With Kokomi released I updated my Archons and Visions theory. A really really early thought that gives me about our journey into Fontaine is that we'll find ourselves in an indulgent world. The people will think highly of themselves and their Archon and believe they are better off than the rest of the people of Teyvat. The fact that we know Fontaine is technologically advanced pushes this idea further.
The Archon just like Ei will have direct control over Fontaine and she might act through a department like Ei did through the Tenryou. They will run a "courtroom" and place people on trial where they'll have to prove their innocence against what the court accuses them of. The Archon will believe this is "justice." As it relates to the second part of what Dainsleif says in Travail "But even she knows not to make an enemy of the divine" I think she'll be using this courtroom to falsely accuse those that she fears will violate the Heavenly Principles. The unjust justice she brings is what caused the Oceanids to leave Fontaine and reject her.
And that's where the new characters come in. Mona was our first Fontaine character but thanks to Travail we also see Lyney and Lynette. There's an idea that their costumes resemble magicians. I want to push that a little further.
Judging from Travail Lyney and Lynette feel like both magicians and cat burglars. It could be that if this courtroom idea plays out that Lyney and Lynette are part of a resistance helping the falsely accused. In the story we might end up needing their help. And that'll give us plenty of screen time with that mask of ours.
