✹ INTRODUCTION ✹
Today we will be looking at the mechanics of the newly added S-Rank Battlesuit [Jade Knight].
She is a hybrid PSY-type Ice Support.
She is a First user but uses a long sword for close combat or generates flying swords for ranged attacks.
She provides off-field damage, a devastating Ice breach, shield break buffs, and more!
She is also a free Valkyrie which can be farmed.
The card will cost Ancient Willpower and Ancient Legacy x 420 (until patch 6.3) after that period the price will increase to 640.
The fragments will cost Ancient Willpower and Ancient Legacy x 8 with the limit of 6 purchases per week (4 standard and 2 after her rank up to SS).
She is the best support for all ice weather.
At rank SS she will unlock a bonus for shield break, thanks to her type and her team, she will be the best choice against bosses like Kasumi.
✦ Battlesuit overview
[Jade Knight] is easy to use and has a fast rotation. She also has some slightly more articulated but unnecessary skills, which makes her extremely flexible and you can choose to use them according to your needs.
She is limited by the large consumption of SP and to save time she needs to upgrade her ability (rank up) or get the right weapons.
It's better to upgrade [Jade Knight] to at least SS-rank to provide all important bonuses.

The skills mentioned below are all based on level 80 S-rank [Jade Knight]
✦ Leader Skill - Realm of Taixuan
Leader Skill: All Team members' Basic Combo, and Charge ATKs deal 10% Total DMG. When every team member is an Ice DMG dealer, they deal 24% more Ice DMG.
✦ Passive Skill - Arming Sanction
Jade Knight can gain 200 Blade Sanction at most in combat.
With 200 Blade Sanction, using Combo ATK activates Sword Array mode.
In Sword Array mode, Blade Sanction decreases over time. When it reaches 0, Sword Array mode ends.
She gains 20 Blade Sanction whenever a basic ATK hits.
In Sword Array mode, she consumes 1 Blade Sanction every 0.2s.
✦ Special Attack - Refining Ascension
At full Blade Sanction, hold [ATK] to cast Wild Swords and activate Sword Array mode.
In this mode, Jade Knight stands on flying swords, has a different moveset, gains Iron Body, gains 50% Total DMG Reduction, but can't use certain weapon skills.
Wild Sword: Generate dozens of illusory swords that stab into the ground, dealing 6 x 50% ATK of Ice DMG. The swords form a circle that pulls enemies to its center during a cast.
Cloud Cutter: In Sword Array mode, tap [ATK] to generate 6 flying swords, dealing 6 x 20% ATK of Ice DMG.
Bolt Slash: In Sword Array mode, tap [ULT] to run the sword beneath her feet into enemies, dealing 4 x 30% ATK of Ice DMG. This skill costs 20 Blade Sanction.
Airy Shadow: In Sword Array mode, tap [EVA] to blink between sword arrays.
Heart Piercer: In Sword Array mode, hold [ATK] to congregate all swords behind her and then rush them to the enemies, dealing 14 x 70% ATK of Ice DMG. Casting this skill causes Global Time Fracture for 3s and ends Sword Array mode. You can switch characters during this skill. Jade Knight will stay on the field until the attack ends.
Casting Heart Piercer or switching characters in Sword Array mode exhaust Blade Sanction.
DMG from the skills above count as Combo dmg.
✦ Evasion Skill - Guiding Mantra
Ultimate Evasion Skill: Shoots flying swords, dealing 4 x 75% ATK of Ice DMG. This skill has 2 charges and a 10s CD.
Triggering Ultimate Evasion Skill restores 200 HP and, while outside Sword Array mode, 60 Blade Sanction.
While outside Sword Array mode, you can connect Ultimate Evasion into Fourth Form, Wrath: Roiling/Ripstone by tapping [ATK] or [ULT].
✦ Basic ATK - The Painter and The Knight
It compromises 4 sequences: Opening, Transform, Guard and Wrath, which can be cast with [ATK] and [ULT]. Opening and Wrath vary based on the ƅutton pressed.
First Form, Opening: Odious Crescent: Tap [ATK] to deal 60% ATK of Ice DMG.
First Form, Opening: Onslaught: Tap [ULT] to deal 3 x 20% ATK of Ice DMG.
Second Form: Transforming Blade: Deals 2 x 120% ATK of Ice DMG.
Third Form: Guarding Blade: Deals 4 x 120% ATK of Ice DMG.
Fourth Form, Wrath: Roiling: Tap [ATK] during Third Form to deal 400% ATK of Ice DMG. During its animation, she gains Iron Body.
Fourth Form, Wrath: Ripstone: Tap [ULT] during Guard Form to deal 400% ATK of Ice DMG. During its animation, she gains Iron Body.
*ap [ULT] during Fourth Form, Wrath: Roiling or [ATK] during Fourth Form, Wrath: Ripstone to connect into Third Form: Guarding Blade. During the latter's animation, she gains Iron Body.
✦ QTE Skill - Crowing Eminence
QTE: Triggered when an enemy is damaged by teammate's Combo or Charge ATK or a teammate casts Ultimate. Jade Knight enters by using Wild Swords, with Blade Sanction fully recovered and Sword Array mode activated, dealing 6 x 150% ATK of Ice DMG. The switched-out character's switch CD is shortened to 4s. On QTE entry, Wild Swords causes Time Fracture for 3s and deals 60% more Ice DMG.
Ultimate Skill - Crowing Eminence
SP: 150 | CD: 20s
Condense the Qi of Taixuan into a sky-reaching sword, then swing it with the force of splitting the world apart.
Hold [ULT] to release it, dealing 1800% ATK of Ice DMG. During the release, she is invincible, and all skill and stage timers are paused.
✹ LINEUP ✹
✦ Recommended Lineups
Jade Knight provides the biggest buff to the Herrscher of Human team. Thanks to Sushang's high SP consumption she can trigger HoH passive skill, from which she receives charges that increase her TDM.
HoR, SW and AKA also love the addition of Sushang for providing long lasting buffs, shield break and ice breach.
Only Nyx unfortunately doesn't work well with Sushang because she heavily relies on HB for providing hits and Felis because of SP regeneration.
So her team remains unchanged for most bosses.
The only benefit she can gain out of Sushang is by replacing AE when fighting QUA type bosses.

◆ After the v6.1 update you can get her Equipment through Focused supply.
[Jade Knight]'s equipment will be guaranteed in 200 pulls total (50 pulls per piece), with one free multi (10 free pulls).
Many sets work on [Jade Knight], thanks also to her swords which deal off-field damage, but they hardly come close to the performance of her signature set.

This test was done with only one rotation, with more rotations Sushang would take some advantage, as long as her gear permits her to have enough sp.

✹ CONCLUSION ✹
Should you invest in Jade Knight?
Depends!
If you plan on getting all of her gear she will be worth the investment but if you are missing the crucial pieces of her equipment, which are her signature weapon and B piece stigmata, then she won't be much of an improvement to HB.
However, she is a farmable Valkyrie which means she can be ranked up over time which will increase her performance significantly.
Furthermore ranking her up is necessary because she gains a big increase at SS rank, so this rank should be your goal to reach.
If you already have a fully geared Felis and HB it might not be necessary to get Sushang for now, especially at S rank she performs about the same as HB.
The difference between HB and Sushang might increase as the Disturbance in Abyss rises.
