Elysian Realm Guide - Midnight Absinthe

Hello! This guide will cover the Elysian Realm performance of one of the new battlesuits, Midnight Absinthe, who I will refer to as Raven. I'll only be looking at Elysian Realm and related features in this guide, so this won't apply to other game systems.

Basic Summary
Raven is an IMG-type Fire damage dealer, with two distinct playstyles and thus gets two summary graphics.

Special Adjustments
Every character has certain special adjustments in Elysian Realm to make it both easier for newer players to use them and to allow them to fight solo in the realm.
Midnight Absinthe's Special Adjustments are:
- Valkyrie stats and skill level are adjusted to Lv. 80 equivalent
This is the same for all Elysian Realm valkyries, to put them on a level playing field.
- Passive effect is replaced by: Every 5 stacks of Night Roamer increases Valkyrie's Fire DMG by 5%. Night Roamer Stacks can last.
The regular passive is as follows:

The Realm bonus thus increases how long Night Roamer lasts, from 10s to until the Ult is used. It also adds a 5% Fire DMG bonus at 5 stacks.
- On hit, Sequence 2 of Charged ATK restores 50 HP for every 5 feather arrows, feather blades and feathers recovered.
This offers some nice survivability, though not much. At 20 feathers, this would heal 200HP, and at 30 with Blessing of Suppression would heal 300. Raven also has a passive where enemies drop HP healing coins when they're killed, which can also provide similar survivability.
- Only one Raven Cloud can be present. Summoning again will clear the existing one.
Since most battles in the realm are short, with small arenas, and Blessing of Ominous Mist can vaporize Raven Clouds, this shouldn't matter too much.

Exclusive Signets
Raven's exclusive signets are split between buffing Ultimate and Night Roamer stacks. She also has one buffing evasions, but as she can't perform them on demand, it's not the most helpful.
Blessing of Suppression

Upgrade bonus: Night Roamer boosts Fire DMG by 20% instead of 15%
Blessing of Ominous Mist

Upgrade bonus: Raven Cloud explodes for 7500% DMG instead of 6500%
Blessing of Wild Hunt

Upgrade bonus: ATKs deal 180% DMG instead of 150%
Blessing of Arrowhead

Upgrade bonus: Weapon Actives restore 30 SP instead of 24 SP
Blessing of Raven Plume

Upgrade bonus: Enemies' ATK lowered by 75% instead of 60%; Valkyrie's ATKs do 35% bonus DMG instead of 25%

Recommended Signets
Raven has 2 distinct playstyles, with different signet recommendations for both.
One is the charged attack build, involving cycling between charged attacks to replenish Night Roamer and follow up attacks to spend them.
The other is the Ult build, which gives heavy burst damage after using the Ult.
(These recommendations are just what I personally found fun, feel free to experiment and put your own recommendations in the comments below!)
Charged Attack Build
- Exclusive Signets -
Most important:
Blessing of Wild Hunt > Blessing of Suppression
Wild Hunt is the backbone of this build, providing good damage and basically a way to loop attacks. Using the charge attack converts all feathers to Night Roamer stacks, and the follow up attack places more feathers, at the cost of Night Roamer stacks. With the spread shot of the attack and the damage bonus from the signet, this can be very effective in clearing out mobs.
Blessing of Suppression basically allows you to fit in one extra follow up attack within the loop. Combined with the healing from Raven's special adjustment passive, the frequency that you collect feathers should sustain you well.
Second choice:
Blessing of Ominous Mist > Blessing of Arrowhead
These two signets are more Ult focused, and thus don't have much of a place in this build. They are still good though, so if you get the chance, you should take them. The high damage from Ominous Mist should help a lot against bosses.
Last choice:
Blessing of Raven Plume
As mentioned earlier, since Raven has no way to trigger her ultimate evasion on demand, this signet is essentially useless. Even if you do regularly evade attacks, the buffs from this signet are not worth it compared to all the others.
- Flame Chaser Signets -
Su
Since this build is mostly attack focused, and not Ult or evasion, a lot of the usual Flame-Chasers can't really help much. Su is one exception though, as attacks allow you to rack up combo hits. Raven doesn't have the fastest attacks, but the feathers count as separate hits so she can make good use of Su's signets.
Eden
This Raven build doesn't need to use SP, which allows Eden's buffs for every 10 remaining SP to be useful. Getting SP regen together with the core is also not bad, as Raven gets a good amount of SP every time she recovers feathers (from SS rank). Even without Ominous Mist, the Ult still does good damage and provides a damage boost, so it could be worth using anyways.
Hua
Hua's core with [Resolve] is always a good choice. Despite her small amounts of HP regen, she is still quite squishy, so to keep you from dying, Hua is recommended. Casting charged attacks also leaves you quite vulnerable.
- Playstyle -
Start with a charged attack to easily cast a follow up attack. This generates feathers faster than normal attacks do, so it's preferred.
Once 20 feathers are on the ground (2 follow ups), use another charge attack to pick them up. Repeat.
- Support Valkyries -
VC for gather, BKE for DPS/Invincibility
- Remembrance Sigils -
Less important as specific signets aren't important, just try to have Hua's core + [Resolve] at the end

Ult Build
- Exclusive Signets -
Most important:
Blessing of Ominous Mist > Blessing of Arrowhead
Ominous Mist allows Raven's already strong Ult to do even more damage, and increases the AoE. The explosion can one-hit most normal enemies, and does a good fraction of boss' HP.
Arrowhead provides SP regen and CD reduction when using the weapon skill, which works well as that's what's needed to trigger the explosion. This does have a cooldown though, so you can't spam it.
Second choice:
Blessing of Wild Hunt > Blessing of Suppression
These are good to have during the downtime between the ults, and playstyle + reasoning is similar to the Charge attack build.
Last choice:
Blessing of Raven Plume
Same as with the Charge attack build, this signet is basically useless.
- Flame Chaser Signets -
Kevin
Because this build involves a single heavy hit that can be done soon after casting the ult, Kevin's signets can be very useful. The explosion takes a few seconds to trigger though, so use it early to make sure it gets buffed. For a bit of allowance, you can get the enhanced signet to increase the duration.
Eden
If you're unable to get Blessing of Arrowhead, Eden's signets are a good way to get SP. Though because of the various cooldowns (20s for Ult, 4s for the Raven Cloud explosion, 10s for weapon skills), you can't really spam the Ult even if you had the SP to.
Hua
The reasoning for this is similar to the Charge attack build, but since your damage mostly comes from a single attack, you can spend more time dodging. This allows Hua's buffs to be even more useful.
- Playstyle -
Attack until you have the SP for an Ult
Use VC support, then Ult and weapon skill
Repeat
- Support Valkyries -
Early Game: VC for gather, LE for SP
Late Game: VC for gather, BKE for DPS or LE for SP
Final Boss: AE for support, BKE for DPS/Invincibility
- Remembrance Sigils -
Early Game: [Burden] or [Abandoned] for more/better Kevin signets
Late Game: [Gold Goblet] or [Memory] for Eden or Hua signets
Final Boss: [Resolve] for invincibility

Sorry this one's a bit later than usual, I spent the last week playing the new Genshin update instead of beta testing >-<"
Raven took me the longest to figure out out of the new valks, but she's pretty fun. Try and rank her up to SS at least for the SP regen.
