Introduction

HI3 v6.0 Introduces the new weapon Nocturnal Stealth : Beam. This is a gauntlet type weapon which provides ice damage bonuses to the wielder and the team. This weapon is designed for the latest valkyrie joining us in v6.1 that is Jade Knight (will be referred to as JK in the article). In further section I would like to provide more details and insights into this weapon, its use cases, stats and other details.

Weapon Details

This is the PRI arm version of the weapon Nocturnal Stealth. Captains can forge this weapon once they have unlocked the base weapon.

Weapon skill

Hidden Nightrunner

- SP : 0

- CD : 18s

- Wield a wave of Splitting edge towards target

- Deals 800% ATK of ice damage and forming a line of torrents that last 25s.

- Triggering it again resets the duration.

While torrent is on the field, it produces a wave each time a target takes ice damage

- Deals 100% ATK of ice damage, up to 5 waves

- Torrents CD: 2s

JK Equip Bonus

- Casting weapon active skill in Sword Array mode, she immediately connects with Back Wind Slash

Skinning Moon

- After using weapon skill team deals 20% more ice damage for 22s

- This buff cannot stack

- Triggering it again resets the duration

JK Equip bonus

- Recover 12.0SP each time Torrent produces wave. CD:2s

Quiet Shade

- Ice damage dealt by combo attacks increases by 20%

- Total damage dealt by team increases by 10% (cannot stack)

Acquisition methods

Focused Supply : The Focused Supply banner of Nocturnal Stealth will be available after update 6.1 hits. Captains can use their crystals and Focused Supply cards to get the weapon from this banner. Nocturnal Stealth is the uprate weapon this banner. After unlocking the weapon, captains can craft the PRI arm version Nocturnal Stealth : Beam by using PRI mats in forge. Materials required are listed in the image

Weapon Comparison

In this section I'll go over other weapons that can be used on JK and how they compare to Nocturnal Stealth : Beam

The above image shows all the weapons that I will be using to test the damage output of the weapon in dps test stage of Beta.

For sake of equalizing stigmata stats, all the sets that are used in test runs have the same affix values with same support gear. Rotation is as shown in the video below. Values have been averaged over multiple runs and captains should take these values as estimation.

Actual values may differ based on rotation and boss mechanics.

Comparison table

Note : DPS Tests do not show the SP difference and mechanic difference that arises as a result of it

- Nocturnal Stealth :Beam still has highest SP regen (60SP) and other gauntlets apart from Nebulous cannot even try to keep rotations

- Non Nocturnal stealth :Beam rotations are bad because players cannot queue JK combo for SP, which significantly increases rotation time

An example of other gauntlets, the combo has lots of SP regen for JK, Hence important in long fights.

Hope this data provides captain with a better understanding of the weapon, other alternatives etc

Authors Impressions

Based on the data provided above Nocturnal Stealth : Beam is important on JK. It is recommended captains try to get the weapon which is optimal for JK. Captains experience will not be the same without this weapon because of the issues mentioned above with SP and rotation speed, Hence overall JK experience will be quite bad
