YAE MIKO

The second phase of 3.2 Patch and bringing back one of the most polarizing Inazuman fox lady back into the limited banner for travelers to grab. With the release of Dendro, electro units have received a massive upgrade, and our mischievous chief editor of yae publishing house is not an exception in that.
in this post I will try to focus on her team comps and rotations in more depth. So let's get into it:
(Make sure you're in dark Mode because i am a complete *di** who made some of the title font in white)
Obligatory disclaimer: My Build recommendation , team comps and reviews are totally based on my experience and knowledge. I am not infallible or perfect. So.........

She has been released back in 2.5 patch, So i am pretty sure most people are already familiar with her talents. That being said, some of you might be new, so here is a brief introduction to her Kit.
NORMAL ATTACKS

1. Pretty standard 3 hit combo normal attacks.
2. Charged attack is pretty unique and can be jump or dash cancelled.
3. If you're planning on using her Normals as on field driver, utilize N2CJ or N2CD combo to have faster combos.
4. For most of my recommended teams she is not an onfield driver, so if you're planning on playing those teams, leave her Normal attack talents alone.
Elemental Skill

1. Upon cast yae "tra la la" in a direction while ****ing out a turret with a fox sitting on top behind.
2. You can control which direction she moves while casting so you can control where she ****s those turrets out.
3. Yes, turrets, she has a total of 3 charges, means she can **** those turrets 3 times.
4. these turrets randomly target an enemy within a huge AOE and strike them with Electro DMG.
5. If the turrets are nearby each other, they will be connected by a trail.
6. The more connected to each other of these turrets are, the higher the damage will be. so you would one them to be in a triangular postion for the highest damage.
7. It has a standard ICD
8. Also, the skill does not snapshot
9. During casting it does not produce any energy, but when the **** turrets hit an enemy, they generate 0-1 particle.
10. The turrets lasts for 14s with 14s cooldown, making it a 100% uptime
Elemental burst

1. She summons a large AOE thunder strike that deals ELectro dmg.
2. Depending upon how many turrets you have on the field, Additional strikes follow the first one dealing Electro Dmg.
3. Each additional strike has No ICD, so each of them can proc reactions
4.Keep in mind when she uses her burst, any turrets that are on field gets destroyed.
5. It has 90 energy cost and 22s Cooldown.
Her burst deals a lot of front loaded damage, but majority of her damage comes from her turrets and it is pretty hard to get her burst very often due to her long Cooldown. Based on that my recommendation of talent level up priority would be:

Passive Talents
A1: The shrine of Sacred Seal
when you cast your burst and the turrets get destroyed, you immediately get back all 3 charges for the turrets.
A4: Enlightened Blessing
for turret's damage increased by Her EM x 0.15%

Now i usually am in the dark when it comes to A 5 star character's constellations, since neither i nor my friends can afford them.
but for yae miko, i did find someone to have a little taste of the C6.
Her C1 is pretty useless, since 8 energy refund on a 90 cost burst feels like throwing a glass of water at a forest fire.
rest of her constellations are pure damage improvement and nothing else, with the C6 taking the cake.
That being said, she is fully functional at C0. If you're not planning on going for her late constellations, i would advice staying away from the early ones as well.

1. I found Gilded dreams set giving her overall best performance through out all teams. So i would recommend that.
2. As for thundering fury, all though the CD reduction mechanism does not really help her much, the reaction damage increases helps her a lot since in most of her teams you're using her to trigger reactions.
3. If you're planning on using her burst in every rotation, emblem set is a must, since you probably have to have a lot of ER% to pull that off.
4. Lastly in mono electro and teams that has a lot of electro aura uptime on enemies, thundersoother is a pretty decent option.
5. But if you do not have a full set, her 2 piece mix and match sets are very closely matched with the full set options. so don't get too discouraged.

1. in term of stat distribution she has not changed much since her 2.5 patch iteration.
2. she still prefers ATK% over EM on Time piece unless you're using her with an Attack buffer like bennet or Kujou Sara.
So you're safest bet will be ATK%.
3. That being said with dendro release EM has increased in value as a stat for her. Especially because of her A4 passive talent. So she will appreciate some EM substats from her artifacts.
4. Also trying to burst every rotation is a pain in my opinion due to too high energy requirement. So focus on getting more offensive stat to deal off field damage with her turrets rather than her burst.

These are my weapon of choice. Some of them should be there with you in your inventory.

Now let's get into the meat of this post. her teams.
From her release back in 2.5 patch, some old teams have stayed viable still now:
Overload

1. This premium team has stayed relevant still due to high front loaded damage by both raiden shogun and yae miko, with the help of bennet and kazuha.
2. in This team actually, yae miko would really appreciate an EM time piece.
3. This team is great for single target boss enemies or large enemies with small numbers, like ruin enemies.
4. In this team raiden also helps generate enrgy for yae and yae helps with resolve stack for raiden's burst makeis a fairly synergistic team.
4. my recommended rotation would be:
Yae Miko : E , E , E >> Raiden: E >> Kazuha: E >> Bennet: E Q >> Yae Miko: Q, E ,E, E(if burst is available) >> Kazuha Q >> Raiden Q, N3C...........
5. You can also use kazuha's Q to swirl electro instead of pyro in a single target situation, so that raiden can also utilize the electro. if there is more than one enemy present, you don't need to do that since there will be electro on atleast one enemy most of the time due to yae's turrets.
6. in case you don't have kazuha, Another iteration of this team is with sunfire jean which is pretty competitive with this team.
apart from that, you can use other anemo units in this team as well, it is though not going to be as good as the kazuha ,jean and sucrose version.

Electro Charged

1. Standard electro charged team with yae basically taking the spot for fischl.
2. the usual rotation would be:
YAe Miko: E E E >> xingqiu: E Q ( E-Q-E if using sacrificial Sword) >> Sucrose: E Q >> Beidou E Q >> Sucrose: N2.......(until the xingqiu and bennet's burst lasts >> YAe Miko: Q(if available)......contd....
3. Strength wise this team is pretty similar to standard fischl version.
4. Although energy recharge could be a big isssue for both yae and beidou. You need a lot of ER% on both of them (about 160-180%). Favonious weapons can help reduce that demand.
Quicken

1. this is one of my personal favorite teams with Yae miko.
2. It is a pretty premium team with three 5 stars characters but the best thing is 2 of the three five star units are very replaceable without sacrificing a lot of damage for the most part.
3. The team addresses both your AoE and Single target needs pretty well. Unless the enemies are immune or highly resistant to electro and dendro, the team performs really well in all situations.
4. My recommended rotation Would be:
Nahida: Q >>> Yae Miko: E E E >> Kazuha E Q >> Nahida E >> Fischl Q >> Yae Miko: Q E E E........contd
5. this team utilizes both yae and fischl's masive buffs from dendro to deal amazing damage.
6. Even though kazuha is the best option in this team, other anemo characters are not far off in term of usability.

7. As for dendro units, if you don't have nahida or didn't pull for her, The two other dendro units are actually pretty good without significant damage loss. erspecially Tighnari.

Hyperbloom

1. not exactly my most favorite team, but it does workk pretty well..
2. the biggest issue is her turrets target enemies randomly and it is a single target.
2.in single target situation, it works the best, As you can replace the Anemo CC unit with fiscl or even beidou, while having nahida be on field to generate lot of dendro cores and yae miko triggering the hyperbloom.
you can replace the anemo CC unit with:

3. But in multi target Situation you will need an Anemo CC to keep the enemies close and the dendro cores along side it, so that yae's turrets can actually hit them.
Mono-Electro

1. It's an honorable mention, and that's all there to it.

As i said said in the start, She , just like every single other characters did get a huge buff after dendro release.
That being said, before the release of dendro, she wasn't a weak unit to begin with. She was actually really strong as an off field electro sub-DPS.
in fact, in my opinion, the issues she had before dendro still remains intact to this day.
CONS:
These are her biggest issues that bother me the most:
1. Long Field Time: it takes a long time to cast her E compared to her competitive units like beidou and fischl. And the pay off for that is slightly higher damage than fischl.
2. Clunky gameplay :She has a very low resistance to interruption, and have no invulnerability frames during casting animation of her Elemental skill. She locks get's lock into animation making it hard to cancel or dodge if required suring this animation
3. Damage range: Her turret damage is completely single target, so she is not particularly an upgrade in terms of role and functionality over fischl.
4. Energy issues: her high burst cost and cooldown makes it impractical to use her burst in every rotation.
5. Great 4 Star Alternative: That being said, all of these are gameplay issues that requires to get used to. She just personally feels very clunky compared to, FISCHL.
Her existence alone makes yae miko a lot less significant in my opinion, since at C0 her damage is not that higher compared to our good old fischl.
PROS: with all that negativity in mind
1. I can clearly see many people might actually enjoy her playstyle, especially those who main Tighnari. In tighnari teams she fits perfectly to fill up the downtime with her long field time.
2. her quicken teams are significantly strong and have multiple F2P and low spender friendly versions to choose from.
3. In term of artifact and weapon investment she has a huge array of options to choose form. She is great pick for older players who have a stock of unused artifacts and weapons.
so the final question is,
SHOULD YOU GET HER?
Well it very much depends.
She is a type of character that you absolutely do not need to play your favorite teams.
But, if you find her interesting and like her playstyle, She is going to provide you with some really strong versions of existing teams.
It's all up to you in that case.
But if you already have her at C0 and was planning for some constellations, i highly suggest not to unless you're willing to go up to C6. her early constellations are pretty lame in my opinion.

so this is the end. If you find the post useful in some way feel free to leave a like. If you don't agree with some things i have said here and found mistakes, feel free to let me know. we can discuss about that for sure. If you have any questions then you can leave that down in comments as well.
