparison
✦ CONCLUSION
- ZhenyiTB Benares M is the new winner of Lightning Stigma.
- R.I.P Goemon at least you're f2p farmable G3 now[emoji]
✦ GAMEPLAY EXAMPLE
- Fallen Rosemary 31786 Dark Jixuanyuan [Bilibili]
- Fallen Rosemary 31840 Parvati [Bilibili]
- Hawk of the Fog 31680 BK [Bilibili]
- Hawk of the Fog 31733 Hellmaru [Bilibili]
- Darkbolt Jonin 31840 Parvati [Bilibili]
- Darkbolt Jonin 744 Husk 385 D [Bilibili]
Zhenyi DPS on Herrscher of Thunder
QTE/Weapon Skill: ZhenyiTB BenaresM has a higher multiplier than Benares Set
Combo/Burst Mode: ZhenyiTB BenaresM multipliers are close to Benares Set. However, the Thunderblitz effect gives more damage.
SP recovery: Zhenyi has way longer SP recovery cooldown (15s) than Benares (6s). Definitely not suitable for long fights.
Herrscher of Thunder DPS Check and Score Comparison
✦ CONCLUSION
- Benares SET is still the best general set for Herrscher of Thunder.
- For quick kills that don't involve the use of Bombard, ZhenyiTB BenaresM is stronger for Herrscher of Thunder. This mostly applies to high-end Arena Mode for top players with S-rank++ HoT.
✦ GAMEPLAY EXAMPLES
- S-rank Herrscher of Thunder 31733 BK [Bilibili]
- SS-rank Herrscher of Thunder 31786 BK [Bilibili]
- SSS Herrscher of Thunder 31893 Parvati [Bilibili]
✦ ZHENYI EVALUATION - SUPPORT
Zhenyi support is similar to Shuijing in the sense that it is made for a support valk that can deal impactful damage (Sub-DPS). In 4.9, there are two Lightning supports that fulfil that role - Fischl and Fallen Rosemary with Helheim PRI-ARM
Reminder: Team buffs usually affect the host too
✦ For Fischl
- Zhenyi is the best stigma for Fischl. It has all the buffs she needs - for the team, for herself and for Oz (summoned unit)
- TurgenevTB TeslaBandM is the best substitute for Fischl. It has team and summon buffs, and Oz can extend its duration.
- Irene Adler set is usable on Fischl, but it lacks any multiplier for summoned unit. Also Fischl is usually paired with Fallen Rosemary who uses Irene. Let FR keep her Irene, ok?
✦ For Fallen Rosemary
- With Helheim PRI-ARM, Fallen Rosemary has become a support that can deal good damage. Irene Set is perfect for FR. It has a balanced spread of multipliers for the team and herself, the duration is long and the trigger conditions are perfect for FR.
- Zhenyi multipliers are good. Keep in mind only Fischl can activate 45% Team TDM. It requires weapon skill to activate the buffs, and Helheim weapon skill CD probably can’t keep up in fast rotations.
- Turgenev is the best substitute. Team buffs are good and the duration can easily be extended with FR high hit-count skills.
✦ GAMEPLAY EXAMPLE
- Fischl support S-rank Herrscher of Thunder 771 Husk 388 D [Bilibili]
- Fischl support Darkbolt Jonin 673 Husk 445 D [Bilibili]
- Fischl support S-rank Herrscher of Thunder 638 BK 395 D [Bilibili]
✦ ZHENYI SUPPORT - SINGLE PIECES
- Zhenyi B can be used on any support with weapon skill. The duration is long (20s) compared to Newton B
✦ CONCLUSION and SHOULD YOU PULL?
In conclusion, Wang Zhenyi is a top-tier Lightning stigma. It's currently the best Lightning DPS stigma for Hawk of the Fog, Darkbolt Jonin, and Fallen Rosemary. It's also the best Lightning support stigma for Fischl.
HOWEVER, we already have a farmable G3 Goemon, and as for Lightning support, we have a lot of them - Azure Empyrea, Blood Dance, DP Kikaku, etc. Basically, Zhenyi is not a top priority for most players and if you're pulling Zhenyi, it's either because you don't have good Lightning gear, wanna skip all the farming OR you just want to take your Lightning teams to the next level.
There's more! In 4.9, Wang Zhenyi is available in Outworld Quest supply which guarantees you to get full Zhenyi set and Mitternacht Waltz Bow set in just 120 pulls! We got free 10 Paimon cards, so you only need at most 30,800 crystal to get a full Zhenyi! Wow! What a deal!
