4.9 Beta Guides
Hi, Marisa Honkai here, and this is Honkai Impact 4.9 Tier List - Hoyolab Edition! We got two big additions in 4.9 - the Prinzessin from Teyvat - Fischl and the new DPS Fallen Rosemary, thanks to her new PRI-ARM Iris of Helheim! Two new bosses are here as well - Dominator of Wolves and Nihilus Husk - Blockade. Let’s see how much the tier lists have shifted.
[This tier list outlines which valkyries are used often in getting top placements in EX Abyss and EX Arena. I use Top 3 RedLotus / 2% Arena as the baseline, with Top 100 EX Abyss and T100 EX Arena as their maximum potential. Most DPS are judged as S-rank unless a specific rank is shown in the pic, which indicates that they are/were farmable.]
★ 4.9 Boss List
This tier list also considers the bosses that appear in CN server. Global/SEA server has been following the list accurately for the past several versions.
★ NEW: DPS Fallen Rosemary (SS-rank)
- The combination of Fallen Rosemary's new rank-up skills and the new PRI-ARM [Iris of the Helheim] has tremendously improved FR’s damage output.
- In Arena, FR can get a 2-3s kill on a lot of bosses such as Parvati, Tonatiuh, Andrius, etc with a full gear team.
This even scales well with cheaper gear, as shown in this vid.
- Just to be clear, this is just an optional strategy with FR. Herrscher of Thunder is still better in both Abyss and Arena. FR also doubles as support with good damage for HoT now!
✧ For these reasons, DPS Rosemary is placed at S-rank.
★ Starcham Nyx - Herrscher of Reason
- I said in the previous tier list that I’ll consider putting Nyx in EX tier, replacing Herrscher of Reason.
- After a thorough discussion with other players, we agreed that Nyx boss coverage is a little different and more niche than HoR.
- Nyx also needs a lot of investment to get generally high scores, meanwhile, HoR only needs herself and her PRI-ARM to start road killing enemies. Nyx can work with Skadi and Ana if you’re not too competitive.
✧ For these reasons, Nyx remains at SS tier and HoR remains at EX tier.
★ Swallowtail Phantasm
- Lack of Couatl is Abyss has put Swallowtail Phantasm back down to S-rank
- Disturbance has increased to the point that Nyx will perform better than Swallowtail Phantasm, even at Red Lotus.
★ Blood Rose
- Blood Rose’s only grip was on Heimdal Abyss, but now, even Dea Anchora can beat her in Red Lotus. It’s not worth it anymore to gear her.
- Heimdal also doesn't appear in 4.9, further justifying her descend into benched tier
- EXTRA: In 5.0, a certain PSY Fire battlesuit will become the queen of Fire DPS~
MOONLIGHT CENTER RECOMMENDED BATTLESUITS
The HI3 CN community team, a.k.a Moonlight Center, has given permission for me to upload their battlesuit recommendation list, which is kinda like a tier list too. It shows a valk recommended equipment sets and its best match-ups. [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE IMAGE]
★ NEW! Fallen Rosemary
- The new PRI-ARM [Iris of the Helheim] has tremendously improved FR’s support capability. She can pause stage timer, her actions are faster and her multipliers are bigger. She's so strong she can even shave a whole HP bar of Bright Knight boss in Abyss!
- All these improvements made FR a way better option than Blood Dance. She requires at least S1-rank as support but I recommend pushing her to SS-rank.
★ NEW! Fischl
- A f2p [Fischl] is a fine Lightning support - she can immediately apply 40% Lightning Vulnerability with her QTE, and provide team Lightning buff on Ultimate.
- With Mitternachs and Zhenyi, Fischl can provide significant off-field damage while buffing the team. Pair her together with FR to create a powerful support-dps team for HoT.
- In 4.9, her damage and high hit-count attacks are especially useful against New Husk in Abyss. She can also be used against Dominator of Wolves in Arena.
