Introduction
Jade Knight is a PSY-Type ICE DMG S Rank Valkyrie that uses gauntlets as her weapon. She is an Ice support type character that brings a lot on the table, from ice DMG buffs, elemental breach and even shield breaking buffs.

Skills & Passives
Jade Knight’s leader skill provides Ice DMG for the entire team, if all team members are Ice DMG dealers, she also provides a TDM buff to Basic, Combo and Charged ATKs to all team members.
At S0 Rank, you might want to pick your main DPS leader skill instead as majority of the time they provide better buffs. However, since she is farmable, on higher ranks (SS3), this leader skill may compete on providing higher raw damage output.
At the start of the battle, Jade Knight will have an Initial 120 SP if her SP is less than 120. This will only proc once per run and every 10 minutes in open world.
She can also deal off field damage whenever a team member casts a weapon skill or does Combo or Charged Attack. This is very important for triggering effects like Newton B, Mei Beach or Turgenev.
Blade Sanction
Jade Knight generates Blade Sanctions whenever she performs a QTE or basic attack. This is represented by a blade bar above her HP. You can only have a maximum of 200 Blade Sanctions at any time. At 200 Blade Sanctions, by holding ATK, she will enter Sword Array Mode where she unlocks an entirely different moveset.
Basic Attack
Jade Knight have 4 Sequence of Basic attacks and two ways to execute them. Tapping ULT let's her perform narrow, long-range thrusts while tapping ATK performs wide swings. Both actions generate 20 Blade Sanctions on hit for the first 3 Sequence and 60 Blade Sanctions on the 4th Hit.
Sword Array Mode
Holding ATK at 200 Blade Sanctions will cast Wild Swords and activate Sword Array. Wild Swords is an AoE attack that deals damage and gathers all enemies in range on the center. During Sword Array, you unlock the
following moveset:
Cloud Cutter: Tap ATK to generate flying swords that deal ice DMG.
Bolt Slash: Tap ULT to dash through enemies dealing ice DMG.
Back Wind Slash: Tap ATK after performing three Bolt Slashes. Deals ice DMG, restores 20 SP and increase team’s ranged non-burst ice DMG for 10s.
Airy Shadow: Tap EVA to blink between swords.
Heart Piercer: Hold ATK to deal ice DMG, cause 3s global time fracture and end Sword Array. You can freely switch characters during this animation.
Ultimate
Holding ULT at 150 SP or more will cast her Ultimate. You can spend up to 25 more SP to provide 1% Ice DMG buff to all team members for 18s for every 1 extra SP spent (maximum of 25% ice dmg buff at 175 SP cost). Her Ultimate will give elemental breach for 18s, and at SS Rank she also provides a 25% Shield break buff for 18s.
Gameplay
Jade Knight works well as a support for your ice team together with Pardofelis. As shown earlier, her kit provides a lot of buffs for the team. However, you need to be familiar on how to execute these buffs as well as where she fits in the rotation.
QTE
There are three ways to activate her QTE. Combo, Charged Attacks and Ultimate. After entering via QTE, she will cast Wild Swords and enter with full Blade Sanction and Sword Array activated. This is very important for a smooth in and out transition.
Back Wind slash
Back wind Slash is a combo atk that gives 40% (50% at SS2) ice DMG to the team’s Ranged Attacks outside burst mode for 10s while also providing 20 SP for Jade Knight. This can be performed in two ways. First, casting weapon active with her signature weapon can immediately connect to Back Wind Slash by tapping ATK. Second, after performing three Bolt Slashes you can connect to Back Wind Slash.
Rotation
You must always enter with Jade Knight via QTE as her QTE is easy to trigger and it streamlines the rotation. It also reduces the switch CD of the exiting character.
After entering via QTE, cast weapon active if you have her signature weapon to connect to Back Wind Slash, then cast her ultimate. Afterwards Hold ATK to exit Sword Array mode and switch to the next character. If you are using Cosmic Duality, you can just cast Ultimate after weapon active.
If you are SP Farming or you want to save your Ultimate, you can perform three bolt slashes instead, connecting to Back Wind Slash and then exit by holding ATK and switching to the next character. This will buff Ranged Attack DMG like HoHE or HoR's Charged Attack.
Teammates
Jade Knight will be a staple for most Ice team comps because of the wide variety of buffs that she provides to the team. Ice DPS that does Ranged ATK can also benefit a lot from her Back Wind Slash. Running a three-support setup with her as a DPS is also an option, however not as effective. These are some team comp examples.
Gear Options
Weapon
Her best in slot weapon would be Nocturnal Stealth: Beam as this weapon provides Jade Knight with her needed SP while also buffing her Combo ATK and providing Ice DMG and TDM for the team. It can also immediately connect to Back Wind Slash after casting the weapon skill, this provides her with more SP while also buffing the team outside burst rotations.
A good alternative weapon for her if you don’t own her signature weapon would be Cosmic Duality. Although this weapon doesn’t provide as much buffs as her signature weapon, it still provides SP for Sushang which is something she needs.
Stigmata
For a support Jade Knight, her best in slot for providing raw damage to your Ice DPS would be Sushang TB and Mei Beach M. Because of her ability to deal off field damage, she can easily and consistently trigger Mei Beach M’s effect. Meanwhile, if you ever need more Shield Break buffs you should equip a full set of Sushang Stigmata as the 3 pc. Set bonus provides 50% shield break.
Here is a list of other support stigmatas that she can equip and how does each compare to Sushang set.
*Note that these charts are tested by calculating the overall damage of HoHE using different Jade Knight support stigmatas. This does not equate to Jade knights personal DPS output.
If you want to use her as a DPS, it is strongly recommended to get her full Sushang set as it gives her all the
benefit a support Jade Knight will provide, while also giving her high Ice DMG buff with the middle piece. Alternatively, you can also use full Willows set on her.
Summary
Jade Knight is a PSY-Type ICE DMG S rank support Valkyrie. She provides Ice DMG buffs, elemental breach and shield break buffs. She works fine at S0 but you’ll want to reach at least SS rank to unlock her shield break buff and increased elemental breach.
Weapon
Nocturnal Stealth: Beam is heavily recommended but Cosmic Duality works as well.
Stigmata
Full Sushang Set or Sushang TB/Mei Beach M are best in slots stigmata for Jade Knight. Other alternative Stigmata will be Turgenev, Irene Adler and Margrave.

Teammates
Replaces Haxxor Bunny as the staple ice support on majority of the bosses. Works really well when paired with Reverist Calico together with your chosen Ice DPS.
