Starting off we will be taking a glance at Li Sushang's signature set, Shenzhou Reminiscence.

This set's main appeal is its ability to bolster Ice Damage dealing Valkyries to their maximum potential!

Top

Stats - [379 HP] + [110 ATK] + [88 DEF]

- Total damage +10%

- Upon landing combo ATK, boost the team’s ice damage by 30% for 12 seconds

Cannot stack but can be refreshed 

Middle 

Stats - [458 HP] + [289 DEF] + [5 CRT]

- Incoming damage -30% 

- Ice damage dealt by Basic and Combo attacks +50% 

Bottom

Stats - [393 HP] + [59 ATK] + [132 DEF] + [8 CRT]

Activates REINFORCEMENT STATE for 18 seconds after expending 120/150 SP at once during which ice damage dealt by the team increased by 30%/55% respectively. This effect cannot stack but can be refreshed.

2 Set Bonus

-During REINFORCEMENT STATE, when the team deals ice damage,

add 1 stack of Menacing Sword Ki, up to a max of 10 stacks.

- Every stack increases the target’s incoming Ice Damage by 1%.

Jade Knight equip bonus:

- Increases the max stacks to 12 

- If the Bottom piece is part of the 2 set, triggering a QTE can activate the

150 SP version of the Reinforce state for the same duration.

Unsure if this effect is exclusive to Sushang.

3 Set Bonus

Max stacks increase to 15 stacks.

Enemies affected by Menacing Sword Ki receive extra ticks of ice damage dealing 30% ATK of Ice Damage every second.

Increase the team’s shield breaking efficiency by 50%

2. Importance Ranking

As with most modern support sets, the bottom piece is paramount for this set. Without it, Shenzhou Reminiscence would be nothing more than an inferior damage boosting set.

As such the priority would be B >>> T > M

The top price provides the most utility after B and fulfil’s the 2 set requirement needed to properly support. However, M and B is also an acceptable combo since that also fulfils the 2 set requirement. 

The full set effect is a substantial boost against shielded bosses like Yae Kasumi, Herrscher of the Void and any boss in the future with a shield mechanic!

3. Users 

Li Sushang

Since Shenzhou Reminiscence is her signature set, Sushang capitalises on this set's effect for both her personal damage and team utility. Paired with the character below, which we will get to in a sec, she can reliably QTE and cast her ultimate every rotation thanks to their synergy. Sushang being free means you can invest all your crystals into the set without worrying about reserving 28k for the Valkyrie!!

Pardofelis 

Although Shenzhou Reminiscence loses to Bastet and on some occasions, Turgenev, Pardo can make use of it against bosses immune to freeze or are freeze resistant. She will, however, need to QTE in, and depending on the team, that would require the main damage dealer to either freeze or proc global time fracture.

Thankfully those conditions are fairly easy to meet for the current roster of Ice Valks, making this set somewhat of a consideration if Sushang is somehow locked.

4. Alternatives

Turgenev 

The Middle piece is replaceable with Jin Shengtan or Mei Beach Party since Sushang lacks summoned entities.

Turgenev also sports Sushang's quickswap option and her ability to reactivate stigmata effects off the field allows Turgenev's duration to be prolonged.

Margrave Set 

Margrave’s effects are locked behind her ultimate, meaning Sushang would have to use her Ultimate for every rotation to avoid losing damage.

Irene Adler Top and Bottom + Jin Shengtan Middle

As with Margrave, Sushang can only trigger Irene Adler’s Effect Through her ultimate as she only performs combo attacks; Irene’s other activation method is charged attacks.

Classical Poet and Physicist Set - Jin Shengtan Top and Middle + Newton Bottom

Another quick swap alternative thanks to Sushang's ability to reactivate on-hit effects via her swords. JST also happens to be ice oriented, truly an icing on the cake owo.

Gluttonous Beach Physicist 

Same deal with the JST build: Sushang's ability to reactivate stigmata effects while on standby makes this a staple option for temporary use. 

Gluttonous Musician

For very early game, the following build would suffice. No need to upgrade any of the Musician pieces as they become obsolete rather quickly

Note:

With the extra shield breaking efficiency effect on the 3 set effect, Shenzhou Reminiscence outperforms any alternative set by a large margin against shielded bosses.

5. Affixing

One thing to note with this set is the SP EXPENDITURE REQUIREMENT alongside Sushang’s own SP cost requirement of 180 SP. Now it may seem counterintuitive to get SP cost reduction lines, but Sushang will still expend all her SP if she is at 150 or 180 due to how her skills work

With this in mind, having one or two SP cost reduction lines is fine but avoid any more if possible. 

That aside, lines like SP regeneration over time and ATK boosts for PSY or Greatsword and Gauntlet users would be ideal as she contributes sizeable personal damage.

Her SP regen is already insane but having more doesn't hurt :)

6. Acquisition

We’re guaranteed one of Sushang's equipment within 50 rolls and whichever piece you receive from the focused expansion won’t drop on your next guarantee (50 rolls).

As per the normal focused supply, other 4* equipment can also drop.

- Receiving a new featured equipment before 50 will still reset the counter and ensure that you don’t get a duplicate on the next guaranteed item.

[If you get 3 pieces in 30 rolls, then the total amount you'll need to spend for the full set is 80!]

HOWEVER

Sushang's banner during 6.1 will grant one free 10 roll for every captain, reducing the amount of rolls by 2800 crystals! Getting a headstart sure is nice

With that in mind:

- 190 rolls worth of crystals (53200) or expansion supply cards will guarantee every piece of featured equipment for the new Valkyrie. This is very unlikely and condolences go to whoever needs this much.

7. Final Thoughts

As easy as it is to say this set is a must have for augmenting ice teams, it is still a gacha exclusive set. In terms of priority compared to other stigmata sets or weapons, I would rank it higher than Turgenev (which is currently in the Battle Pass shop), Bastet since Pardo can still perform optimally with Turgenev but below something like Cezanne if your physical department needs work - Pardo can also make use of Cezanne B.

Of course, getting Valkyries are usually more important than gears in some cases, e.g. HoS is mandatory for physical teams, especially for players with a well built Pardo and HB, who can suffice in the mean time.
